The girl who called in sick (probably the criminal is holding a gun or a knife and instructed her to do so) she should have pretend to answer a question she wasn’t ask to make her boss be suspicious, like: “the receipt for the 10,000 is in the drawer.....” then thank. And then hang up before the criminal gets suspicious and listen to it. She also had a chance in the store to make eye contact with the store clerk and make sure she know to call the police immediately after they leave,

1989 Kansas. First Joan Butler went missing. Joan’s car and clothes and her purse was missing and her ATM car was active been used. Then Christine went missing and her car was missing too along with another young woman named Theresa ! So three women vanished without a trace and police were on the trail to catch the kidnapper or killer or killers. A man named Richard Grisham came to police attention and as a suspect.

easy to say that...but how could the girls not give up their PIN nor sign chques when they were at the mercy of grissom....the one to blame here is the bank since as the signature of christine of her 4 cheques got more and more degraded to the last cheque it should have aroused the banks suspicion and they should have questioned her and held the cheque back simultaneously calling the police then christine would be alive today...
