I honestly feel like I could be a pro, I just need to work on my aim, movement, positioning, crosshair placement, macro, comms, game knowledge, mid round decisions, agent pool, strategy, confidence, mental, timing, coordination, and util usage

So when I did a vod review, he looked and said "You better call this" and I DID, but I literally ignore my own comm.
I will give a comm like "They have economic advantage, so let's smoke dumb, close angles. The Reyna lurks from B every round, so kj hold for her. Raze always holds here with an op, so flash, then we'll raze fade combo them, let's default, ending B" Then I will be extremely passive, and bait everyone, and be caught with my util out.
Safe to say Woohoojin closed my vod, only after 5 rounds. "It's a miracle your diamond with these mechanics" 😂

I would say you’re getting que diffd or you’re playing scared. But if you’ve moved up that quickly your mechs should be sharp enough to continue laying out diamonds. It’s in your head at that point.

My biggest issue is not being able to play enough, life just being life. Looking forward to keep watching and climbing
Super interesting vid. Almost reminds me in chess how you can make an "inaccuracy" not necessarily a blunder that loses a round instantly but enough small inaccuracies in things like routing add up and you find yourself in a difficult position a pro wouldn't have even found themselves in to begin with. E.g. being 2 seconds late with no util left and having to hit a difficult shot. You think oh I wonder how the pro would handle that and you notice they're very rarely even in that sort of situation because they do all the small things right.
This is one of the things that makes League of Legends a difficult game to learn.
A lot of the mistakes are ones you made 5 minutes ago so it's difficult to draw sound conclusions without lots of game knowledge.
Having separate rounds and a half-time econ reset in Valorant does a lot to alleviate this.

It might just be me but I feel like ever since everything came out about hooj, I noticed in this coaching he's so much "nicer" and "softer" now. Is it because the credentials have been show to be lower than previously assumed?
not sure if that's the case, but if it is then I'm glad. I've always thought the content would be more enjoyable if it weren't so condescending

9:08 I half agree with you on this. For most ultimates yeah I'd you can convert a round you should just use it. But I think gun ultimates require a slightly different line of thought. Because they aren't just "an ability" they are also economy. Jett knives are worth 2900 credits if your team is poor.
So I would say it's not never but there is an additional economic consideration to be made with Jett knives as opposed to something like KJ ult.

Still might be very low elo but still thanks a lot hooj, been improving lots with your videos, used to average just iron 2 for a while but now peak silver 2 and still climbing thanks to just the gold routine + other misc videos.

to go from silver into gold and higher i recommend watching a video by konpeki called "these 44 minutes cover everything game sense" or something like that. it explains no mechanics but simply how to station yourself with and how to play off of your teammates. what you should be doing and when and why. and what you shouldnt be doing and why. he also explains macro's and fundamentals and which things to take into consideration and which things that can be ignored and why. watching that video took me from hardstuck silver 3 to Peak Plat 1 i kid you not. made me see the game in a completely different light.
mr banana, i have realized thatyour original playlist on aimlabs with voltaic sort of got rid of you parttaking in the maps and generally any mention of you in the playlist. does this have to do with that drama or something, cuz you did work towards makng that playlist so it just feels wrong and lonely since there isnt a banana watching over me

Listen Hooj, I know you don't wanna hear about it anymore, but I don't mind you claimed Radiant coaching. You had the buddy and the idea and just wanted to grow your coaching. If you were a bad coach I'd get why people would be so upset, but your coaching even as an ascendant 3 is better than most any coach I've ever seen. Plus you give free help. Radiant level coaching is how you could portay it without being actual Radiant coaching. because you are radiant level and even analyze pro play very good. Thank you Hooj for sticking with us and keep going dispite people hating

the thing is, one of the most famous league coach hasnt hit high elo himself, he mentioned it as " having game knowledge from watching pro analysis, can't be easily translated into the game, unless you play really long to practice it", he had the radiant game knowledge from always reviewing pro analysis, recording each and every lineup, incorporating it in his gameplay is where he struggles

But yea, this statement is 100% true and you will see this in every pro sport. How many soccer coaches are out there that never played professionally in any big league. Or how many basketball coaches are there that never professionally played in the NBA. Being a good coach is about understanding how to convey your expertise. And the bananaman is incredible good at conveying information.

Chara7an, flexninja, and doctor freeze are all good ones, I think Maxie has a few omen videos and I really like his content. I’d also recommend just looking up a pro player and then the map you want to get better at and watch how they play.

I think he’s way too embarrassed to even address that, hence you can see his insecurity pop up in the intros of the new videos trying to highlight that he’s the “ AS3” Controller main along with the tracker snapshot.

However, the coach is someone who has studied the game extensively, to the point where they know the differences that will lead to you winning. For a Valorant example: Potter who is EGs coach also isn't Radiant. However she was able to turn the team around and set them up to win world's.

As I said to someone else, he is a coach. Coaches often aren't at the peak of their play and that's why they are.... A COACH. In sports like soccer or basketball you will see that the coaches on those teams often wouldn't be able to compete with even B tier teams. However the coach has studied the game extensively, putting thousands of hours into studying it, which puts them in a position where they can enable the best players to do even better than they even think they can.
Take Potter from EG as an example, she isn't Radiant either, however because she has studied the game extensively, she was able to turn EG around and enable thme to win worlds.
