Vladimir Myasishchev is one of the most over-looked and under-rated designers in the whole history of aviation. Excellent video!
Beautiful film. Glad to see his story preserved for all of time now. He was a truly amazing and underappreciated engineer.
Hello Henry. Agreed. This was pretty amazing and I did not really know the story. Very pleased to see it told.
True.
Thanks the translation my friend. Greetings from Brazil
I was not going to translate this video, but people really wanted to watch it here
@@SkyshipsEng thank you so much. We all around the world love to know a bit more of Russian and aviation legends. Thank you
@@SkyshipsEng We really did. And you delivered!
@@SkyshipsEng Many, many thanks for organising the translation.
I can't think of a time when I have been disappointed by one of your presentations. OK, this isn't your film, but you have made it possible for me to watch something I would otherwise not see.
Thank you for this video. I didn't really expect to see one about Myasishcev on youtube. It's really interesting timing for you uploading this, as I just finished reading the memoirs of Leonid Selyakov, who was for a long time one of the main designers working on the M4 and 3M Bison aircraft. From his stories it seems like Myasishcev managed to create an amazing team with an impeccable work philosophy and ethic, which is reflected in the success of their designs. To me this is a no lesser acheviement than his feats as an aircraft designer.
I'll have to watch this on my TV, where I can take time to read the captions. Thank you for this video (and the translation) uploader. 🤗
The subtitles are embedded in the video itself, it wasn't separately uploaded, and you don't have to press the CC button.
@@mirzaahmed6589 Thank you. It's just the I prefer to see on a bigger screen. 😆
Thanks for translating this video. The design of the M-50 could come from a science fiction novel. Such a sleek design. Unfortunately, it never got beyond the prototype status.
Now we need a longer version, what an amazing video!
Absolutely facinating 👍👍👍
Hello Flemming. Sky has never let us down has he? A really great story
The visiual quality and making of this video is beyond what I normaly see here. So far so good. On the other hand it lacks a lot of information why this creations were so outstanding. And no, impressing politicans with some promises doesn`t count for it. I`m glad to learn something about russian aviation, but I wish for a more historical and distanced fashion in persentation like in the AN 2 or AN 22 videos. Or for another example see the vid series from Milenium 7* about the B 58 Hustler. The plane was a failure, but the technology and thought which went into this plane is very impressive up to this day. Anyway, I would like to thank you for all the information so well presented here on this channel.
Alwayys wondered where the Bison came from, now I dont. Epic video, thanks.
I always had a soft spot for the M55 Geophysica.
What a beautiful and emotional video... Thank you very much!
Excellent video!!!!!
This documentary gavee goosebumps....
Fabulous. Stunning tribute to a Giant of Aviation. Well done.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
What a super pleasant production to watch. That cottage he built is wonderful, I hope it has a way to live on going forward! The M-50 was just ahead of its time. I am sure with more advanced (power, reliability, fuel economy) it would have had a bright future.
Спасибо за документальный фильм. Это была отличная презентация!
Best misclick of my life, what a beautifull documentary
Your channel is great, I love it! Finally a proper recognition of Soviet Aircraft Design! Отлично, спасибо большое! Мой новый самый любимый канал!! )))
A wonderful tribute to a great man!
Very interesting. Thanks!
I am a fan of Russian aviation and women I love Russia
Great video of a genius in is.time. thanks
What gives RUclips??? You didn't notify me about this video not did it pop up til 2 weeks after he posted it?
Awesome tribute….
Well this was a surprise... a pleasant one, but confusing.
Is this some of your work, or a repost? The information quality is up to standards for the channel, but it feels different.
As a fervent subtitle Nazi I prefer much better the perfect Russian narration with the subtitles.
Makes it feel more professional.
I went thru some of the comments already. Can't make everyone happy. Fact of life.
Please, ignore most of them lambasting your work and concentrate on the positive ones.
Be happy with your work and let the critics moan about w/e the F this should have been and isn't.
Keep up the great work. 👌🙂👍
Very nice
Excellent production quality! Great video! This is coming from an American with no knowledge of russian aviation whatsoever...
мое глубочайшее почтение одному из величайших авиаконструкторов в мире
Wonderful
great homage to Myasishche
Your production values are improving. Are you a film student, by any chance?
Thank you! The world needs to know more about the real facts and truth of Russia/USSR aviation history, because all of the English materials on the internet are biased at best, while most are twisted and full of false assumptions. The fact that most people on the internet cannot understand Russian (including myself), and while the majority of the netizens can understand English to some extend, it's not a surprise that false information and history are being spread around as if they were true. So I think translated Russian content, made by Russian, about Russian history like this are very important to spread the words of truth to the world. For me personally, I have always been questioning those fake proclaimed history of USSR aviation that the western media has been spreading around, since I always questioned myself "if the USSR were always 'copying designs in an extremely faulty way that resulted in simplified and underperforming products' like how the western media said, then how did my country (Vietnam) were able to shot down supersonic, missile armed F4s, F5s, F101s fighters (which were the state of the art machines of the time) using the Korean war-era, subsonic, machine gun firing MiG-17s which were made literally more than 10 years prior to those US fighters? Sure, our pilot's skills are good, but nonetheless without an appropriate equipment it still would have been impossible, so then, if the MiGs were products of a sloppy, "poor man's built" copycat job, then how did they managed to down aircrafts that were 10-15 years newer, again and again?". Thus in the back of my head I have always been questioning what the western says about Soviet aviation history, and it is difficult to find accurate English source of the topic. So, thank you again for this precious piece of information, spasibo!
Respect !
Великолепно
Woh what a legendary jet man
Did you upload this under duress?
Excellent video! If it is right to call a military plane beautiful, then the Bison surely qualifies as one. An amazing man, who designed amazing aircraft. He’ll not be forgotten.
Where I can found this documentary in Torrent?
Please do the NAMC YS-11
Was this the Soviet "Kelly Johnsen"?
Lesgo Soviet aircraft are epik!
Having subtitle instead of you (SKY) is not very original of you . Sorry , call me choosy but , I prefer you as the narrator.
3 minutes of being posted

I don't know, Myasishchev's designs never really turned out to be that relevant except maybe the M-55 and that came in very late. All the other Cold War designs were duds.
They were too ahead of their time for their own good.

Trust me. If someone calls you a bison they are not being respectful.
Maybe)
@@SkyshipsEng probably made by the same compliant media that right now is failing report to the Russian people Putin's latest farce of an election. Every Russian I meet seems intelligent so I'm always baffled by why the leaders feel the need to constantly tell them lies and half truths
@@alibizzle2010 If you bothered to follow along with rest of us you'd know who came up with Bison.
The American bison is certainly a venerated animal. There is nothing disrespectful about naming something after it.
Not true at all. You know they're not being respectful when they call you Fishbed, a name the MiG-21 did not deserve at all. It was an excellent aircraft. What does it mean when they call you Felon? NATO better call the MiG-41 - Firefox.
english!
