About Serana, before you release her from the sarcophagus you have to do that puzzle where you slide the braziers into position to link the purple magic flames. Then when you press the button, a blade comes up and impales your hand. Entirely feasible that it’s enchanted with some kind of charm or enthrall spell that keeps you from killing Serana

    • @lazilycatharticone4191
      @lazilycatharticone4191 2 года назад +105

Interesting. I'd say that the entire puzzle angle could be the entire reason Serana's drawn to you. Think about it, your blood unlocks the puzzle. Its the first thing she tastes when she wakes up (Blood drains down into her sarcophagus). Maybe it was designed so that the first one who encountered Serana had more sway over her. Why else would she come to you specifically after you left the castle? Dragonborn doesn't count, as you might not even be recognized as such at that point.
Lol something to play along with, even of its nonsense.

Well, you're also the first person she sees in who knows how long, and you help her get back to her family, so... maybe she sees you as a reasonable and recognizable face? Later on, as your relationship develops, she admits what she did and asks for your forgiveness.😀

    Theory:
Blackreach extends far beyond Skyrim into Morrowind and Hammerfell and all the lands the Dwemer lived.
That's why the Dwemer were able to spread over such a wide area without influencing Tamrielic history. They constructed their cities underground and built them up to the surface. That would also explain how the Rourkan Clan were able to travel across the continent unmolested by the Elf hating Alessians or Nords. They were literally traveling under their noses. This includes the Dwemer ruins in the Wrothgar Mountains from ESO and might explain why Gortwog gro-Nagorm the King of Orsinium in the 3rd Era held the title Warlord of the Subterranean Realms (hmm another Orc-Dwemer connection?)

Skyrim's colder climate in comparison to Morrowind and High Rock next to it could at least in some part be explained by the fact that the entirety of skyrim's land border with the rest of Tamriel is a wall of high mountains. Those high mountains would shield it from warm southern air but there are very few mountains of considerable note on the northern end of Skyrim shielding from cold air coming from the north out of the Sea of ghosts and even possibly at Atmora. The provinces of High Rock and Morrowind do not have such southern impediments to their climate, therefore they're more likely to be temperate.

Conspiracy: Sotha Sil planned on his death and set up a way to be "revived".
Sotha set up the Mnemonic Planisphere, the memory storage facility where Sotha Sil stored his memories, so he could download all of his memories into a Factotum. Sotha tested this ability by implanting Saints Felms, Llothis, and Olms into powerful factotums. This process will make a copy of Sotha Sil without his divine power. Ysgramor was a Dragon Priest, but Nord bards chose to omit this fact from the historical record. This idea is from the unofficial lore of Kurt Kuhlmann (Co-Lead Designer of Skyrim):
"If Ysgramor was indeed a "dragon", most likely he was a Dragon Priest - in the Late Merethic Era, it would be unlikely for a leader of Ysgramor's reported stature to be unconnected to the Dragon Cult. Those are just motifs that were used by the Ancient Nords. Ancient Nordic pantheon consisted of Shor, Kyne, Mara, Tsun, Stuhn, Dibella, Jhunal and Orkey. Shor is the fox, Kyne is the hawk, Mara is the she-wolf, Dibella is the moth, Jhunal is the owl, Orkey is the snake, Tsun is the bear and Stuhn is the whale. It's just symbolism that existed since the times when Nords were in Atmora. Needless to say, it has nothing to do with the Divines of Imperial pantheon either. Nords worshipped these animal totems representative of their gods and that's why they chose to decorate their tombs with those symbols too.

    Underforge conspiracy followup:
After Lorkhan's death during the Dawn era war, the wandering Ehlnofey had a schism between the followers of Hircine and followers of Kyne. The followers of Kyne are the ones who wanted to bury Hircine's legacy by building the Skyforge over the Underforge to establish themselves as the true followers of Lorkhan.
Later, the wandering Ehlnofey fled from Skyrim with the proto-Nedes going to the Reach with Hircine, and the proto-Nords going to Atmora with Kyne. Meanwhile, the descendants of the victorious Old Ehlnofey, the snow elves, would always fear the Skyforge as man's Dawn Era weapon against the elves, and they will avoid the site even into the Merethic era.

