The FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot uses a vacuum gripper to rapidly grab and erect cases. This robotic case erector is efficient, reliable, and reduces changeover time while allowing for variations in the incoming corrugate. FANUC’s M-710iC/45M robot is then used to pick and place products from the infeed conveyor into the cases. Additionally, the FANUC M-710iC/45 robot is able to pick and place full cases onto the pallet, as well as pick and place new layer sheets. It’s able to perform these tasks through the use of multi-purpose vacuum end of arm tooling.
Integration with labelers, coders and any other product identification tool is easy, and keeping a layer sheet magazine and pallet infeed inside the system makes it truly automated.
