@@Dan-pm4hd uh no that's not how it works, I'm assuming you guys play on PC and over there the playerbase is significantly smaller compared to console, but the people who play apex on the highest levels also play on PC, so it's not that the game thinks you're a God cause you won some matches, its cause there aren't enough players around your skill level at that point in time playing the game so you get matched with players of a higher skill level

I can't play it on my xbox because using a controller feels extremely awkward (bought it and couldn't even play rdr2 because of the controller). The problem with sbmm is that it bumps you up way to fast and it waits way to long before bumping your skill down. Eg, last night I played trios premade and after ~25 bad matches I rage quit a game where we could have done something. We decided to land somewhere quiet, so upon landing I got hit by to fists and a shotgun. That's way to much for me to handle. Don't get me wrong, sbmm is a godsend. Before it I was hovering around 0.2 kdr and 1 win in 800 matches. Now I am on 0.7 and 30 wins for 1.5k matches.

I had the exact same glitch where 90% of the lobby is more or less frozen but everything was normal for me, I think I found about 5 people who seemed to be playing normally. So now I have the 20 kill and 3.5K badges on revenant, I don't wear them though, it wouldn't be right. Kinda sucks since it's overwritten my legit 2.5k badge :( It was kinda funny at first, but it has to be the most hollow victory I've ever had in this game. And just to rub salt in the wound, immediately afterwards I seemed to get put into sweatier pub lobbies than ever, it could be a coincidence, but I feel like SBMM saw '22 kills' and thought "well, looks like he's ready to play with the big boys now"

I tried this, I got 15 kills in my first match, then I got put with the higher ups again. Props to SBMM for recognizing smurfs and putting them back with the sweats.

I feel like after you get your first win its a big improvment because you get this confidence in your aim that you can win and for me that really helps
This was an educational moment for the new players. You dropping 20 kills in a level 1 lobby is giving them a taste of how SBMM will feel like when they reach lvl 200 and are solo queuing agains pre-made pred lobbies.
I think what would be super sick is using this account to help out genuine new players, like in the first game you ran the portal back to them to hold the choke and help them and have port to run if they needed. Like talk to them in pubs and explain what you're doing, that could make for some real nice, wholesome content, and give you an excuse to stomp in pubs ;)

It be funny folks see my level 3 with 25000 damage but like 3 kills(i let em know i smurf and i add em to my lobby after the game) Some do it cause they hate the sweats and just wanna play wit bots. The ones i hate are the dudes who cant win in high ranked lobbies and then make smurfs

That is the epitome of smurfs though. Not saying Kandy has said it, but most smurfs I've seen justify it by saying they don't want to sweat vs predators, but then hard sweat vs lvl 1s lol.
I'm not a new player at all, but I'm also a 50+ grandpa who lacks the sort of neuroplasticity required to develop the game sense, the movement skills, and the quick reflexes to be anything but a low mediocre player. Thanks for encouraging people to not develop smurf accounts. I rely on SBMM to make the game fun for me.
They should add a Ltm called “mix-up mayhem” where you can pick a passive, tactical and ultimate and give them to one character. Also everyone should be changed to a dummy so then everyone has the same hit box. Someone please spread this idea, I would love it if it was in the game.
Not likely, they wouldn't make all the changes to reset back however maybe if there's enough ppl asking for it maybe just maybe in the future, respawn will do it. However it's 99% not likely going to happen.

I remember when my friend was new to the game and I was at his house playing on his account. I’m not great at the game. I’ve never played ranked so I can’t use that system to quantify my skill but I commonly get diamond ranked players in my lobby if that says anything. Even at my level it was completely unfair to everyone else in the lobby. It was so bad that I had to restrict myself from playing aggressively and had to use the wingman, a gun I’m absolutely horrible with and avoid whenever possible, just so I wouldn’t 1v3 every squad I came across. These were level 40s I was playing against. It made me realize that SBMM is definitely necessary for the newer players’ sake at the bare minimum
I'm not doing smurf accounts but on console i'm level 280 with not that many kills and a very bad KD, on Pc I'm new i have not that many kills and an ok KD but on both accounts my lobby is filled with lvl 500, preditors and overall better players than me. Matchmaking needs to improove

dont have to imagine. i play on console and recently tried it on my pc had a few good games but i had level 20 teammates consistently getting 15< kill games; spectated a bangalore under level 5 and they were hitting every wingman shot and r9 spray

I feel like after you get your first win its a big improvment because you get this confidence in your aim that you can win and for me that really helps
This was an educational moment for the new players. You dropping 20 kills in a level 1 lobby is giving them a taste of how SBMM will feel like when they reach lvl 200 and are solo queuing agains pre-made pred lobbies.

Ik everyone’s complaining about having no content but I’ve honestly just enjoyed normal gameplay and climbing up ranks.
I think what would be super sick is using this account to help out genuine new players, like in the first game you ran the portal back to them to hold the choke and help them and have port to run if they needed. Like talk to them in pubs and explain what you're doing, that could make for some real nice, wholesome content, and give you an excuse to stomp in pubs ;)

I was level 351 on Xbox...switched to ps4 and got 4 3K damage badges and got about 15 kills per game... Im sure I made those folks delete the game based on yo logic aint nobody finna quit this game if they get beat in a match in a game that is all about thag

It be funny folks see my level 3 with 25000 damage but like 3 kills(i let em know i smurf and i add em to my lobby after the game) Some do it cause they hate the sweats and just wanna play wit bots. The ones i hate are the dudes who cant win in high ranked lobbies and then make smurfs

I'm not a new player at all, but I'm also a 50+ grandpa who lacks the sort of neuroplasticity required to develop the game sense, the movement skills, and the quick reflexes to be anything but a low mediocre player. Thanks for encouraging people to not develop smurf accounts. I rely on SBMM to make the game fun for me.

They should add a Ltm called “mix-up mayhem” where you can pick a passive, tactical and ultimate and give them to one character. Also everyone should be changed to a dummy so then everyone has the same hit box. Someone please spread this idea, I would love it if it was in the game.

@@seb1532 When most people started out with online FPS games there was no SBMM and they just get stomped on until they get good enough to hold their own most of the time. The drive to get better is what kept me playing anyway.

I remember when my friend was new to the game and I was at his house playing on his account. I’m not great at the game. I’ve never played ranked so I can’t use that system to quantify my skill but I commonly get diamond ranked players in my lobby if that says anything. Even at my level it was completely unfair to everyone else in the lobby. It was so bad that I had to restrict myself from playing aggressively and had to use the wingman, a gun I’m absolutely horrible with and avoid whenever possible, just so I wouldn’t 1v3 every squad I came across. These were level 40s I was playing against. It made me realize that SBMM is definitely necessary for the newer players’ sake at the bare minimum

I'm not doing smurf accounts but on console i'm level 280 with not that many kills and a very bad KD, on Pc I'm new i have not that many kills and an ok KD but on both accounts my lobby is filled with lvl 500, preditors and overall better players than me. Matchmaking needs to improove
Playing against better players is the best way to improve. It's how games have always been up until SBMM existed.