My all-time fave conspiracy; the Night of Tears never happened, or at least not how we think it did.
I admit, all I got to back it up is that I find it simply too convenient that the ONLY supposed survivors of an entire city of what we can imagine are tough-as-nails Atmorans, are the leader himself and his two sons?
To me that seems more likely that there was a minor skirmish between the Sarthaalians and Falmer which Ysgramor then used as an excuse to go back to Atmora and eliminate his competition while framing it as justified.
Or, maybe just a bit more sinister, the circumstances were reversed; Ysgramor and the Atmorans attacked the Falmer (maybe for the Eye of Magnus, maybe just for land gains), were defeated, and thus Ysgramor and his sons went back to summon more troops for a rematch. The rest is just victor's history; once the Snow Prince was dead and the Falmer retreated, the Atmorans were free to rewrite events as they saw fit. They could even have lessened the numbers of returning Atmorans to Five Hundred rather than a more realistic number to glorify their Return all the more.
Tl;dr: Ysgramor's Return seems fishy, and he either ran like a coward or was the defeated aggressor and buried the truth after his victory.

Conspiracy: Every Daedra was an Aedra of a former Kalpa.
Furthermore, the Principle Aedra changes each time. In the previous Kalpa, Molag Baal was in the role of Ruling Deity and Mehrunes Dagon was the World Eater that destroyed it. Auri-El then got drawn into the next Kalpa, finding out that Lorkhan now rules this Kalpa with his minions the Nords, who he has trained in previous Kalpas. The elves from Aldmeri, an even older Kalpa, try and delay Lorkhan's domination by tearing out his heart, thus facilitating the Merethic Era. Auri-El took the form Alduin to destroy Atmora, the Kalpa where Nords originally ruled, he is now a separate entity and Auri-El sends him to dominate men as he previously had, along with the remaining dragons of the Kalpa following Atmora. Lorkhan and Kyne teach them the Shouts (dragon language) which allow them to free themselves.
The Alessians Order then reinvent Akatosh as being Lorkhan secretly Mantling Alduin/Auri-El, thus becoming the unopposed ruling Deity of Tamriel. This is why the Amulet of Kings, which is made from Lorkhan's blood, can confer the powers of a dragon and also ban unwanted deities from Nirn (those now classed as Daedra).
The elves hated this, as they were now trapped as 2nd class citizens in Nirn. Thus they formed a pact with Jyggalag, once he was freed by the Hero of Kvatch, they hope that HE will be the new World Eater, just as Mehrunes Dagon was in the last Kalpa. The Thalmor are secret worshippers of Jyggalag, who may well have been an Elven deity in a previous Kalpa.

Isn't this like half confirmed? I have a vague memory that the various original spirits exist throughout the different kalpas but might take up different roles. I think the example used was that in a future Kalpa Peryite could end up playing the role of one of the Aedra (I think it was Lorkhan or Auri-El).
Though I'm pretty sure if I am remembering that right it was probably a fan theory or some technically non-canon Kirkbride writings, so I suppose that isn't the same as confirmed.

The Thalmor Ambassador Elenwen is secretly working against the Thalmor, either with others or on her own. Because at the beginning of the game she has a direct line of sight of you so there's no way she shouldn't have recognised you when you turn up at the Thalmor Embassy in Diplomatic Immunity quest. I always get the feeling she was about to ask you something important when she was interrupted by Malborn. Also when asked about what the Thalmor so in Skyrim she is not as fanatical. She says:
"One of my main duties is to foster a better understanding between the Aldmeri Dominion and the people of Skyrim. I also oversee the activities of the Thalmor Justiciars throughout Skyrim, although this has been unfortunately disrupted by the war."
"The Thalmor Justiciars are so often misunderstood. Our primary goal is to preserve the peace between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion. The worship of the false god Talos contributed to the unfortunate friction that led to the Great War. Following the Great War, the White-Gold Concordat set out the terms for peaceful coexistence between the two powers. The Empire and the Dominion agreed that the worship of Talos was a relic of the past, and must be eliminated in the interests of peace. But I'm sure you didn't come here for a lecture on high politics."
Some of what she said could have been to appease the other Thalmor there, but I get a sense that she finds the hatred between elves and humans distasteful and wants something different probably for her own people. Because it is possible that some Altmer want the Thalmor gone.

