@arcofadiver1 I think now days all newer school buses are automatics. I dont konw when the last year manual's were still manufactured on new buses but I know many school bus drivers were glad when they became standard in automatic since shifting is a pain in the butt for many.

@arcofadiver1 Yes. The C2 was spected to be a stick shift. The old Thomas FS-65s were spected and some came with manual tranies.
@arcofadiver1 I doubt it. Most buses, school and city, garbage trucks, recycle trucks are all autos because of the stop and go.
Thomas still offers a manual transmission in the C2s...
@cocacolasexyboy Double clutches haven't been used in like 40 years.
@arcofadiver1 IC Will soon be making manual or automatic trans But In a few years from noww
@gajda1984 Some big rigs still use them
@arcofadiver1 Yes. Thomas makes a C2 with one, and IC has it as an option on the CE and maybe the BE. Not sure about Blue Bird
You can get a manual transmission in a saf-t-liner c2

most are autos, people dont know how to or like driving manual. sounds like it may have intl t444 v-8 diesel engine.
why does the bus make that noise when you turn the key
Michael Zuzunagha Hydraulic brake booster.
what type of engine is that bus have ?
Sounds like a 5.9 12valve Cummins.

manuals are great for country routes, autos are better for city routes.
