Thanks so much for the shout out, Sarah! Copper Float absolutely needs a solid cone 6 natural cool. My last CF firing had an 8 minute hold as well....but ya, need a white stoneware for it. So sorry about all the dripping in this firing. Such a bummer. Last thing we need right now is more work!😊
Such a cool glaze, I can see why you love it. I have lots of combos in mind. It definitely surprised me the chunky crystal nature of it. I can see why it works so consistently now.
I feel like it took me a year before I started to get the hang of it. In the beginning I took a lot of notes too. Plus, I highly recommend language lessons. Keeps your brain sharp:) But I did mess up a few this time around. That Ginger is deceptive on the buff clay!
Thanks for the mention Sarah ❤. Sorry about all the drips, pretty colors and drips though. You could also use a Jungle gem as a bisque refire also. That could be pretty. I’ve been meaning to try the back walnut/green tea combo. I love when it gets metallic.
Thanks for the idea! I only have one container of jungle jems, but I might try it. I was thinking about using up my pink-a-dot it seems to burn completely out at cone 6, so maybe it will do something at 04.
Hi Sarah, you have experimented with so many glaze combos it makes me dizzy even thinking about it and yet you even remember most of their names! Of course there's gonna be some runners and unexpected colours, overall you have discovered tons of beautiful, stunning combos though! I love all the metallic ones you got, so amazing
😮 how do you not get thermal shock breakages with opening the kiln so hot? I’m always so careful to wait, and Not patiently, for the temp to come down near 100. Thanks for sharing. I’m really enjoying the clay reviews.
I try to always find glazes that are a good fit for the clay, so that they can stand a quicker cool. I'd rather know if a glaze is a poor fit right away, rather than when a customer pours a hot liquid in it. Oh and glad to hear the clay reviews are useful, I had a few more to do, but wasn't sure if anyone was actually getting anything out of them.
Oh sorry Sarah! Man that is not what you can use now! I was just trimming while watching you, and that did not work out so goood. So know you are not alone at not doing so well sometimes 😊
Thanks, I am trying to be more positive about it. There were a lot of great glaze combos, you just hope that the kiln opening is the end point and not a pile of more work!
@ yearbook feel the same sometimes! But love the clay you have! Some great combinations! I finally got my hands on the new spectrum glazes so cannot wait for them to arrive! Right now working on your angels 😇

That toasted marshmallow is gorgeous. 🤩
Thanks, it's one of my halloween combos, but I ran out of time this year to film a video for it.
I’m always amazed how you can remember all your glaze combos without looking at any notes! I have to write everything down

Love seeing your glaze combos, Sarah.
I found Holly Green recently at Sheffield.
Thanks! I like to try at least one new combo per load.
Nice! I am still waiting for mine to come in the mail!

Thanks! Yes, definitely some great new combos. I'll be telling myself that while I'm grinding bottoms today. Thanks for watching!
@threelittlepotters yeah, grinding is not fun and cleaning the shelves

The kiln shelves are overdue for another blasting sesh anyway.
Thanks hon!