I mentioned this back on the Daedric Princes episode (I think) but here's a conspiracy theory:
Peryite was created from the remnants of Lorkhan.
I will openly acknowledge there is basically nothing to back this up, outside of his sphere of "natural order," and the passing reference of Haskill (I believe, probably wrong) to him having "earned his place." The beliefs expounded by the Mythic Dawn (Tamriel being Lorkhan's Daedric Realm) could further add credence to this, insofar as having witnessed the betrayal of Lorkhan by the Aedra, Boethiah could have taken what remained of her beloved and attempted to refashion him, and Peryite was the result. He loves Nirn and sees to the minutia of Natural Law to preserve his creation, but in a diminished capacity. This could be why after the destruction of the Heart in Red Mountain by the Nerevarine, Tamriel isn't unmade, despite Lorkhan's Heart's proclamation that ""This Heart is the heart of the world, for one was made to satisfy the other." One could go on to say that rather than the Dragon God of Time (Akatosh), it was Peryite the Dragon God of Natural Law that appeared to Alessia and she mistook him, or perhaps she was later misinterpreted.
This is all just in good fun and I would love to hear your interpretations and (more than likely) you blasting gaping holes in it. Love the podcast fellas, keep up the good work and thanks for helping keep me supplied with copium until TES 6 comes out in another decade haha.

The first Dwemer were Velothi mages/miners who found the Heart of Lorkhan and when they touched/interfered with the Heart they were transported to the time just after the Heart created Red Mountain. They then were compelled to find the heart and interfere with it again and again. Through countless cycles of this the Dwemer advanced scientifically and philosophically. That is why surviving Dwemer texts are unreadable, because their history is in a constant state of being rewritten.
However there is now a certain set of events that have to happen as The Battle of Red Mountain is a Dragon Break and is made a set point in time. Dumac Dwarfking and Kagrenac have to born, Kagrenac has to forge his tools, Dumac has to forge a friendship with Indoril Nerevar to lead to his betrayal and death and the creation of the false Tribune.
But that could explain that as the game series has gone on Dwarven architecture and Dwarven technology has changed and even advanced.

