'Pie Jesu' special request by Laura Broad

- This is a special dedication to Steve aka QuasiSane45 and his family. Steve contacted my a few months ago to tell me about the tragic death of his nephew, baby Cameron, some 13 years ago. The loss still deeply affects him and his family. He asked if I could perhaps perform a song in dedication to his brother in memory of little Cameron...
Pie Jesu I'm told is a special song to Steve's brother and it was my pleasure to learn and perform such a beautiful song.

Today is the 18th anniversary of Cameron's birth. A constant reminder of a time when my family counted its blessing after my sister-in-law had experienced a difficult birth only to struggle through in order to give birth to a bouncing baby boy. Six months later Cameron breathed his last as a result of an illness. This song was one I request as a dedication to my brother upon having lost his son. Laura graciously accepted the challenge only to grace us with this perfect rendition. God bless you.
I was honored that she accepted my request to do this video for my brother. Laura is more than a great talent, but a wonderful woman as well. What a voice. My brother cried his eyes out when he heard this as did his wife and daughter. I do believe the video was a success as bittersweet as it is.

Cameron was also my beautiful nephew! 18 years have passed since his going home to God. I thank hm every day for Cam's presence in our lives, even though his time was much to short. Laura, I still listen to this song all of the time and it still brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much from all of my family and we hope you are doing well in your career. Cameron's auntie Sue

Hi PNotP, yes Laura is still singing her heart out. She's married to Brian who is the lead guitarist of their band, COYOTE. They are very successful at what they do cruising the world.

I don't normally comment on RUclips video's, but I feel I have to make an exception. This is the best rendition of Pie Jesu I have ever heard and instantly subscribed a few weeks ago - however I have been back so many times to hear it over and over again.

It's not just the fact that you hit all the notes perfectly but you even have a very very beautiful tone in your voice. And that's not enough you look like a pop star as well even if the Lara croft shirt doesn't suit to this song IMO LOL ....but hey I love everything about you Laura XXX
