Unscented puppy pads for on the go diaper changes. Some public baby change areas are nasty, so its nice to not have to put a contaminated reusable change pad back into the diaper bag.
Yes!!! I use the pad they sell for old ppl that are incontinent. I can get a huge thing of them for about $6 at Walmart. I use them at home! On top of the diaper pad so I don’t have to constantly wash it or for middle of the night changes on the bed. Also for sponge baths! They are awesome and such an unknown game changer.
My kids are now 9&11. My first baby was sooo colicky and an essential for me was an exercise ball. I probably spent 5 hours a day holding him and just bouncing up and down. Works your butt and quads out at the same time. Also, just walking outside to change the environment stopped the crying most of the time too. Good luck to all the new mommas!!!
Hi Amanda. I'm currently preg with my 3rd bub and can say with things like bouncers, loungers and even bassinets; borrow or hire where possible. All babies are different and what one loves another hates and you can spend alot of money on things you cant use. Also the zip onesies tip is gold! My newborn has only cotton zip onesies on the newborn size and I've told everyone if it doesnt have a zip dont buy it. Dads love it too.
I’m six and a half months pregnant! I’m so excited , but I was getting anxious because I didn’t know what to get to be a prepared mom! Thank you so very much for your video and to everyone for their recommendations here on the comments!
Maybe he is colicky because of something you are consuming. My son was very fussy but I cut dairy and caffeine and he wasn’t fussy after that! Just something to consider looking into 😌
I LOVE that you were straight to the point, most videos can go on for hours talking about just one product and it makes me dizzy. This was super helpful for my second baby 🤍 thank you!
Thank you Carly! I remember watching this while pregnant and had no idea what any of these things were used for lol. Baby is now 6 months. Yes to sound machine. Yes to bijorn bouncer. Yes to teddy head shaping pillow. For us the Snoo was a waste of money - baby only woke to be fed so rocking didn't help with that. Also our sleep specialist baby nurse said it makes it more difficult long term for kids to sleep on their own if they are used to the Snoo. Some people swear by it though so each to their own. The Snoo Sleepea swaddles are great though - I would highly recommend. They can be used as a full swaddle or arms out. Baby Brezza was a great purchase - planned on nursing but we couldn't get it together. If you are mostly or only formula feeding this thing will save your life. It does require a bit of maintenance though. Descale every month and change of spout every fourth bottle.
So glad you did this. My baby making days are long over but my children want to give me seems like a dozen grandchildren! August will bring #7! I’ve bought so many things that were not useful at all! This helped me a lot. Interested in car seat, swaddles, and sound machines. I never got any of my grandchildren a sound machine. Thanks!! ❤️💙
Nine months pregnant with my 2nd so I appreciate this list because I know what worked the first time around but I needed a refresher I’m still in toddler mode 😅
“Will I Ever Sleep Again,” sleep trying by Taking Cara Babies. I was a social worker and number 1issue was lack of sleep! Every client that used this found success. My baby slept through the night at 8 weeks. My sister-in-laws have very active and colicky babies that sleep through the night using the methods from the training. A MUST HAVE! Sleep is so important.
First off- this video was great! Thank you so much! I used a changing pad (same kind) with my son as a place to chill- I’m glad you baby likes it as well. I don’t know if they even had Dockatots 12 years ago, but I wouldn’t pay for it now. And the Hakka sounds awesome! My milk production got really low the first time around so I had to supplement, and eventually switch completely over to formula. The brezza sounds amazing! I’m going to check the FB marketplace for it.
Girl you are SO pretty! Your face is so symmetrical! I know that's a weird compliment! I'm sorry! Lol and thanks for this video. I'm a bit obsessive on research for my little one as a first time mom who's like... Never even met a baby. 😂
I didn’t like the zipped onesies. They open at an angle so the opposite leg is awkward to get in and the zip sticks out in places because it’s stiff, sometimes just under the neck so you end up having to open it a little from the top. Buttons do take longer but after a while you just become a pro at doing them.
Hey you. Yes, you. The random person I would never meet. I truly hope that you would find happiness in life. Today is going to be a great day. blessings and love✍️💯♥️❤️♥️❤️h
Congratulations to you and your family you look absolutely stunning glowing amazing beautiful gorgeous what brand of diapers are you going to use Pampers or huggies or luvs
I‘m a little confused about adding distilled water to the formula powder...isn’t drikning distilled water really bad for you? Because there’s no minerals left, or whatever.🤷🏼♀️ Just asking, no hate, I just genuinely want to know!😅
I was taught in pre-natal class to use boiled, cooled tap water for formula primarily because distilled water has no added nutrients and is also a waste of money
Please don’t give your baby tap water (even if boiled) 😕 & distilled water being bad for you is a myth, definitely use that before using tap water or just get a good water filter like the Berkey.