    Conspiracy:
Both the High Elves and the Maormer are wrong/lying about the founding of Pyandonea. In reality, the island was populated by the surviving crew of the Pasquiniel.
The Pasquiniel was one of the 3 ships launched when Topal the Pilot started his exploration mission. It sailed directly South from the Summerset Isles, and never returned. Topal’s ship was the Niben, which sailed North-East and landed on Tamriel. There was also an unnamed ship (whose mention is cut out of the fragment which names the other ships), sailing North-West. The unnamed ship also did not return to the Isles. It is assumed by most that the pair of ships which never returned were lost at sea or killed by the Maormer and Sload/Redguards respectively.
The theory I would like to put forward is that not only did the Pasquiniel make it to Pyandonea and lead to the founding of the Maormer race, but the crew of the unnamed ship ALSO survived and founded the Left-Handed Elves.
From the Father of the Niben: "These are the "waystones" of the fragment, which each of the pilots used to point their craft in the direction they were assigned to go. A ship with a name not mentioned in the fragment took his vessel north-west, towards Thras and Yokuda. The Pasquiniel took the southern waystone, and must have sailed down toward Pyandonea. Topal and his north-east waystone found the mainland of Tamriel."
So, firstly, the ONLY major landmass we are aware of that lies to the direct South of the Summerset Isles is Pyandonea. While the argument could be made that the ship was either turned away or sunk by the native water spirits, there is no denying that they would have at least been the first elves to encounter the land in some capacity. Additionally, another quote from Father of the Niben gives us a glimpse of the incredible sailing prowess Topal’s own crew displayed:
“For sixty-six days and nights, he sailed, over crashing
Waves of dire intent, past whirlpools, through
Mist that burned like fire, until he reached the
Mouth of a great bay and he landed on a
    Sun-kissed meadow of gentle dells.”
Later in the same book, Topal and his crew fight off various attackers, including Topal himself one-shotting a giant flying lizard-like beast that is commonly believed to be a predecessor to Morrowind’s Cliffracers. Assuming the other 2 ships were manned by an equally competent crew, I would say that it is much more likely that they survived the encounters and established themselves on Pyandonea.
Secondly, we have the accounts of both sides and their contradictions. According to the High Elves, the Maormer are the descendants of a failed rebellion that occurred back in Aldmeris. They are not recorded as attacking the Summerset Isles until the First Era, but once they were first encountered, their attempts to return to the Isles were continuous up until the Third Era. According to the Maormer themselves, they are simply trying to return to their rightful home, which they have always maintained to be the Isles.
The High Elves’ assertion that the Maormer are lying, while considered fact by many, has always seemed to me like obvious propaganda. The book which makes the chronologically original assertion is The False Revanchism of the Maormer, which can be found in the Summerset Isles themselves in ESO. The text is filled with unapologetic bias, and states that “This welcome revelation comes from previously untranslated Aldmeri tapestries within the Crystal Tower,” which is more than a touch too convenient to be convincing. The long-held beliefs that both sides have held for centuries that make your side seem like the baddies are suddenly ‘disproven’ by brand new translations of ancient tapestries that only you have access to? And they’re being propagated by someone already overtly racist towards the group it’s attacking? Even if that isn’t suspicious enough, the High Elves are already quite well known for outright lying about their role historical events, even as they’re happening (such as taking credit for ending the Oblivion Crisis, or claiming to have brought back the moons to help the Khajiit). Not to say that the Maormer are innocent in all of this, but it’s pretty clear that the ‘evidence’ of their convenient new history is fishy at best (no pun intended).
While I don’t believe Orgnum is some kind of corrupted form of Illio (the original captain of the Pasquiniel), I do believe he is another member of the crew, potentially a more powerful one, who took over the expedition after Illio was killed.I also think it’s fairly obvious that the Maormer’s claim that they are “more pure” than the High Elves is false, and that there was some kind of corruption to both their magic and their physiology. My guess would be that the native water spirits of Pyandonea did have some form of corrupting effect on the elves over time, or maybe even a symbiotic one. By binding themselves with the water spirits in some form, they would gain control over both the magical mists surrounding the land and the beasts that inhabit it. Perhaps this was the only way they were able to survive the harsh environment, or (more likely in my opinion) once Orgnum took over, his ambition and greed led to him simply seeking power wherever he could find it. This would follow with his personality quite well, as at one point he even created an enchanted chest to grant himself limitless riches.
Now we have the other part of my assertion, which is that the Left-Handed Elves were the descendants of the crew of the unnamed ship. The overall lack of information on the Left-Handed Elves makes this part a little shakier, but I’m hoping to get some confirmation either for or against it in ES6.
When the unnamed ship sailed North-West, the land they would be most likely to reach would be Yokuda. They theoretically could have been blown towards Thras and been killed by the Sload, but we have no real reason to assume this is the case. So assuming they made it to Yokuda, they certainly would have encountered the Yokudans at some point. The only Mer race the Yokudans mention having encountered in their homeland, in any capacity, is the Sinistral/Left-Handed Elves. The currently accepted origin of the Left-Handed Elves is that they came from the same Kalpa as the Yokudans themselves, but I can’t find any evidence to actually back this up. The few mentions we have of this race tell us that they were virtually wiped out by the Yokudans and that the Orichalc Tower which these Elves created was deactivated by the Yokudans when they sank Yokuda itself. We also know that their interactions with the Left-Handed Elves led to the Yokudans hating all Elves even before they came to Tamriel. There are even a few (albeit vague) mentions of the Left-Handed Elves sailing in the Sea of Pearls, giving the idea slightly more credence. If they did land on Yokuda, it is likely that they would have created a Tower in the image of the Crystal Tower of their homeland, and Orichalcum seems likely to have been the best material available to them. If they had simply come through from another Kalpa, there’s no reason to assume they would build Towers at all, unless it’s just a major coincidence spanning multiple creations.
    So TL;DR:
    - The Pasquieniel sailed South and undoubtedly found Pyandonea, as their crew was more than capable of making it to land and establishing themselves there
    - The High Elves' belief that the Maomer are lying is based entirely on overt propaganda
    - “King” Ognum was originally one of Illio’s underlings who took over after Illio was killed and let his ambition corrupt him
    - The unnamed ship sailed towards Yokuda and established themselves there, even creating a Tower, which wouldn’t make sense for an Elvish race from another Kalpa but does if it’s another part of Topal’s expedition
    - The Left-Handed Elves were the only Elves mentioned existing in Yokuda at all, meaning that the only logical answer beyond “the extremely competent sailors sank” is that the crew of the unnamed ship eventually became them

