Layout is getting better and better. Great tricks to solve issues. Had the same issue long ago. Did the same and fixed my issue. Tricks come from long time experience and great imagination lol. Amazing how 500 trees are not enough and 8 to 900 doesnt seem like alot. Keep up the videos . Sry for your loss.
@@N-Scale your welcome Mike. Look forward to your videos all the time. I hope and pray i can still do as much as you when im as seasoned as you. Im about 20 years younger and sometimes i envy your mobility lol. Keep moving Mike. God bless you and yours !
Tim Edge here-- So sad to learn of your friend and fellow railroader in his time of declining health. May God bless him and his family through this. All the added trees really fill-in your layout. Seems like always something to repair on a railroad ( just like the real ones). By the way Harbor Freight sells a hot knife blade type foam cutter makes fast time on that ash pit hole. Thanks for all you do with these videos. Take care.
Mike I’m sorry yo hear that your friend is not doing well. I’ll send some prayers to you all. It’s harrowing to hear about stuff like that. The addition of new trees look great! Thank you for making that video for me. I appreciate you taking the time for that. That set looks so good going around that layout! It looks right at home on your layout. Now I definitely need to look into building an El Captain train. That’s such a pain that the cars have you trouble in the process. I agree with you on what you said at the end of your video. It’s good to find problems with your layout and just fix them instead of just removing the trains that are problematic.
Hi Mike I am so so sorry about your friend! My love 💞 and prayers 🙏🏻 go to his family and friends! I hope you get your mustang parts im broke till next month lol or i would buy i plan to get stuff from ya next month! I am glad you resolved your train problem! have a great rest of your weekend and a great week! 💞💞
Great video Mike, I really enjoyed it. Losing a friend and fellow modeler is never easy, my club has lost two longtime members in the last year alone, and everyone misses them. The new trees sure make a big difference to the layout, it really looks great.
Mike, Your ending advice for examining and correcting a rolling stock problem is well taken. Fair thee well to your friend and to you for sharing your feelings about him.
I had the same train in HO at the club but i havent been there since last November through bad health, and at the moment I hace a a very bad case of the flue enven though i did have the flue injection 3 months ago. but i have been working on my Nscale but do not have this in Nscale but working on getting some soon.
Hey Mike, great video as always. The layout is looking exquisite. I’m sorry that your club is losing another member, but at least he was in a position to make a conscience choice regarding his own care. I’m sorry to everyone at the club for their loss of a member. Yeah I’ve noticed those ATFRPO cars. Those are the only ones I’ve seen it have screws like that?????. other than everything I stated I wish you and your wife well and I hope everything keeps going well at the club and I look forward to your next video. Thank you for making great and fun videos to watch and I’ll keep watching.
I am a bit late to the party on this but an excellent video and I will save this one for sure on fixing the EL capitan set too. Love the trees too . Next step is ground cover (wink)..keep well and never stop learning ..ps ( can't wait for the mustang update) thank you as always
@N-Scale yes, my club is have the same thing happening too. We have several out on due to health problems so we have put them on inactivity list. We have many move that have passed but we still list them as a tribute to them.
Hi Mike , sorry to hear about your friend and follow modeler. I think the trees 🌲 look great. Thanks for the hint on the cars. Yes I have learned you have to keep digging into the problems you encounter. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. 😎😎 👍
Hopefully your club member can enjoy his time and relax. Also N scale rolling stock can be tricky. It can be weight , wheels , gauge on wheels. Plastic and etc. I have been wrestling with sound cars in N scale and figuring out minor problems to run correctly.
Thanks for this video Mike , I melted some axles in the past on KATO turnouts that were not aligned the proper way , by the time the breaker tripped it was too late 😢 The worst were locomotive axles , they are not still available like a KATO passengers cars .... Sorry you lost your friend , we are at an age that our beloved friends are disapearing one by one around us , it's tough ....😢😢😢
Hey Mike, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. My condolences to him and his family. I wish him good health. I know what you mean about plugging along until you figure out problems. The addition of all those trees makes a huge impact on the appearance of the landscape. Everything is looking great and I hope you figure out what the issue is with the lights. Until next time, have a good one.
Mike , sure sorry to hear about your friend . I've lost a few good Ham Radio friends the last couple of years . As you know Prayer can help . You sure have a bunch of trees . WOW .
Mike Most aspen groves are actually single clones of the original tree. You will notice that all of the trees turn colors at the same time in the Fall. Therefore it would be prototypical to plant them in a dense clump.
Sorry To Hear That Hearing About a Model Railroader Passing I know How That is.if My Closest Friend Goes I Am Going to Cover My Layouts With A Black Cloth And Will Not Look or Touch my Layout Till I Stop My Grieving for him.
Passenger cars can be a pain, my most expensive passenger cars from walthers have given me more problems than my riverrosse or IHC cars. The higher the quality the more finicky they become. Sorry about your friend and fellow modeled.
Enjoyed this vid Mike. I'm with ya on life changes, enjoyed the train run, your tree work, and tips for fixing derailment issues 👍👌💪

Mike, I have routinely found that Kato passenger cars are light per NMRA weight standards. Nice update. Sorry to hear about your friend....John
Thanks John , Mike

Nice video Mike, and sorry to hear about your friend .

I have had brake shoes doing this on my rolling stock.
I had never seen it before. I guess we learn every day
Con Cor passenger cars have issues like that with radius less than 16" to 15"... body and tucks interfere with each other.
🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
when using screw mounted truck, I have often loosened the screw.
I never dreamed kato would do that
