I was genuinely terrified of rabbits from childhoods till recently but since lockdown started last year ive been out walking at night where i live and they're everywhere i love seeing them now and am really protective of them

Recently got a Flemish Giant Male, and Continental mix. Both Parents were Award Winner Purebred's.The Mother was the Flemish Giant, the Father was Continental, and a stud leased for the task. The Father was jet black & silver, the Mother, faun like wild yard rabbit. So " PB" for Pretty Boy, the youngest, O! PB! Is alike the Mother, with the Continental stand up ears; but one of PB's won't stay up, a little crook in the ear about 2 inches(I think it may have happened in gestation bunched up together(?! maybe but they're so tiny when born! And pink! I just Love Bunny raising.) and it's his "Signature".But his tail,O his tail! Is O My Goodness! is BIG! and stunning! alike a white tail deer. Sweet and Gentle, Very Playful and smart. 6 months age now. I got him for my brother's companion Pet. My brother is 62 yrs age. Hey!! Just saying that I saw on the thumb nail of the video that the baby’s were on a wire bottom cage? Just making sure they weren’t like that for long bc rabbits don’t have pads on their feet so they can get hurt rlly easily, just trying to help. :)
As long as the rabbits are well bred and the wire is the proper size and in good condition no problems will occur. Most of the information surrounding sore hocks being caused by wire is both uninformed and incorrect.

I wished I could say the same about our FG. He is now 4 months and 3 weeks old and has just 7 pounds. We think we got cheated and he is something else or just a giant mix. He gets the right food and he eats alot but he doesn´t grow fast at all :-( The vet says that he is absolutely healthy. Oh well, lets hope and wait...

We´ve got cheated on the race. However, he is such a sweetheart. We won´t give him ever away. BTW, because we don´t know what race he is, we call him DOODLE 🤣. He is just a funny, gentle, white something.
What do you recomend for cage size? Im getting 2 does to use as breeders. My new zealands are in a 2ft×3ft cage but it doesnt seam right to put the flemish into the same size. Google says it needs to be 4ft×10ft and i know thats not right either!
Flemish giants require an high quality complete 18% protein feed. When growing, they got unlimited pellets. But as adults, they get about 2 cups of pellets a day. Unless they are pregnant or nursing then again it is unlimited
Wasn't hurting her at all. I owned THOUSANDS of rabbits. I knew how to hold them just fine thanks. And yes we did eat them if they didn't sell. And they taste awesome. 😊
Flemish actually are not great meat rabbits as they grow bone faster then meat. You can mix flemish into your Rex lines to help a bit but by themselves they cost more to feed to get to a good meat to bone ratio size.
DEWLAPS are supposed to be there as that's where the momma pulls the fur from for her nest. All healthy mommas have a good dewlap. Not a single one of my rabbits is overweight. Thank you for your concern though.
My daughter wanted a bunny....dad got her one from rural king for 20 bucks....she now has a bunny that could eat my dog....completely unexpected 😆

7 lbs at 4 months sounds about right. Once they hit 12 weeks thier growth slows down alot and they grow till they are about 2 years old.

Rabbits just as intelligent and loving as cats and dogs! People don't sell dogs for meat! That's why I stopped watching rabbit videos.

DEWLAPS are supposed to be there as that's where the momma pulls the fur from for her nest. All healthy mommas have a good dewlap. Not a single one of my rabbits is overweight. Thank you for your concern though.
I think you need to do a little more research and stay off the house rabbit sites this time