    I have two separate theories:
    1. Olaf One-eye caused a dragon break.
For whatever reason, perhaps the intensity of the shouting-match between Olaf and Numinex, the dragon broke. The different branching realities are represented in the existing legend and the dialogue options for reconstructing Svaknir’s telling of the tale.
The reason I believe that all these realities are true is because it seems like none of them is the exact truth. They all have grounds to be believed, and a dragon break could explain why Viarmo (and presumably everyone else in Skyrim) doesn’t know the connexion between Olaf One-eye and Olaf the false king.
Furthermore, it could explain why Olaf’s corpse, encountered as a draugr, seems to still possess Olaf’s spirit, addressing Svaknir and his deeds directly, BUT Olaf’s spirit is also among the deceased heroes of Sovngarde, regardless of whether the player releases Olaf’s spirit from the draugr.
The entire situation feels very similar to the sequence (or perhaps stewpot) of events that surround the Battle of Red Mountain. Just as it is simultaneously historical truth that the Tribunal did and didn’t kill Nerevar, so too Olaf One-eye was simultaneously a great hero and a nefarious trickster.
    2. The Void Nights were ended by forgotten Khajiit.
The Thalmor have a history of claiming credit for things they didn’t do (eg. ending the Oblivion Crisis), so it’s fairly safe to assume that they didn’t actually return Masser and Secunda to the heavens.
When I was reading the Words of Clan-mother Ahnissi, I came across the passage, “And Fadomai said, ‘The Khajiit must be the best climbers, for if Masser and Secunda fail, they must climb Khenarthi's breath to set the moons back in their courses.’ “ This is SUCH a specific occurrence. How many other times have the moons failed? I don’t think the placement of the passage is coincidental, but rather prophetical.
Kenarthi’s Breath could be the Throat of the World. Besides being the highest point on Tamriel, it’s where Kyne (aka Kenarthi) breathed life into the Nords. So perhaps a Khajiit (or several) climbed the mountain and somehow used it to ascend the Lunar Lattice - which is mentioned in Khajiiti myth to have been climbed before, though it wasn’t intended to be climbed.
From there, the Khajiit did something to bring the moons back. Perhaps the Serpent ate them, and they slit the moons from the constellation’s belly. Maybe they stole them back from a Daedric prince who had kidnapped them. But whatever they did, they didn’t come back, allowing the Thalmor to take credit.

I've heard a theory that the Ice tribe and Gehenoth from Travels: Dawnstar are the Kamal. With Akavir having obvious Eastern inspiration, the Kamal could be like Oni who are mountain dwelling ogres/demons from Japan. The Ice tribe and Gehenoth have a similar appearance to Oni depictions so they could be remnants from the Kamal's invasion of Skyrim. The Gehenoth looks very alien compared to other creatures living in Skyrim. They could serve a similar purpose to the Dawnguard's trolls. Maybe it's colder in Skyrim so their thawing cycle works differently than on Akavir. I wish the Ice tribe were explored in Skyrim, it would've added to Dawnstar.

Hey guys, gotta juicy conspiracy theory for you but not sure if this is where you read them...
well I think Baurus the Redguard Blades who helps you in the beginning of Oblivion was actually working for the Mythic Dawn! The evidence for this is that Uriel and his sons died under his watch, somehow the Mythic Dawn knew about the secret underground passage which Uriel and the Blades ended up using, was against you the Hero/prisoner going with them, threatens and attempts to kill you in two instances, he freaks out when the amulet is missing from Uriel's body (which Mankar Cameron needs), intently questions why the Emperor told you to go to Jauffre (to glean information) and when the Hero of Kvatch goes to Weynon Priory where Jauffre is, you are conveniently attacked by the Mythic Dawn when only yourself and Baurus knew you'd be going there and most importantly the key Baurus gives you ("Baurus's Key") actually unlocks the locked gate in the passage (leading to safety) which he previously says they couldn't get through and have to use the other passage where Uriel is killed! Baurus is a member of the Mythic Dawn confirmed!

I made my own comment about the time wound at the top of the Throat of the World being the Stone
But your comment randomly gave me another idea: what if the Nords themselves are the Stone? It would be like a 1000 IQ play by Shor, he makes a Tower with the same purpose as Adamantia in holding his creation in place, and it's Stone is a people who will die fighting for this creation, and not until the very last Nord is dead does the Tower deactivate
The Nords being the Stone also aligns a bit with their creation story, since they were breathed by Kyne on to the Throat of the World, which would be when the Tower would be functional

