@@liamjacques5335his name was actually Thomas. Tad was a nickname by Abe because of his small body and large head and because he wiggled like a tadpole as an infant.
Seeing the toy train reminds me that Robert was about to get hit by an actual train but was saved by a man named Edwin Booth aka John Wilkes Booth’s brother
Robert lived a very interesting life. He was called to his father's bedside after he was shot, was present when Garfield was shot, and arrived at the train station soon after McKinley was shot. He vowed to never be where the president was after that.
Thad must be the favorite because he accepts the truth without beating around the bush. So weet of him to be okay with his dad not wanting to read him a book tonight!
This is funny, I actually developed the same techniques for never actually telling a lie, by being intentionally vague. It’s cool too see that there is actually theory too the skill I developed
I recall reading about a moment where a debate opponent called him two-faced. His response wasn't a lie...but it was evasive. "I leave it to my audience, if I had two faces, would I be wearing this one?"
These techniques are fine as it allows individuals to be subtle and maintain discretion and privacy. The world needs to stop demanding openness and vulnerability like it's a new virtue or 11th commandment. Edit: it's the responsibility of the individual to fully seek out a matter. Good friends can pickup on a vague comment and respect the persons privacy.
"I am fine.. with... this." *Points at his paperwork and nods his head, then gestures to him and Robert and shakes his head.*
Such a great sketch!😂😂😂
Didn’t even catch that the first time 😂
Same😊
This is quite a Studio C video.
Best I've seen...all...um, day.
This is the best Abe Lincoln Studio C sketch I've ever seen! (Assuming sketches with cameos don't count as sketches)
Wait, so he'll run circles around Robert but tell Thad the truth? He really is his favorite
It’s Tad actually
@@stephensheridan1279 I thought it was Thad like Thaddeus, my bad
@@liamjacques5335his name was actually Thomas. Tad was a nickname by Abe because of his small body and large head and because he wiggled like a tadpole as an infant.
@@stephensheridan1279 Huh, learned something new today
@@liamjacques5335 He decided to mess with Robert, knowing the content of the "Ted talk," is my head canon 😛
Best sketch I've seen in the last four minutes and thirty seconds!🤩😍🤣
I love this. James is awesome.
I can tell this is written by old cast.
Oh yeah l was like the old crew is back soo good ❤😂😂❤
1:14 "Define bread." 🤣🤣🤣
these writers have such a command of language. HYSTERICAL
I'm so glad that studio c has made more stuff with the old cast. I've been a fan since forever and i'm so happy that they are making more sketches❤️❤️
this is old sketche they made for other platform
Just like the time Abe Lincoln was on that "Say Yes to the Dress" parody. Who remembers that sketch?
I do. But was it really from that long ago? Because I’m pretty sure it’s more of a recent sketch🤷🏽♀️
Say Yes to The Vest?
@@JarkeDarnit no a different one I think. Just search up “studio c say yes to the dress with honest Abe.”
oh yeeeaah I haven't watched a lot of the new ones both of them exist tho@@lanafrank6086
I'm learning a lot about myself through this one
Best sketch of the hour!
The writing is really good in this skit
He did end up teaching Robert how to never lie…but I never said Robert would want to be that way.
I love these sketches so much...they brighten my day. Promise you'll never stop making them!
Honest Abe! Hahaha. Nice job guys.

Instead of going to the recital, Lincoln went to go watch a play in public. He had just won the war after all
Interestingly, had he gone to the recital, he would have been shot 4 times because it was just that bad 😛
Abe Lincoln being top hat at not telling lies was music to my possibly attended piano recital (if I was not somewhere else) ears.
I've said it before (especially about the JK! Finish The Sketch James did in broad cockney) but James is UNDERRATED!!
Best video I've seen in 4 and a half minutes.
a Black Truth is crazy😂😂😂😂😂
Actually a really good way of teaching the different ways of half-truthing that politicians like to do. very helpful things to look out for.
An introvert trying not to make plans they'll inevitably want to break
Love the vids guys
Loved this!
Black Truth 😅
Awesome sketch 😂
Exactly like talking to my teenagers!
Hilarious AND informative 😂♥
Abe Lincoln: By Washingtons' wooden teeth! Robert, I'm in politics lying is mandatory in this line of work!
Now that's good writing ❤❤
Well done!
thats crazy i just learned about equivocation in rhetoric
awesome sketch
Jason is the best
I love this😅😂😂😂
Reverse Pinocchio! also this one was mind boggling

This is truer than some people want to admit. "Honest Abe" wasn't always so honest!

@@Regfife In his debates with Stephen A. Douglas, he did some serious waffling on the question of whether blacks were socially equal with whites.
Finally a good old sketch written by James Perry!
James is so funny
Go Jason
A BLACK TRUTH 🤣 I also hate lying and try to get around it using very similar methods so i feel called out 😂

i really thought that he was going to say something about going to the recital right after his trip to Ford's was over.
I do that all the time 😂
Those were the days…
More Lincoln than Lincoln...😂
This video is the best Abraham Lincoln sketch, that aired after the cast left
(See: The Adventures of Abraham Lincoln)
Thats not Tad, that's Scott Sterling!!
This must be an older skit, cause this one is actually funny! Bring back the good writers!!!
Yep abe was a politician lol
A black truth

HI STUDIO C BOTH OLD AND NEW
The old gang is back.
When did this happen!!!!!
Hate to kill your enthusiasm, but this sketch isn’t recent. They reposted it.
Best bread of the day? Mist likely he ate only one type of bread.
POV:politicians making promises
Natalie’s dress looks so uncomfortable 😂
I'm so confused why these weren't posted back in the day and what the point is now?
This sorta reminds me of kyle😂
Did the original cast return? This looks like an interesting mix of old and new cast...
A sketch that was on the show but never posted to RUclips.
Is this a repost? Specifically by old cast
Cos the vibe different
Is the original cast returning to studio c?
Lincoln hated her bread. He lied
This is actually a bit flattering to Lincoln....
Hi
ha
I definitely didn't....not....get Kyle vibes.....?
" a black truth"
Given the time period and the character, for a split second I was afraid this would go in a very dangerous direction...
Why? It’s Studio C
