1:30 I always loved the bassline with vocals, it added to the song. But in the instrumental hearing it this crisp makes this piece 110% industrial, and my favorite.
Again, this reminds me of the legendary Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom - one of my favorite games of all time. It's so unique and the music was equally *OUT THERE*.
I thought I was the only who thought this. I feel like the composers for Circle of Doom were influenced by NIN. South Koreans make really good industrial metal it really shows in the games boss fights especially Loki.
I know when it comes to game soundtracks, Trent is associated with the Quake soundtrack and a Call of Duty game or two, but this instrumental of Reptile actually conjures up images of Dead Space for me. The bleak industrial machinery sounds. Sounds sinister, cold, and evil. Sounds angry and dangerous. Reminds me of the Ishimura ("That's the *USG* Ishimura!") and the horrors that lie within.
The industrial sounds in this track absolutely, 100% fit the Strogg from Quake 4. What would I give to have a Quake 5 with an OST that sounds like this But I agree, Dead Space fits too. Dead Space, Quake and Doom 3 are such awesome games.
I just addressed the Web page ... and got Server Not Found. Looks like the site is gone ... :( Was hoping to use some of the music for my Spinning / indoor cycling classes.

What is that sound of?
Still fresh after almost 30 years.
what a hateful machine, I love it
A hateful machine, yes. But a pretty hate machine.
listen, i love Trent, I really do, but I love the instrumentals at 2:30, I have to hear it on its own
4:47 that Alien-Whale whatever sound
It sounds like a giant evil robot or mech for a final boss.
I love this without the vocals
It’s odd to me when his vocals are on mute how crunchy the guitars really sound

Ha this reminds me Fel Reavers in World of Warcraft Burning Crusade.

The Terminator listens to this.
The gong/breakdown sound effect always sounded like a trumpeting elephant to me only distorted. Like a army of Hellish elephantine demons on the move.
its like some Silent Hill shit
This would fit Quake 1 so well.
I’m guessing you guys know NIN did the Quake soundtrack?
who doesn't know that by now
More like the Quake 4 Sound Track Quake 1 is better off with its original soundtrack
I'm thinking of a Boss battle theme.
@@NothingAiring It is literally the Quake 4 menu theme. All the hateful machine sounds fit the Strogg very well
Reminds me of the Mech parts on FEAR.
I close my eyes and never look away. That is the first thing that came into my mine.
She leaves a trail of honey, to show me where she's been.
Seeds from a thousand others drip down from within.
@@cruddnow so like all those dudes cream still in her?
@@trentbateman Yeah but it's dripping out too so not for long.
This at 1.5 speed sounds like some dark metalcore shit.
That's genius, I usually don't toggle playback speed but this does sound awesome when sped up
Looks like Korn damn
1.5x gives me anxiety 😂
U faked my whole misery
I didn't know that he put up the mix parts from the Downward Spiral up. I was looking all over hell for those.
@ScuzzChick My pleasure. They have lots of instrumentals on the remix site. ALL of the Downward Spiral... and Year Zero.
