I've been following him for many years...read his books..listened to him....like everybody else. But I'm just asking again for this particular part. What is this 'fight' about...? What are the situations...?? like for example? (I'm relatively an opinionated and extrovert person...so I'm genuinely wondering here.. in what situations you actually saying lies to please other people or not saying things..)

If you’ve been a part of a social circle for a while you start to recognize the “white lie” behavior, in others and yourself. This behavior is basically this, it’s when you lie about something very small or pivotal to avoid conflict or attention. For example, you’re with some co-workers and one of them who you particularly like says “I can’t stand Mac and cheese, it’s gross”, now you could playfully and honestly be in disagreement and say “aw man I love it, it’s not so bad…” or to just be in congruency with the social circle you could lie and just agree that you also hate Mac and cheese or not express yourself at all. It’s a very small stupid thing to do but many people do this type of thing constantly. All the while those same people are telling themselves small lies like “ I can’t take care of this responsibility because of *{insert excuses}*”. It’s a mental defense mechanism stemming from lack of self confidence and awareness. It’s harmful because it’s the opposite of being an honest confident individual and we owe it to ourselves to be honest and confident because honest and confident people are better for society and benefit themselves better than slightly anxious people who are also chronic liars. This is not to say if you’re not confident and tell white lies that you are lesser or worse , it’s just that it’s a hard way to be that puts too much pressure on a person. You’re better off accepting yourself, being confident and accepting what your personality and likes bring in to your life despite what others think.
