@ploumx small jungle creeps just despawn after a while. Long ago it was meta to leave enemy creeps alive so their camps didn't respawn, but they changed it

@DestinationX85 it depends, for example not getting one of the small kruggs or raptors wont matter because u get lvl4 from first clear anyway
however it does kind of delay ur second clear on that camp as it takes like 10 seconds to despawn after at what point the respawn timer starts
im honestly impressed because from a jungle perspective xpeku did not clear close to perfection so if he gets some jungle basics down this will be insanely strong depending on the matchup (elise is generally not a good one, broxah is washed)
Broxah is in denial about Shen jungle. It's nothing special but getting to ult without being responsible for defending your own turrets is pretty jungle coded.
aside from the ulti, another strength of shen jungle is the flexibility. Like if you go kindred jungle, you're going ad carry build, there's no question about it. With shen you can build physical damage, magic damage, supportive items, tanky items, whatever the comp needs. That's what makes shen a really consistant pick, cause whatever you would want to build towards kinda works. In this case elise was a problem? Kaenic rookern and elise is not even a threat anymore. 2 crit based champs dealing damage? Randuin's omen and they're barely problematic anymore. CC heavy team? You build items to have a powerful engage and it kinda works, tanky comp? Dusk and dawn and maybe botrk if being squishier is not an issue.
I've been commenting on his tier lists, where is Shen? No response he needs help.

@JumalaPlays of course! i am a telecommunications engineering student, and this field involves a lot of theoretical knowledge and critical thinking. xPetu has the mind of a perfect engineer. He analyzes every item and rune, walks us through his thought process, why he does certain things and that attention to the small details to optimize it's what's stuck with me. He treats the game like a system and he is very mathematically accurate.

Back in the very early seasons, I had a mate who was a Challenger Rammus player.
He'd abuse Rammus getting AD from armor with Sword of the Divine to point and click the enemy carries.

Me and my mate would funnel before funneling was a thing with Old Mordekaiser and Nautilus Mid/Jg duo. You couldn't escape the super bonk with naut and a pet dragon. Early seasons was cooking with prime cuts

I've been spamming Shen Jungle for the past few weeks because i saw you playing it in one of Husum's videos and I have about 22 games on it with an 81.8% winrate. Shen is actually a very good sleeper pick imo, and a lot of people don't expect the damage output or they forget about his ult. Thank you for inspiring all of us Shen players to get out of toplane!

7:00 Damage perception is such a huge thing in league but I've never been able to put it into words. I think you explained it really well. This theory of damage perception I think applies to grievous wounds and serpents fang, where you're expecting a shield or heal of a certain amount, yet the reduction changes that perception. So even if your serpents fang shielding reduced numbers are relatively low there's another aspect to consider.
Damage perception was a PITA in OG DotA. Because health bars weren't normalized. So some heroes had longer health bars than others. So you could visually see your opponent's health bar move by more per hit than yours. Except they just had a longer health bar than you. So actually they were doing more damage to you, but it looked like the opposite.
This is what makes onetricks so impressive sometimes as they know exactly how much their champ can do so they can go for plays that other people can't see even are possibilities. I think however that protoplasm is just another item that people can get used to over time and then take the heal into account when evaluating plays, so ultimately nothing special if a bit deceptive.

Shen jungle main here, I climbed to diamond with this tech this season, and I think it is certainly viable, but you need to be rather tank/support focused on objectives, pretty much what you showed here (getting all drakes early). At one point I was one of the best jg shen's in the world, but fell off since then :D
A few points I wanted to share:
1. I 100% agree on the rune page. This is what I was rolling pretty much the whole season so far, especially since they nerfed the pipes making it cost 300 more. Before this I ran with sorcery as secondary, but 300g saved on boots compensates.
2. This brings me to the bandlepipes. I do not build them in every game, but in a great majority because of how huge this item is not only for shen, but overall in current meta which sees so many adcs. In this game alone you had corki, kaisa and smolder. Thoughts on this over the belt? I would 100% build this here.
3. Bonk scepter too stronk. Stronger than hydra in pretty much any game, but it gives too little health in the early game, that is why I still build bami's first into scepter of bonking and usually followed by bandlepipes, but depends on the game, although I am still not sure this is the way to go... Perhaps I should drop bami's?
4. Randuin also very strong because of crit meta and point 2 above, I build it very often now as well.
5. Beacause of a more support role, towards the late game I often build knight's vow as well, to support my carries even more. I once won a game where overfed darius on my team and I defended nexus 2v5. He got penta, and I took over 2k of damage directed towards him in that fight alone. He would be dead without it, and the game would be lost. I think shen's kit is great to survive things like that, even when behind.
6. I will get flamed once I lock in shen today because u added another river shen video, people will think I don't know what I am doing :D

Awhile ago he played redemption shen support i think it would still work. remember to max E for maximum cooldown on it. Bandlepipes is definitely a good item to build.

I'm glad (or maybe not, now everyone will know how good it is) someone is finally talking about this item, I've been building it on Tahm for a while. My favorite thing is definitely how it trolls the enemies damage perception, it's unbelievable the amount of times I've had people throw an AA/spell at me on low health, turn around, starting to walk away, and then be utterly confused at me surviving because of the max health change, and after that often the whole fight turns and falls apart for them, which is always hilarious

As for the max hp effect; in eve online we have a similar mechanic. We call it effective hp. Or EHP. And TTK is the common way to determine how strong high ehp builds are. By adding 300 max hp your taking someones damage and EFFECTIVLY reducing it. Their damage doesnt change, but its impact on the total health % you have does.

I instalock Shen Jungle if I see Bel Veth, Briar, Viego, or any other auto-attack heavy Junglers and solo laners.
Ganking with E Q W and blocking autos while I chunk them is toooooo damn good.
Not to mention Shen R whenever I want to use it. And never being punished for doing it because I don't have a tower and plates to defend. I do run Aftershock > Guardian just so I can force dives with the tank stats to eat tower shots when I land E though. The Guardian build interests me though, I'll have to try it.
As a viego player shen matchup is kind of suffocating, but if they mess up and you get a lead you can win it easily. Shen is very good at stopping viego from getting a reset, but if your team is able to kill him first shen reset is op asf and you will auto win. I have a positive winrate against it for that reason, but when I play against good shungle players it’s kind of hell because he just stops everything you want to do
