Don’t have to read LOL in short I just relate to Yoh -if u wish to read: I relate a lot to Yoh, especially since I was in a relationship like this but it ended in a break up (the other person didn’t wanna date anymore) and we both had our issues, the thing is I liked the feeling of being below another person and chasing them while crushing on them, and the feeling of them not loving me or me worrying about being nothing in a relationship. In the moment I’d worry and feel anxiety + sadness but really I was obsessed with those feelings, in the moment I’d see myself trying to fix things but if everything was ok I’d look for reasons to be sad or look for things to fix. It felt good when this person ghosted me or got angry at me, the everlasting anxiety felt romantic. Due to being used to this I haven’t been able to love people unconditionally, my friend has crushes on me for about 3 years now and they say they obsess over me (like how I obsessed over my ex) but I can only feel romantic attraction when the other person is a piece of crap, yet I’ve been having feelings for this friend of mine too, so I’m trying to build something healthy between us. Lol. But really.. I like ignorant people who would in a sense “bully” me in the relationship

Without watching the series, it can definitely be misunderstood. The characters are flawed and they lack communication but they very much love each other from beginning to end. Fear of expressing their feelings causes a lot of misunderstandings which leads to “toxic” moments. Coming from someone who’s been in a physical, mental, and emotionally abusive relationship, this is not a bad relationship and they’re developing as the story progresses. I loved it. I can’t wait for season 2 to see the growth of their relationship. The actors are fantastic as well.

No. It is not abusive. The plots are interesting. This is rare gem. Very pleasant watch. Their words have hidden meaning. You need to see beyond the surface. Their expression of love is unique.. Watch it! It is funny & romantic. Highly recommended.

Personally, before starting a japanese bl i check if there’s a manga and read it first, then proceed with the drama (P.S this is not thai bl, so always remember that if there’s an upcoming j-bl, ALWAYS CHECK IF THERE’S A MANGA!! Because a lot of thai bl fans are always complaining about j-bls and it’s getting quite annoying). Also, some people here tend to be unknowing of such complex characters, thus misunderstanding them and immediately labeling them as red flags or abusive.
I'm sorry, but I have to reply. Why the hell should I read manga, they made an independent series, there's no warnings or something, I'm a viewer who is not familiar with the origin story. It's the same as telling that shitty movies with no logic are actually great, and you can find all the answers in the book it's based on. Also it is indeed abusive relationships and no background changes it, no one becomes abusive just because they want to and it's not an excuse. I personally think it's an interesting drama to watch and everyone makes their own conclusions, but no need to justify them and pretend it's normal and no red flags included.
I just rewatched the series. It’s very beautiful and they are in a new relationship and each misunderstands the other. But communication gets better and they listen to each other more. Very sweaty, and sweet!