Conspiracy: Psijic Order is responsible for fall of the Snow Elves and Dwemer.
When the migrating Atmorans settled Sarthaal and discovered the Eye of Magnus, it wasn't fully understood, but was recognized to potentially be a source of great power. Though interested and curious, the Snow Elves weren't initially willing to draw blood over obtaining the unknown artifact.
The Order approached the Atmorans with intention to purchase or barter for the Eye. All of their attempts failed, as the Atmorans were distrustful of magic users, especially foreign ones. Growing frustrated and fearfull of potential effects of the Eye, The Order turned to the Atmoran's uneasy allies; the Snow Elves. They made an accord with the Snow Elves, presenting the problem to the elves as though the Eye would empower and corrupt the Atmorans, leading to an inevitable conflict between the 2 factions that would undoubtedly lead to an Atmoran victory. The Order offered to covertly help with the attack on Sarthaal to drive the Atmorans away, and in exchange the Snow Elves would allow the Order to take the Eye away for further study. The Elves accepted the offer, never having been too fond of the Atmorans, not to mention the envy of their newfound power.
The Night of Tears proceeded as mercilessly as lore describes. The Snow Elves, assisted by a few members of the order, slaughtered the Atmorans at Sarthaal. However, upon reaching the Eye, the Snow Elves reneged on their deal with the Order. Not willing to forfeit this spoil of war, and perhaps greedy with the promise of power from the Eye, the Snow Elf leader ordered the Psijic Order members to leave or die. When the most junior of the Order members attempted to use offensive magic, he was killed for his trouble; The remaining order members fled.
During their escape from Sarthaal, the Order came across 3 cornered and outnumbered Atmorans. With some assistance from the Order, the 3 Atmorans slew their attackers and escaped undetected from the city. Seeing some potential, the Order made an offer to the lead Atmoran; The order would help the Atmorans to become even more powerful Tongues and assist in their revenge, and in exchange the Atmorans would agree to seal away the eye until such time that the Order was able to study it. The in their grief and despite these unlikely allies, the Atmorans emphatically agreed. The order then accompanied Ysgramor and his 2 sons back to Atmora to begin to assemble the Companions.
The 500 were as devastating as their reputation. With the Psijic Order's secret knowledge augmenting the already formidable power of the voice, the 500 quickly took back Sarthaal. Not as allured by magical artifacts as an elven race might be, and with the Eye of Magnus becoming a dark symbol representing the Night of Tears, Ysgramor and his Companions upheld the deal and assisted the Order to seal away the Eye from the Snow Elves, Until such a time the Order could safely retrieve it.
To their dismay, the Order saw that the time the Snow Elves had with the Eye had already made them more powerful, but also more corrupt. With the companion's thirst for revenge hardly sated, and the newly corrupted Elves starting to retaliate, not to mention the betrayal they had faced at their hands, the Order saw little reason to step in on behalf of the Snow Elves as the Companions swept through them with their augmented power of the voice. It seemed that sealing away the Eye had caused the Elves new power to wane, but the corruption was starting to fester. Not quite as corrupted as the cave dwellers in modern Skyrim, but definitely deteriorated from the once proud elven race, the Order went to the Dwemer for a potential solution to stop or slow the corruption. With the Atmorans not at all sympathetic, the Dwemer readily accepted the Snow Elves into their underground sanctums in order to spare the race. They required, however, that all surviving Elves take the fungi that the Order and the Dwemer co-opted in making. It seemed to slow or even to completely stop the corruption process, but it had the tragic side effect of causing blindness.
While coexisting for a while, tensions still broke out due to the Dwemer's ill treatment of the Falmer. Little more than slave labor, the Falmer rebelled against their 'saviors'. Dwemer requested the Order help them deal with the rebellion. It would be their 2nd joint project with the dwemer scientists, so at first the Order was happy to help; possibly do some more research on the original potion that blinded the falmer in order to reduce their savagery. But then the Order made a terrible discovery during the meeting with the Dwemer. In the context of finding etherium, one Dwemer let slip that they were working on a protoype device that allowed them to locate large sources of power. The Order warned that the Falmer found one such source, and it led to their ruin. The Dwemer arrogantly scoffed, claiming of course inferior races would be seduced into corrupting power.
The Order was left with little choice; once the Dwemer unsealed the Eye of Magnus and integrated its power into their constructs, the results would catastrophic. The Order currently had no way to move or access the Eye after it was sealed.. Perhaps now the Psijic Order would have to lead their other joint research project astray...
With the Dwemer problem regretfully....'solved'....the Order could leave the Eye sealed. Until the Dragonborn came and unkowingly accessed the Eye. Perhaps now the Order let events play out until they could finally obtain the Eye.

