The combat helicopter Mil Mi-24P (P for cannon) was launched in April 1981 and remained in serial production until 1989. Different from the early versions with a machine gun, it has high firepower due to a dual-barreled 30mm cannon GS-2-30K mounted on the right side of the fuselage. Aiming is done by turning the whole helicopter, consequently the pilot (commander) is firing the cannon. In addition this helicopter can carry up to 2400 kg of arms load: bombs, unguided rockets and antitank missiles. The Mi-24P took actively part in the Afghan war, in combat operations in Chechnya, and during the Russian Air Force operation in Syria. It is still
in service in Russia and many other countries worldwide.
Thank you for the model review, especially for the AM stuff review. Another kit I will definitely buy. Спасибо!
Great introduction, looking forward to following you along the way building this one.
WOW!!!
Looking forward to this one. Those aftermarket parts look like they are more than worth it.
I am looking forward to this build! :)
we will get around to it... a week or two of armour builds... then i will let you guys vote on next aircraft subject !
Never tried to build any 1/48 aircrafts because of the scale. Mostly i am into 1/72 but this model is actually scaled up version of their old 1/72 Mi-24 ( Crocodile) model.
I really like the new style of videos with the music background. I think you said it's like everyone has done a video & after a while , you hear the same thing over & over again. I watched you video on the zvezda mi-24p and I love this kit. I can seem to find the pe set that contains the heat shield portion that goes on the very top just behind the engine exhaust.
Can you steer me in the proper direction. Thanx for all of the awesome videos you put out
Hi big thanks for the comments ! The PE comes from mikrodesign... but unfortunately it may be a problem obtaining depending where you live? microdisign.ru/
Even though I am from Russia and already knew all this aftermarket goodies (bought on myself) I’m also looking forward for a build of this beast👍
Я живу в России
@@TheBearScaleModels да я так и подумал судя по некоторым видам природы и наклейки Армы на коробке с моделью.😊
You should be so happy ☺ Have fun
Oh yes!!
I've been looking at this kit a lot recently, and it's now on my shopping list. The After-market components look fantastic. Can I ask who your supplier was in Russia? Thanks
I vote for this monster choppy
Very informative review Bear... Just one question...how much difference is there between the Zvesda kit and the Revell kit??? I have the Revell kit and want to know if these upgrades will work for it or not??? 🤔
do revell produce a 1/48 Mi-24 p? according to scalemates only Zvezda? www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=All&q=mi-24p*&fkSCALENORMALISED[]=%221:00048%22
@@TheBearScaleModels Actually, after looking at my kit, no, it is the D Bear. Are there interior upgrades available for it and if not, what are the differences and what upgrades would work???
@@TheBearScaleModels that Revell one is a rebox of the old Monogram Mi-24D kit from 1987 (with raised panel lines). And the upgrade is worth it - not for the interior so much but the engines are better and the basic shape and angle when viewed from the front is right in the Zvezda kit (not so much with thje M onogram one)
Just found this recently after searching for the new release from Eduard, cracking review. Do Arma models ship to UK? I have been on their site but cannot add anything to the basket!
thanks Unfortunately they only post to RU, Belorussia and KZ ... BUT check they have a Ebay site with international shipping.
@@TheBearScaleModels Many thanks, found on eBay, unfortunately the rivet set is not listed. Looking forward to the build.
@Robert Clark. Try contacting them directly. I did and they send you instructions on how to order internationally. I haven't ordered yet though.
@@markburgess4528 Thanks Mark, email sent.
@@robertclark3924 I went looking for their site on ebay, but couldn't find it. Do you have a link please. Thanks
I am building this monster too but not looking forward to adding all the rivet details
do you also have the decal set or are using a riveting tool... this kit will be one you can vote for as my next aircraft build. I think the riveting you do will pay off !
What dealer do you use in Russia
arma models a lot of the time
