I love Unchained. Just needs a little more support before it can become viable
Love the profile, ive been working on unchained for a while and I think I have a much strong "break board" build that is pretty consistent

I just feel like this version is able to pick your opponents board apart a little easier, and is more consistent
I love Unchained for two reasons, it's a fiend deck and two it summons using your opponents monsters.
Uhm, Tour Guide is not going to work in this deck, unless of course you have Aruha in hand. Because the monster you summon is an "Unchained Twins" while all the link monsters need an "Unchained Soul" as their link material (aside from abomination but that needs a Link monster). With Aruha in hand however you can destroy what you summon off Tour Guide and special summon something new from the deck so this could work, particularly with Abomination's Prison :)
Anyway, love the deck :D it was after your previous profile that I decided to build it and so far it's evolved to be one of my favourite decks ever xD What I love the most is its ability to play through a metric ton of negate and destroy effects, and general disruption. I once managed to play second against a Kali Yuga that was brought out on my turn!

Tour Guide does work, you go into Break Sword, which does work unlike he says, because you can pop ANYTHING other than Break Sword, like literally any Unchained monster/spell/trap, of the monsters I find Aruha the easiest (Aruha can pop a set S/T to Special summon itself from the hand, then summoning another Unchained from the deck from the popped card.) Tour Guide is best used to summon something like Dark Spirit of Banishment, which goes from GY to your hand once a lv 8 hits the GY (Banishment will cause the opponent to lose a monster in battle, whereas Malice honestly doesn't do anything since both negate the lv8 effects'; also Abominable summoning is a HOPT). You could also use Sangan/Doomdog (to search Ash/Abominable), but XYZ Materials are not considered on the field, so you'd need to use them as Link Materials or if have Aruha, in which case bringing out Rakea/Sarama from Tour Guide would probably be better anyways.
Coral Dragon similarly works like Break Sword if you use Psychic Wheelder, only you'll pop a 2400 ATK monster for free, discard one to pop anything, and then when you use it for fodder or if it goes to the GY you draw 1.
You can also use Aruha, or any Twins on the field, in combination with BaoBaboon too. And everything works very well with Torrential Tribute as much as it would with Dark Hole...the opponent probably wouldn't pop it either, since any set cards destroyed summon from the deck.

I like the archetype. I tried to make one at one point, but now that this is out, I might consider trying it out. I look forward to some cool deck profiles in the future.

Unchained is my second favourite archetype and it even has some cool interactions with my favourite archetype abyss actors.

But if one day they become meta it'll be the sexiest meta deck since thunder dragons !
It's not popular, but it is easily strong enough. Just throw in Dark Ruler No More and you can break just about any monster board. It also has non-monster removal against Mine decks like everything Meta should in the form of Wailing. Turn 1 boards usually aren't the most impressive, but you could splash some random traps like Torrential Tribute, Mistake or Macro Cosmos since they don't search outside of Prison and they don't care if things get banished as much as other decks (Only Sarama, Abominable Soul, and the Extra Deck Souls pretty much), and the opponent isn't going to blind pop backrow.
Second favorite deck of all time... it’s an archetype that vibes perfectly with this deck 🤭 that’s my little secret... Tour guide is a one of in my build
Been thinking about building this with Eldlich, seeing as how both float like nothing else. It’d be hard to keep up with I think.

Have you experimented with torrential tribute instead of dark hole? I was planning of using a ratio of 1:2 of both
from your description it looks cool
Through testing with the deck, I find that I never need more than 1 Abomination. I like having the versatility of the Topologic monsters in the extra deck. Also, Doublebyte Dragon is a really good card for this deck if you're playing against a link heavy deck.

any clue on how viable the deck is rn? been trying to get back into the game but I'm having a hard time figuring out what works and what doesn't
i just got back into this hecking game recently. I have been binging darkarmedduelist and adding deck profiles to an online ygo site. Im not trying to be competitive and im having fun exploring the old archetypes I used to play. My advice is just try and get accustomed with all the new stuff. Build link focused decks, pendulum focused decks, etc and just find what feels fun to play :D
As to your question, I would put Unchained a tier below Rogue. It is definitely one of the best casual decks out there and can occasionally even win against meta decks, but it's not Rogue, not really. Its strength lies in being so capable of playing through a ton of negate & destroy effects so if those piss you off, this is the deck to play xD