Conspiracy: Lately I've been researching the aylied elves and the theory I've come up with is about that after the alessian rebellion, surviving aylieds went to summerset and assimilated into their society and politics and that they may still be around pulling the strings from behind the scenes, and I think it's very possible and here's why I think that, to my knowledge no other elves hate the humans or the empire than the aylieds (you can argue that high elves do but aylieds hate them a lot more and have enslaved humans in the past as well as the alessian rebellion did cause their fall), I personally think it's possible the aylieds even founded the thalmor and were behind the great war as well as the white gold concordact, the aylieds were obsessed with the number 8, before talos there was only 8 divines which they worshipped as well as the humans did too, then talos came along and became the 9th, and now during the events of Skyrim after the great war, talos is banned and it's back to 8, the aylieds have the most motive to go against the empire and to keep the divine as 8 and not allow a human to be a 9th divine, I also believe the aylieds could even be behind the entire elven supremacy movement in summerset, they did enslave humans after all before they fell. Obviously none of this is confirmed but it's my speculation that I'm still researching on to try to find evidence for, but I would love to hear your thoughts on it 🖤

It kinda makes sense that Ayleid descendants would be part the anti-monarch Thalmor. The traditional Altmer nobles probably have a better lineage than those with an Ayleids "taint", and it kept those with Ayleid blood out of the highest positions on Summerset. However, after the Thalmor coup, the ranking Thalmor members can redefine their bloodline into anything they want.

One note about the "House Dwemer" discussion and whether or not that was just an honourary or Chimer-relative title, Sermon Ten of the 36 lessons does have a brief line saying "Divide ye like your enemies, in Houses [...]". While the enemies in question aren't specified, and the sermons aren't exactly the most reliable text to take literally, it does seem to imply that the House structure could have been originally a Dwemeri concept, rather than one applied to them by the Chimer retroactively. Doesn't necessarily imply anything about the two races, but an interesting line for sure.

Conspiracy: Versidue Shaie made Black Rose Prison to locate something taken or stolen from Akavir, the prison is just a cover or byproduct.
Joined theory- Two possible Akaviri migrations to Black Marsh took place. The so called nedic tribes of black marsh seem rather different to other nedes found elsewhere, particularly the Kothringi with shimmery silver skin. This could easily be, or be an early breakaway expression of the Tsaesci's(humans in this sense) serpent like scaled appearance the race came to be known as.
The other migration is the Lilmothiit who could easily be the latter in the following- 'Akaviri people with rat-like features, and others who are canine in appearance' from the Pocket Guide to the Empire, 3rd Edition/Other Lands.
The fact one of the first things Versidue Shaie did once he had power was construct the Black Rose Prison which has ties to both the Lilmothiit and the Yespest tribe leads me to wondering if he was looking for something that had been taken from Akavir and hidden. The fact the Empires strongest battle mage was sent out for mere construction work does seem suspicious if nothing else.

Conspiracy 1 > The races of the world have these origins...
    Children of Auriel
Aldmer line > Altmer, Aylied, Maormer, Falmer & Orsimer.
    Children of Yffre
Left Hand Elves > Dwemer, Bosmer, Chimer (Dunmer).
    Children of Kyne
    Atmoran > Nord, Skaal
    Children of Lorkhan
Yokudan > Redguard, Nedic/Imperial, Akiviri men, Breton (mostly)
The original races were created in the merethic era, and championed by different gods.
The beastfolk are the children Nirni, sometimes with manipulation from other forces (Azura, Hist).

I missed the post about these theories, but I've got one that I don't think I've seen.
I saw a map of Nirn, which had connected Kamal to Atmora. This got me thinking. What if the event that caused Atmora to become uninhabitable was an Invasion of Kamal Ice Demons?
There's not much to it, admittedly. However, I think it's plausible.

    Theory:
I have a theory I believe of note that could change a lot but add some context that actually makes some sense of missing pieces. Why Alduin saved the DragonBorn and how coincidental his timing to save them.
When you kill the kill the first dragon, in Whiterun, the dragon Mirmulnir (probably butchered the name) that attacks the Western Watchtower, if you have subtitles on, you will see the final words of the dragon before it is killed, is simply,“No! Dovahkiin!“ I don‘t believe this is a yell of surprise from the dragon, but a statement.
I think Alduin saved the DragonBorn on purpose, and Mirmulnir knew this, and so was frustrated and vocalised this in his dying words.
There has always been Dragon Priests while dragons ruled, humans who served under the dragons to govern and command for them. What if this was going to be the job of the DragonBorn, Konharriik was always going to be the Dragonborn‘s mask, for when he took his place on the throne of mankind, to rule and govern for the dragons, to replace the Dragon priests but still to serve the dragons. A warlord who could directly speak and converse with the dragons, who would not be able to be overthrown by the average human and elf.
A Dovah in a humanoid form, a being inbetween dragons and mortals. One to govern for the dragons where the Dragon Priests were shown to be too weak, some even betraying them, only Naakhriin showing up to support the dragons.
This would also explain the purpose of Konhariik, lorewise.

