Rion can speak good English and pretty expressive. He can do private eating/show tours in Osaka alone and it well worth the effort. Tourists will love his in positive enthusism and learn much more than those group tours. I know I will be one of his first customers if he ever offer that service.

We recently got uber eats in shizuoka, I tried ordering recently but the service was terrible and I didn't receive my food. I didn't realise the wage is so little even in Osaka, I have more empathy for the uber eats drivers now, thank you for your video 😊

The good part of this job is that if you don't like being around people, you don't have to deal with co-workers or a boss. Can you choose your delivery area? If you can limit the delivery area, you probably could make more money. In the US, you would be making about 10% (low end) in tips.

Hi there Rion! Full time Uber Eats from Portugal here. From what i understood this was your first time doing Uber Eats, correct me if i'm wrong. In the beginning i also did the same amount of deliveries that you did but now i have one year of experience doing JUST Uber Eats, nowadays i can do 5-6 deliveries in an hour, i'm not sure how much different i would be in Japan (i'm not familiar with how heavy your traffic is) but here in Portugal that translates to 15 - 20€ (1870.05 - 2493.40 Yen) per hour. I'm not saying this to brag, i'm saying this so people know that like every job, as you get more accustomed to the job you can do it faster and in the case of Uber Eats, doing it faster means more money :)

Uber delivery riders and other company delivery riders are counted as frontliners, they are risking their lives while pandemic is there. I used to be a delivery rider and a restaurant owner in Manila. I know its really hard to be a rider too but to be honest? I enjoyed it! I might apply as an uber delivery rider for full time for more income

What you didn't include in your accounting were your capital expenses (depreciation on your motorbike), marginal expenses like insurance, and risk that you might be involved in an accident. I would guess that would knock off another $0.40 off your net income. I also want to say thank you for showing us so many places around Osaka. When I watch other videos I can recognize where they are filming and impress my wife. :-) Arigato!
Not a good comparison since you did not deduct regular expenses of working for minimum wage jobs such as food also and cost of transportation. But in your Uber job, you deducted them.
Nice video but i think to make a better comparison, you SHOULDN'T deduct the cost of the snack, curry bread, from your earnings - only the gas expense. if you worked for 3 hours at another part-time job, you would STILL need to take a break and eat your snack.

in Greece it is the same. The tari drivers didnot allow the uber, so if you use uber on Greece it will fetch a taxi for you

In Okinawa we give tips to food delivery worker. I think it’s rude for some Japanese workers, they take pride in what they do.

Maybe something changed? Today was my first day as Uber delivery driver and i made 4200 in 4 hours. 13 deliveries on a bike. Abiko station Area.
