Do not worry Caitlin - I'm glad you explained your own thoughts regarding temporary groups :D As a zerose AND a person who stans IZ*ONE, WannaOne, and X1, their temporariness is what makes me enjoy their current music so much more - it's akin to a feeling when you finish a good book and sit there for a moment taking it in :'). I also think part of the fun of these groups is also what comes out of them and watching the members grow later on their individual paths; like Kang Daniel's solo career or Jinyoung in W1 and then Jinyoung in CIX, Yujin and Wonyoung in IZ*ONE and then in IVE. Not to mention that their discography is amazing - "Take My Hand" from this album in particular is one of the most beautiful and unique kpop songs I've heard in a long while. I'm always going to be happy that ZB1 happened

From my understanding of the lyrics on the chorus and the title, "가시" or Gasi refers to sharp thorns on something such as plant for example. In the chorus when they say Gosh it seems to be a play on that word "Gasi" and that explains why that part is so sudden and sounds very aggressive with the beat as well as if thorns are growing out of a plant and if you think about the concept / fan name and even the logo at the end of music video it's definitely to represent the thorns of a rose and I think that's brilliant lyricism.
Honestly totally understandable to not want to stan them in order to not get attached, as zeroses who have been here since boys planet it truly is such a magical feeling to see them all grow together and see how much they’ve become a family and while there is that feeling of knowing that they will disband one day, we don’t feel any regret. And tbh anything could happen, right now kep1er are having talks of extending their contract, so never say never. Watching there live performances and all of their content, they truly are a breath of fresh air and a group Kpop really needed. I mean just watching all their reality show content and lives you can tell they’re extremely hilarious. If one day you decide to dive in the rabbit hole, you won’t regret it, they truly are precious boys. And it can be scary knowing that they will disband but being on this journey with them is so fulfilling and so rewarding.

Every person has their own personal preference so what makes me go "wow I can't not stan" is different than your own taste so to each their own! As someone who gets ridiculously, emotionally attached to groups, i get it. I was there for both IOI and Wanna One’s disbandments and they hurt like a buttcheek on a stick but i enjoyed my time with them :) I will say tho zb1 is just so different idk what it is 😭. Their contract is a bit longer than usual and there’s a possibility that it may be extended since none of them have other commitments to attend to from what I know. I know u said you’re not interested but if you do end up wanting to check them out or see more of THEM I highlyy recommend watching their performances from Boys Planet such as En Garde, say my name, over me, switch, jelly pop, and hot summer. It’s a big range of original songs,, i think you might like a few :))

I will say tho zb1 is just so different idk what it is 😭. Their contract is a bit longer than usual and there’s a possibility that it may be extended since none of them have other commitments to attend to from what I know.

It’s a big range of original songs,, i think you might like a few :))
oh I get you, at first I too was keeping my distance bc of the temporary thing, but at the end I fell for them anyways 😅 I had to watch this mv for like four times to even process the song, now I'm completely obsessed-
and the album !! the instrumentals are crazy and scratch a part of my brain that LOVES it, my fav is probably kidz zone, but I really really love take my hand too! I really like melting point, and even if good night is not the kind of song I usually listen, it's still SO good and I like it, I'm so in love with this whole album 🫣

I think I understand what you mean by not wanting to stan temporary groups, a lot of people get attached to these groups emotionally specifically. So because of that people really end up loving the groups and then later on when they aren’t together anymore it’s really depressing. It’s better to not stan because you don’t wanna get attached. So yeah I understand what you meant.
