Thankyou for sharing Stan.. Our BEAUTIFUL country over the hood of ur AWESOME TRUCK WOOOW Y'ALL !! AWESOME AMAZING FABULOUS!!!! & GR8 food TOO !!! Thankyou BIGG GUY !! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM😋☺👍👍
Stan is like a polar bear, when it snows, does he care?...heck no, he is right out in it...polar bears can't cook though. I love your short cut recipe for chicken and dumplings and plan to try it as soon as the weather gets cold. Be good big Stan and drive safe.
Just found this video! Spent the first 13 years of my life between Spokane and Wallace. Seen lookout pass many times! Then starting in the early 70’s started driving truck and made this run and more out of AR. & OK. For about 30 years. Really love this one still kinda makes me homesick! One thing that still sticks out to me is the Miners Hat in Kellogg, ID.
How did I miss these two videos? We traveled that route so many times. Such beautiful scenery in the snow. Those chicken and dumplings sure look good too!🙂
Your fan from India here : Your videos are awesome and love your style. Lots of information and I'm getting to know a lot about trucking life and the country. Fascinating.
My first time in my husband’s truck in 1989, we got stuck in Redwood, CA due to snow for a couple of days. The drive up to Idaho was the most spectacular of anything I’ve ever seen. There’s an overlook somewhere along there near a church steeple where I saw my first American Bald Eagles. I’ll never forget that day.
Idaho is beautiful and you made me really miss the PNW in the winter which is hard to do. Come down to sunny Florida and I’ll make you the best chicken and dumplings you’ve ever had, all from scratch!
I grew up in Spokane. I miss it but not so much in the winter, every summer I head back that way and that is a beautiful ride through Montana, Idaho and Washington. Lookout Pass has a bike trail you can rent a bike or bring your own, it's called the Hiawatha Trail, it's built over the abandoned railroad track and it's all downhill.
I sure enjoy your videos! I pent a career in the military and used to drive that same route from Fort Lewis, Wa to Northern Minnesota many many times between 1974 and 1977. Sure is beautiful country to drive through.
Not a whole lot of snow on Lookout, mile marker 0, this year. Been over from the Bitterroot to Portland and Seattle at least 100 times in my car. They sure have improved the Missoula to CDA stretch since the 70s and 80s. Safety be with you out there. 👍
Grew up in Basin City wa. Hauled seed potatoes from Ronan Mt back to Washington every spring over that highway. 4th of July, Three sisters, all those passes. good times
Washington...that's about as far northwest that you can go really...unless you go to Alaska...beautiful scenery with the snow on the trees...lots of snow there too. Yup, you noticed those trees with the snow on them too...shame for all the noise...it be nice hold-up in a cabin somewhere this time of year, with a fireplace...yeah...has me thinking...and some of that instrumental music you had on those other videos...sheesh, that music was beautiful!! I'm glad you found another route and also glad that it wound up being the same distance...that is a long haul for sure!! Oh, here comes so more of that beautiful music! Stay safe, Stan...hugs too💖🙏❄🎿Nascar is on!! That used to be my late hubby's favorite meal...but, I made my dumplings from scratch...I bet that cream of chicken soup really made that taste good too.
In summer this year we traveled on I-90 at Coeur D'Alene and it was totally different...(forest fires, pretty hot)so it's awesome to see that there's so much snow in winter there...keep it up!
Awesome video! Not only is the material you cover cool but you film and edit them so well. Thank you. Those dumplings look delicious by the way 😍 Keep on trucking.
So that's how to make homemade chicken and dumplings. I am 60 and never made it. After I finish my homemade chili with sweet potato I will be trying to make your recipe, thanks so much for sharing recipes along with your travels. Semi bunks sure have changed in the years. I can remember struggling to get in and out of long nose peterbuilt bunks..thanks for all you do
Nice job. I am starting CDL training soon and my long term goal is to have a super sleeper so my wife and I can see the country. Really enjoy your videos.
I love the snow too! But don’t like driving in it. Just give me a big fireplace and kitchen and I’ll make some handmade bread and some soup! And enjoy a good day. I make a mean pot of chicken and dumplings too. But can’t eat now. Working on taking some weight off!
Hey dude I miss looking through the glass killing bugs, there is so much to see and that's part of mess I did 30 years lowboy flatbed log truck chip truck live bottom end dumps Freight boxes doubles. Anyway I keep a rubber side down enjoy the ride
I appreciate the captions identifying your location. I'll be following your videos regularly. Heard about you when Nomadic Fanatic Eric interviewed you.
Right. Plans💩 Haven't been through there in ages. Thanks for the "ride along". That time I had to drive of course. Once in a while I rode with someone else for a vacation. Once I had to abort mission and go that other 1945? mile route to get out of that darn snow but I agree, not quite as pretty, I love trees. Mostly Doug Firs. Great lodge. Like a great big cabin. Believe it or not, some places to sneak off for Cross Country Skiing @ Lookout Pass Lodge. I am starting to travel more again so I left off with that 'Mileage Maker'? Mileage Wizard? that old calculator town to town thing and Rand McNalley Atlas and a road resource book thing for truckers. It also had city maps in it. Rust bucket here, can't remember the name of it. Great for pros and vacationers alike. Saved me fumbling for 24 restaurants and showers, of course, you folks first but I don't mind waiting a bit. When I travel, I tend to sleep a while, then travel a while, then sleep again and I like comfortable 4 wheelers.
Many of the western states require you carry chains with you thru our the winter. You only have to put them on if DOT deems it necessary. There are signs along the hwy that tells when to use them, usually when going over mountain passes.
Chicken and dumplings, one of my all time favorites. I like your take on the recipe. Hey, just wondering, did you deadhead the 1931 miles from Washington state to Wisconsin ? How can you afford that. Did the return trip pay that well ? Just watched #161. I see where you picked up a container and watching #162 again, I see the containter. On the first view, it blended in with the snow. :)
Tire socks are great for traction and personal peace of mind. Although I believe in them, many states won't recognise them as a legal alternative. Also anyone with a single axle tractor like mine they won't accept them.
161 an 162 are my top favs videos of scenery,an I've watched all your videos some twice!👍🏻👍🏻❄️🚛🚛
I'm loving these videos, getting to live the dream through your eyes. Thank you 😊

