We loved doing this, especially with tight space and can be repeated, then close with an Ocho Cortado, then traspie to the side(gives more impetus) then giro to the right of the leader with sacada on the followers side, that can be repeated!!!

This was wonderful. I've been dancing tango for 11 years but I definitely feel like I learned some new tips.

Ever so passionate in your dancing even when teaching! Thank you illuminating the core differences in milonguero and salon tango, especially the lead and how it's felt by the follower.
You guys are such an inspiration!

Nice explanation concerning the differens between Milongero and Saloon style (never heard any clear definition).
The closed side can slide in the Saloon version but fixed in the Milongero version. So if I get it right any contra movment (follower and leader going oposite direction) in this case this is not possible to do in the Milongero style?
    Thank's a lot!

Upper body Contra movement requires open embrace most of the time, so it is more for Salon or Nuevo.
Anyway, in some milonguero’s figures you could use the contra or change of direction moves executed by legs (stepping around the partner) without opening the embrace…
