So why would ted tell his children that he cheated on Victoria, or was left at the alter , beat up by a goat and broke up with the same person on there birthday twice . Also it’s pretty from scenes that take place while Tracy and ted are together Barney was the stud and wrote the playbook , it’s a loose theory at best

Yeah can agree with that theory. Toxic Ted is so much worse than Bravado Barney.