Maybe not a conspiracy theory but I think as the dragonborn's duty to side with the Stormcloaks and then go on to unite the rest of the provinces against the Aldmeri Dominion.
Or alternatively I think that if you side with the Empire it is your duty to take the throne and sire a new line of DragonBorn emperors to oppose the Dominion because as the DragonBorn you can almost single-handedly turn the tide of war to whichever side you choose.

On that second theory and the Stone of the Snow Tower
I think it makes more sense for the Stone to be the time wound, the description of a cave may be allegorical and might be taken to mean an entrance or simply a hole, both of which match the time wound
The time wound by virtue of being a flaw in Akatosh's natural flow of time can be said to exist at all moments in time, even prior to it's creation, similar to Talos and the Tribunal in a way, and thus it would exist and serve as the Stone even in the Dawn or through the Merethic

Not sure if this is a conspiracy or hot take, but here goes: Ysgramor killed everyone in Saarthal & blamed it on the elves. Not only that, but as with any story written by the victors, everything they say that happened after that is also a lie. Bonus theory: The snow elves moved to atmora since they might be able to handle the cold better than the nords & they essentially just switch locations.

    • @badluck5647
      @badluck5647 2 года назад

The first part is possible as Ysgramor is the first human historian. Also, it does seem "convenient" that only Ysgramor and his sons survived.
The second theory seems unlikely as there were more human warriors in Atmora than Skyrim at the time of the falmer war. Also, if escape to Atmora was possible then slavery under the Dwemer seems unnecessary.

@@badluck5647 I just find it weirdly convenient how a culture that encourages fighting is a perpetual victim of violence from elves.

@@SketchyRat I guess, but the goals are different as the Imperial wanted to unite the continent under a Dragonborn Emperor who would encourage trade and create peace. • @SketchyRat
      @SketchyRat 2 года назад

@@badluck5647 that’s one way of looking at it. But I personally see it more as ‘we can lead better than you’ from both sides. I think both think they’re superior for different reasons, but the elves are more blunt about it.
It’s only uniting if you’re the victor. Otherwise it’s invasion, which is how humans see elven advancement. It’s no different than how elves saw the empire formation. The reason for it doesn’t matter, foreigners come & tell you how to live because they think their way of living is better, & that includes the humans when they try to change how other races live. Even if it’s what we perceive for be for the better.

    • @SketchyRat
      @SketchyRat 2 года назад

@@badluck5647 Besides, if their goals were so noble why didn’t they consider anyone outside their own race? Because they wanted themselves to be in power. What does it mean that “the worship of the false god Talos contributed to the unfortunate friction that led to the Great War”??
I had been wondering why the Thalmor cared about Talos worship, out of the nine, beyond just Talos having been a man that became elevated to a god. Like what’s the real underlying reason?
I had been thinking - conspiracy-minded here - that the Thalmor had possibly selected Talos out of the Nine to have their worship banned, knowing that the type of people who would find this most abhorrent are also the ones most likely to start a civil war over it. Ie they were playing a long strategic move so the Empire would wind up with the province of Skyrim having turbulence , keeping the Empire’s attention and resources divided between concerns both foreign and domestic.

Theory (yea I know but still): Vivec was born from a Chimer and a Dwemer. This duality in him is forshadowed in his choice to keep two different parts of him when Azura cursed the race and turned them into the Dark elves. Thanks to the power of Lorkan's heart he was not affected by the same event with the rest of the Dwemer. Instead his disappearance must have happened when his power's run out and his Divinity could no longer keep him safe. We also know that there is one last living Dwemer (cant remember the name) but as we know for this case the last dwemer was in another realm and thus was completely unaffected. In Vivecs case he was affected but he was using, consciously or unconsciously, Lorkan's divine powers from the heart to remain in mundus.

    • @MoonMoverGaming