Try to find some fresh cheese curds while you're here (WI) if you haven't ever tried them before.

What is that cool software map route etc program???? It looks like the great grandkid version of that old calculator I had.
DeLorme road atlas 2014. They dont sell it any more
That’s a lot easier than getting the flour out and making scratch dumplings
HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM I WANT DINNER...................NICE VIDEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD JOBBBBBBBBBBBBB.
Good video sir. Stay safe!
Your doing a good job of what you keep it up
OMG! I miss chicken and dumplings! I've given up carbs :-( No matter. LOVE your videos. You're one of my go-to RUclipsrs. :-)
I make my Grandmother's Southern Chicken and Dumpling recipe but yours sure would be a whole lot easier
Next time try some peas in then you get your veggie too, lol..
That's how I make them too, very good on a cold day.
Good video and nice job of editing. You keep getting better and better.

I was at exit 96,missoula,all weekend, was glad the 48 car was out to lunch the whole race!
Love the beautiful scenery and especially love the song at about 9:26. Would you happen to know the name? I’ve asked others. No response so far.
'Windows rolled down' by the 126ers in the RUclips collection
@@Sasnak Thank you so much. I've been asking others for 2 years!
Your welcome. Couldn't remember, had to look it up
Yeah dumplings
Beautiful scenery 👍. How long did the biscuits/dumplings have to boil for?
I am just curious.. don't you need chains all the time crossing the mountains in the US? Is that something that can be modified on your truck?
Many of the western states require you carry chains with you thru our the winter. You only have to put them on if DOT deems it necessary. There are signs along the hwy that tells when to use them, usually when going over mountain passes.
Sasnak- thanks.. I always wondered about that.

Time to head towards the south.

Considered tire socks?
That's a good one!
