    Hey, I’m a new sub I love the videos I seen. I came to this one many times, as a newer coder, could you precise/explain how to combine html/css with WordPress for example? Like yes we can make the html and css but after that, what follows? How do we deliver it to the client? How do we put it up online? Etc. Can we get a video like that soon? Would help tons of coders looking to freelance.

    • @kaysoverview
      @kaysoverview  Год назад +1

      Hi kenz
      It’s always challenging to pick a right choice. I will just give you my 2 cents but it’s up to you to make a decision.
      Actually going to a university to get a degree in computer science is good but they won’t teach you coding , you will only learn theories , fundamentals, concepts etc.
      Now having a degree is good in the sense that it is a requirement in a lot of tech companies if you are looking to get a job as a software engineer or a programmer.
      Let’s come to boot camps , boot camps will give you foundations in programming languages, they will teach you the basics of coding and programming languages .
      They will teach you the outline they have in their curriculum. It’s good in the sense that if you don’t know how to navigate the world of programming, they will give you a hand to get you started.
      But don’t expect to be an expert when you finish boot camp , because that’s t when the work starts , you have to learn more on your own.
      Now if you have a background knowledge in programming while attending boot camps, you can better utilize the opportunity to the full by asking questions to get all the knowledge and information you need etc
      Attending any of them whether it’s going for a degree or boot camp , there is still going to be a lot of work on your part , so you have to make a choice.
      So sorry that this is long. Let me know if you have more questions, will answer as best as I can .
      And welcome to my channel too, I’m glad to have you here.

    • @kaysoverview
      @kaysoverview  Год назад

      Hey A-zee, That's awesome, you can use that skill to get started. There are ways to get clients , I have found that focusing on one or two is most effective.
      I get 80% of mine through referral. I want to focus on social media marketing , which can be a great way to get client cos you build trust and showcase your expertise by sharing what you can do for them( I will share all that as I try them out )

    • @kaysoverview
      @kaysoverview  Год назад +1

      @@a-zeeskits Personally , I am focusing on instragram , I share my works, tips an tricks, short value videos for my target audience. But , you can choose other platforms to get clients from, and learn how it works. These are some ways :
      1. Upwork and fiverr : I'll be honest with you, I have not tried out these platform for getting clients , and they are the most popular. But if you learn how it works and set up ur profile and learn from someone that gets clients from it , it will surely work out for you.
      2. Personal website: Create a personal website to showcase your work, list your services, and provide contact information for potential clients to reach out to you. But most of the time , you will have to have a strong SEO for clients to find you through your website and that might includes writing targeted blog posts
      3. Email marketing and cold outreach : This means getting emails of people will you like to work for and sending it message of what you can do . And hopefully , they will give you work
      4. Content marketing: This is the route I am taking , it means using content to attract your prospective clients . It can be on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, tiktok, email etc . The contents can be classified into educational, promotional, inspirational contents etc
      There is also paid advertising, networking etc
      These are some of the ways to get clients . I will probably make a detailed video explaining them. I hope this is helpful, I'm here to answer any further questions you have . Wish you all the best
