Being aware of my familial history, I have consciously followed two mantras, healthy diet and regular exercise. I get tested every six months and have managed to keep diabetes in balance successfully. Thank you for a very informative session. Looking forward to your endeavours in addressing diabetes through technology.

Dr Nene I have one question. When a person is Diabetic they loose their working efficiency. Sometimes mind remains blank and pace of work becomes slow. There is a certain duration only the individuals are productive. How can one handle onself so that a person can work. Especially the ones who were once good at multitasking but now become mentally weak and procrastinate. A detailed discussion from you on this will be very helpful in your video.

Great info. I think you should also add some of the pre-cursors like PCOS that cause diabetes. The only solution to PCOS so far in allopathic treatments is contraceptives and new findings and research should be directed to this. This causes gestational diabetes in women during pregnancy and leads to onset of diabetes post pregnancy as well.

It was a very informative video. Had a question though.
What does it mean when they say A1C, what are we actually measuring.
According to my understanding it’s sort of a wholesome measurement of glucose over a certain (longer) time span, monthly average sort. But please if you can clarify, it would be great.
One last thing. Whenever my father fasts, at the time of breaking his fast, his blood sugar gets quite low; around 80’s which makes him feel that he should fast more often. But when he gets his A1C done, the results show otherwise (it comes elevated). Could you please explain how that works?

Thank you Dr. Nene for this short input on diabetes. I myself is type 1 diabetic for 21 years. I am and have learnt that it is not just what you eat,but when you are diabetic everything that happens around you matters in order for your sugar levels to be or not to be under control. It is by far the most slow deadly disease to live and adapt with. Positive side is that you can learn alot from it.

Why ur audience is from India mainly? Patriotic or best bet on marketing? Am I being cynical? Or my question makes sense? Should a lame person think its a condition that is alarming ? Or diabetes helping Pharma industry as cancer and heart health has already booked health industry?
Is your channel needs subscription alone or if a Doctor alone from his ethos talking to us?
If u r so bothered about India and its people's health, then why doesn't doctors never talk about how to prevent it? Or suggest the life style which is the best? Is it about losing customers( patients)? If u r bold enough as it is ur private channel, (MORE SO, HONEST TO UR CONSCIENCE), can you talk about the hype? Diabetes is definitely a condition, but why we ( esp people making this video) feel safe with jargons to people of India if u understand the demography, esp. when u are blessed with a life partner who has seen what is India much through her profession and her sound intelligence?
Come down to the real world within India. Visit the roads and slums. Know the real picture. Just book knowledge with limited comforting research within the comfort zone will never give the real picture.
If with that's said by me, doesn't make sense. Its ur call. We can always have intellectual talks with no meaning to practical use. Yes, ignorant and desparate people looking forward for cure can definitely be a good audience.
I am not aware whether Madhuri with ur help are making a real change on the ground in India. If it's happening , i appreciate.
If it's only videos with intellectual down pour, its a looser effect.
Ram, make a difference. We are there to help on ground level. Not just India. But, the world. If it's not practical. Then stop the intellectual selling.
    Thank u. God bless

Hello Doctor..I'm Type 1 diabetic,Juvinial Diabetic case with 7.2 as Hba1c..it is really hard to maintain my sugars even if i am not eating any oily/ unhealthy food. I'm on insulin pump n take Humilog insulin. My sugar levels are still high. Just wanted to share a myth about Diabetics ..if we drink bitter guard juice , our sugar levels will be normal, however as per my observation it actually brings down the sugar levels drastically and to bring the sugar levels back to normal we again have to have some biscuits or someting that can increase the sugars. Secondly...if our sugar levels are down, ie, less than 80 after meal then can we have 30-40 raisens instead of a spoon of sugar to increase the sugar levels? Is that safe or it is always better to take a spoon of sugar than any substitute? Many thanks & regards.
