I did 22 years in the British Army but would have loved to have been posted to Canada. The nearest I got was a life firing Ex at BATUS in Alberta. God Bless our glorious Canadian Comrades.
Greetings from Northern Alberta. I did 37 years Army and Retired in 2010, spent a few hot summers, and cold winters in Suffield. Lot's of old gun emplacements all along the BC Coast.
Fenced compound, ammo storage, underground passages... perfect placement with an exceptional vantage point from up on the mountain!! what an excellent explore Brent!! Thanks so much!
Hello from Mönchengladbach Germany. What a very nice explore. An abandoned military object is always an adventure. A 6 inch coastal Battery is not an every day found. Sealed doors has it reasons. Many equipment or anything else could left behind (for example: Camouflage paint contains a lot of lead and other cancer provocations materials). The landscape is amazing. Many Thanks for your Work together Brent and Dame Untamed. Stay safe and God bless you.
Whether it's an abandoned farmhouse, mansion, or airfield with planes, this has to be the most unexpected, amazing find in your travels. Man, I REALLY wanted you to be able to get inside! Shock and awe. Brent, huge thanks for sharing this with us!
I respect this explore and loved it.. Imagine them walk through it all, the training, the missing of families just for their country.. My dad was an army man, and I love them.. Thanks Brent for posting this, and also "the Indian time."❤
Abandoned Urbex Canada Thanks Brent for sharing with me this video i really enjoyed it so much about Hikers Find Abandoned WW2 Classified Military Base on a Canadian Mountain. Explore it was a really an awesome video and thanks again for sharing it with me and God Bless.
Part of West Coast defence network during WWII, there are a few on Vancouver Island and I would imagine on some strategic locations on Straights of Georgia islands as well. Another fascinating explore, thanks Brent.
There are installations all along the coast from WWII. There is the ruins of a base near Prince Rupert, there is a Large Bunker with equipment left over from the war near Terrace BC airport. (or was in 1999 when some schoomatesbroke in and opened a crate with a 40s generator inside of it.) There are recently decomissioned radar sites on Haidaa Gwai that has been in operation since the 40s. This was the frontline if Japan invaded.
There was a large fort on the north side under the lions gate bridge. Torn down circa 1980. Used to play in it. 2 storey thick walled structure with old gun mounts. iirc the mounts were small but the place could hold several guns. So from point grey to stanley park back out to point atkinson pretty much had Burrard Inlet covered.
You’re drone footage is spectacular, and a truly beautiful view!! Incredible find, and so awesome that you were able to get inside to see and video a section of it!! ❤️
Hey Brent. What a incredible explore very interesting. The views overlooking the water was so beautiful, and your drone work is so spectacular. You are my favorite and never disappoint. BC is such a beautiful province . Hope you had a great trip. As always can't wait for the next upload. Cheers friend, Durham region 🇨🇦🍁
That was a fascinating place Brent - such a shame you couldn't access all the buildings..... but what a situation, surrounded by magnificent views. Thanks to my favourite explorer for all the effort to get there!! Gill 🇬🇧
I remember training there in the late 70s with my Reserve Infantry Regiment. The place wasn't sealed then. Brings back memories of my soldierly youth. Thanks for doing this episode. I won't say anymore. I don't want to disclose the location. Cheers!
❤Thanks Brent! Had to watch this again. Always interesring. Grateful for your attention to detail, history, drone views, and the lovely environment/location of your explores❤ Perfection!
This was so cool. Too bad we couldn't get in the underground parts, but still one of the best abandoned places I've explored. A really well edited/ produced video as usual. Great work & thanks again for letting me tag along :)
Thanks Nikki! Something we might never see again. So glad we made the hike up. A campfire at the top would have been cool! Your welcome and look forward for more exploring in the future. 🎥😁
Dear Brent: I was thinking "I want to go there" and you show a wall written LÍA 47 (12:52) . I'm 45 years old and I'm in Argentina, I thought: well, at least Brent and another Lía went there. Thank you for showing us this incredible place. Excellent video

That was very cool! Loved your drone footage and also loved the music! Would be interesting to know what’s really in there, but then again maybe it’s a bunch of nothing. Thank you for taking us along!! 💋💙🥰
Amazing how well everything is still holding up after being abandoned for 65ish years and built 80 some years ago...and exposed to the elements for all that time. Other than the rusted doors and hinges, the place looks like it could be used again if ever needed. All I could think of was that I'd love to camp up there...lol. Great video!
What a Great vid, you had to be half mountain goat for this one! Brent you are ALWAYS Mixin it up n' Bringin it to your viewers, can't say enough bout how much your explores are appreciated!! The explore , filming , music choice, composition all put together so well! Luv that you take your time filming & editing it really shows. Thank you for droppin this one!💥💥💥 Shout out to Dan for sharing!
I really liked this video Brent! Absolutely fascinating 😃 Your drone work is spot on! 👍👍 British Columbia is sooo beautiful! 😍. I know this is random, but, I’ll bet there are some Sasquatchs that live around there.
This reminds me of Fort Worden in Washington State USA and Fort Stevens in Oregon USA. They are both more open for exploring inside and Fort Worden is especially extensive. My two sons had a great time in both places! But I can understand why they would keep such a remote facility closed to exploration.
you are the most extraordinary urban explorer Brent!!!, not only is it a beautiful place, they are the most wonderful military installations that I have ever seen in my life... I wish they could make a historical theme park with them, they deserve their conservation and to be of foot (with a little rust from humidity and time), but really worth it to preserve Canada's history. I am not Canadian, I am Mexican, but I am passionate about the history of war, especially World War II, and I would like to know more about how your country intervened. A thousand congratulations, you left me in love with your country!!
The military defensive layout was impressive. Never knew it existed in BC Canada. Would it be built in case of possible Japanese attacks during WW2? Loved the drone shots. Tell Dan thanks for passing this hidden gem on to you. so you can share with your viewers. Thanks Brent.
We had a base close to my city Grande Prairie AB. Info follows: Canadian Forces Station Beaverlodge is a closed General Surveillance Radar station. It is located 4.9 miles east-northeast of Beaverlodge, Alberta. It was closed in 1988. It was operated as part of the Pinetree Line network controlled by NORAD. It was torn down in the early 90’s. My husband put the ground back to natural habitat. It’s now home to a very rare ground squirrel that only peeks it’s head out for a week every summer. Incase you needed little more pieces of useless information😉😂 It is a beautiful spot with breathtaking views of the Peace Country.
Hi Brent. Thank you for sharing this explore. I loved it. It was a shame that it was all locked up. Also a very beautiful view. Greetings from Doris in Australia 🙂
