  • 5th July 2020 would have been the last Sunday of the academic year for Truro Cathedral Choir. As this year the choir is unable to gather to reflect on and give thanks for the contribution of those choristers, choral scholars and organists leaving our choral foundation, instead this video has been produced which charts some of the key moments in the journey of the leavers. We hope you enjoy it.
Stay up to date with the latest news from Truro Cathedral via the website www.trurocathedral.org.uk and on Facebook and Twitter: @TruroCathedral and @TruroCathChoir.

What a lovely idea - well done Truro! I think it's so sad for these choristers, being denied their final two terms as the most senior and experienced choristers, as well as all the celebrations in recognition of their time at the Cathedral that there would otherwise have been. And sad too for the choral scholars and organists, who have had little of the time they should have had in the Cathedral. Best of luck, all of you, in the future.

What a lovely tribute. Thank you to all involved, and warmest good wishes to those who are leaving for a new place.
As the Dean says, you enhanced people's lives - so it's about even more than the music that draws us together. I so look forward to the time when the choir of Truro Cathedral, and its other musicians, will be able to meet together again and enrich the cathedral's worship.

My husband and our 3 sons were all in the choir from 1971 onwards. Many happy hours. Mrs Edwards and I used to launder the boys surplices in those days. We did half each. I will say that our sons have grown up to become successful in their lives and still sing today in choirs with our youngest spending 4 years at Trinity College of Music studying and voice training. We have much to thank the Cathedral and the staff then (John Winter & Henry Doughty). Daphne & David Brown.

Thank you for your role in Gee Seven. I found it inspiring and a marvellous way to engage Primary School students especially. The video I saw was truly moving

I’d though you’ll be live streaming your Song Eucharist today but eventually realized that today’s Program is really targeted at celebrating outgoing Choir members. Congratulations to them all. This is wishing them all, God’s abiding presence in their individual future endeavors.
Just wondering if the Song Eucharist is broadcast every Sunday and the link for participating / joining on subsequent Sundays. Have a blessed and glorious week ahead.
