I was very surprised at how well it worked. I have certainly recommended them to people. I have another from ebay which I haven't mounted on a machine and I would bet the one in this video is brighter

How did you cut down or shorten the harness as it's way too long for my quad, I probably should've just made my own. I have a 15" bar with side shooters on handlebar & HF 3" spot pods with side shooters on the front of my 400EX they really light up the night... I mainly ride in the TSF Diamond Mill Oregon
I have the same light I’m about to install. The 2 wires coming off the harness are brown and black.I’m going to assume the black is the negative?Maybe the brown wire is supposed to be red but is discolored not sure.Did you use the black as the negative?
These have been holding up fine. They were what I had on hand at the time. Ideally I would have rather used a splitter. The best option will always be the most waterproof option you can find.
Sheesh... noob problem. This was actually my 4th video ever made and only 2nd video I edited. I did have footage of it in action but apparently I didn't see the value in it at that time, i only sent it to the quad owner for approval. A company just sent me free LED's to review and I have shot the nighttime comparison... well almost, we have a hangup and I can't complete the video until I hear back from them. Back to this video, all I can say is the customer was very happy with them and I was also impressed with the light output. I only wonder if I couldn't have found a better price online for a similar output.
Hey did you use a relay or fuse? I did the same setup on my 300 with the same light bar. Everything worked, until I started it the next day to plow. The headlights flickered and went out (new stock halogen bulbs). The led bar works great but oem headlights don't work. Wired it so led bar would turn on with my high beams. I did a decent job wiring it up with heat shrink connectors etc. Any ideas? I was wodering if you had any issues, just hate to take the fender and wiring apart without knowing. (98 trx300fw)
I did not use a relay or fuse. Also wired in to high beams. If the led is working still on the same circuit then the circuit is of course still working. You have no highs or lows? Are your bulbs blown? Check voltage at the headlight wiring, perhaps your voltage rectifier has stopped working and you are applying too much voltage.
Voltage rectifier? Yeah all the wires were tight before applying heat. Bulbs are new but I will check them. I appreciate the reply. Good to know you didn't need a relay or fuse etc. Knowing that you did the same procedure now I am going to take the connections apart to see if something went wrong after inspecting the bulbs and the stock bullet connectors again. Should have soldered or went your direction with the gator/t taps! Thanks for video by the way, inspired me to buy a separate harness for side/reverse lights and maybe even for the truck down the line. Didn't know how helpful some fairly cheap led lights are.
The voltage rectifier cleans up the voltage so you don't get crazy spikes. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the t-taps but they made it quick and easy for me. According to the manual the light only draws 12 watts so I didn't figure a relay would be needed and tapping into the stock wiring would be fine. Again being that the led is still working the stock circuit is still working, I'm betting it's your ground wire to the stock lights.
you are explaining it all wrong! i mean we all know how to drill a hole or cut a wire, maybe try explain which wire on the vehicle and why that wire and what's the alternative! who cares where you drill, like we all have same dimensions lamp--- this is 10th tutorial that failed miserably... seems to me if i knew how to properly speak english i'd be rich as crasus
@The.Odyssey I have some yellow film I was thinking about putting over if these are not helping visibility. Everyone acts like them dumbass blue lights works miracles as if they split the fog. Thanks you

I just might have to get one of those for mine...I have night blindness & stock lighting is never good enough...

@@The.Odyssey these are not very bright get the Roadshock 3" spot pods with side shooters 🙄 now you can run with the big dogs 😉
Roadshock 3" spot pods with side shooters waaay brighter
@@speedfreak8200 the customer was happy with it. And I don't run with the big dogs, I outrun them.
@@The.Odyssey Bless your heart 💙
Good stuff to know
Thanks!

Great video. I bought the items needed to do the install except for the tap. What size did you use?
I used a 1/4 x 20 tap

did you not install a wiring harness? Looking to do the same thing to my sons Rincon. THANKS
how old is your son? maybe let him do it, or you will end up doing it for him well into his 40's
how do those wire taps hold up? the crimp ons that pierce and make contact? Are they waterproof?
These have been holding up fine. They were what I had on hand at the time. Ideally I would have rather used a splitter. The best option will always be the most waterproof option you can find.
Did you end up doing this?
no demo???

Also, I am trying to remember, these are H6 or H6M bulbs right? Those connectors can be tricky, make sure they are seated right
Heat shrink connectors? So I am assuming you crimped as well? Did you tug on the wires before shrinking? Always tug...

Nice buddy 👍
Thanks man, I'm still learning.
Anyone know what size wiring to use for these light and or what size fuse
Are they too bright for street driving?
I feel like they may be.

How do these do in the fog? I just got 6in bar for an suv with the world's most useless lights 😠 better off using the phones flashlight. 🤞
Honestly I wouldn't know. I did this quad for a person. For the fog you would want them with a yellow tint
