THANK YOU for your degree of honesty and transparency and openness! I want you to know that you are a godsend and you are a blessing to many. I am 55 years old and it wasn't until the last year of my life that I have come to understand my asexuality. It finally had a name. My teenage years were so much like what you described but I had no name for it. The feeling of why is everyone else so crazy about sex and I am not? I have had sex but it was not until age 23 for my first time. Keep being honest and strong.

This was a great video. Popped up in my recommended videos, and glad I've now found your channel. I'm also a 26 year old recently discovered grey-aro asexual.
I get where you are coming from with regard those teenage years, difference for me was, when growing up, I never even saw girls or thought about girls in any way other than, they're there. Freinds would talk about girls and what they wanted to do send I would go along with it bit not really compared what they were talking about. I always knew I was different, but never really gave it much thought. My hobbies and career take up the majority of my time, and until the pandemic and the lockdown hit in 2020, I find t really confront my single status. The last couple years have been a journey of self discovery.
What I found most depressing through my school life, was that all my (nerdy) freinds seemedike they were like me, but over time we have all parted with them all getting girlfriends. Because of this we have all lost touch with one another, which is a shame.
Relationships are alien to me and the thought of sex and all that goes with it seems of total non importance.
Looking forward to watching the rest of your content.

In my experience, I've met 1 asexual in person and a bunch online who are asexual. EVEN if people aren't asexual on the dating specteum, there are A LOT of people who are willing to give up their sexual life for you. I think of it as a filter almost. If they don't want me for sex, they want me for who I am. :)

i had exact same experiences. One thing that i was always scared during my undergraduate was drinking game. I don't know why everyone is soo curious about other's sex life and when the time comes to me i was just drinking everytime. Thankfully, i am quite strong with alcohol so i didn't have much problem with the game but after the game, my friends just assumed that i have mysterious relationship or so many relationship experiences. Now i am kinda officially out as asexual so i can tell but I still hate those game.. anyways I totally understand and please don't forget there are people who have same experiences and sexuality as you. I have always thought that i wanted to be 'normal'. I didn't want to even admit that i am the 1% of the world. But even i tried to hide it and fake it, the whole result affected my mental health, lifestyle, self-esteem and confidence. Ace will be always here for everyone and make us feel safe and also normal :)) please make more video like this xx

I can relate so much to your teenage/uni years! The feeling of alienation and the need to let every single person you kiss at a party that you won't have sex with them (the feeling of guilt attached to it as well...) So tiring after a while... Well done for your journey, I know it's a lot to go through! x

I'm an asexual person and I get annoyed at the fact that my dad is like I'd want sex later in life. I came out on social media but funny because I don't have a lot of friends yet my cousin supports me, she's awesome. My friends at public school would brag about sex but I wasn't interested in the concept and I don't get sexual feelings to romantic lovers and I tell them I'm asexual in the end, it makes them drift away from me. So that's when I come out haha. You're awesome :3 -sends virtual cake to you-

It's so weird to hear you say that your friends talked so much about sex and their attraction to girls. Me and my friends never really talked about that at all. I think that's why it took me so long to realize I was ace. Also, it turns out we were all gay but in the closet so that might be another reason my group of high school friends was so different. 😝