That’s a good idea!!
Stealing this idea!
Awesome idea!
This is literally genius

I’m not pregnant or trying for a baby yet but still watching this for my future self! It’s always good to know 💖
I’m going to be a aunt, and I’m 12, so I’m trying to help my sister and my niece out 😂 she’s 8 months pregnant!
Currently 7 months pregnant with my first and I sooooo appreciate this video! Seriously perfect timing!
so glad it could help! congratulations!
My second baby is on her way too and soon too!! I'll be 8 months may 2 (:

You just popped up on my suggested videos! I’m almost 6 months pregnant and currently making my list of things to get so this was super helpful 😅💗
awesome! So glad it could help! Congrats!
5 months pregnant with my baby girl! First time mom and this is so helpful because I have no idea what I need. Thank you!

Carly, I would cut out coffee. It’s quite acidic and can upset baby’s stomach. Just something I learned. 😁
I reluctantly cut out coffee postpartum but when I finally did my colicky baby saw relieve in 4-5 days. I wish I would have quit sooner.
Second time pregnant mum here. My first was a super colicky, unhappy baby, So I totally related to this video and super appreciated your honesty!
First time dad with a lil boy on the way so grateful for your video 🙏🏽 haha
4 months pregnant with first child and this is super helpful!! Thank you for taking the time to share!!
aww congratulations mama! So exciting!
Congrats!! I just had my baby girl and am so in love 🥺 motherhood is the best!
I agree, newborns don't need a lot of things. You are doing great momma!
Cake Maternity nursing bras 😍 (the sports bra look) they are soooo buttery soft and so supportive!

First time mom here🙋🏻♀️ I’m in my first trimester, too early I know but I want to investigate everything I need! I am clueless and nervous 😅
I had the Elvie too and was a game changer. I seriously was going crazy sitting down pumping before. Love this video. Thanks babe.
right?! I can't imagine doing it now that I have 2. I would never pump!
@@CarlyCristman I can only imagine! What a wonderful thing. I really want the bouncer now. My son is now 17 months. So maybe for next baby LOL
Great video! I’d add a nursing pillow if breastfeeding. And a yeti water bottle and coffee mug to keep water cold and coffee hot. 💖

Any expectant mamas out there - this is so spot on! Definitely put all these on your list.

So not relevant but I’m 9 months pregnant in 4 days !!!! So excited 🥺🥺
omg! needed this, 16 weeks pregnant. You look great! and your babies are so gorgeous
thank you so much! Congratulations mama!
We love the Snugapuppy swing!
Thank you Carly! But why a sound machine and not the iPad + Spotify subscription?
I have the same changing pad from Target and my fussy baby loves it too. ‘Forget the dockatot and just get the changing pad’🤣
5 months pregnant with my first baby, putting together my baby registry and this is so helpful
Any advice for new mom’s? Expecting my first in October 🥰
Same October 2nd 🥳 with my first it’s a boy 💙
Try to sleep when the baby is sleeping. You’ll be well rested during the night

Any recommendations for crib matresses?
great video, helpful and practical 👍🏻
Did you use the pad over a snoo swaddle? Like so the snoo would still work?
Hey you. Yes, you. The random person I would never meet. I truly hope that you would find happiness in life. Today is going to be a great day. blessings and love✍️💯♥️❤️♥️❤️h
Thankyou so much you too ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the recommendations!

What is the website for the Elvie pump through insurance?
Don’t have or want children but still watched 👍🏻
haha thank you!
Lounger are meant for when you can see them at all times. DO NOT LEAVE BABY in one when you go take a shower!!!!!
Well you can see the baby when showering if you take them with you in the same room...?
Hey your baby is so beatful💜💜💜😀
Child free, not having any, not very interested in babies, but watched whole video and enjoyed it haha ❤️
What website did you use for the breast pump and insurance ?
❤️❤️
Call your insurance company and tell them the pump you would like
aeroflowbreastpumps.com/
They deal with your insurance for you making it seriously so easy to get a free pump! :)
Great video
Great video! 😃
Can someone tell me why people love that expensive bouncer as opposed to a regular bouncer???
Haha I have no idea, especially since they outgrow it so fast
I think it’s trending 🤷🏾♀️
Is it too much to recommend a freezer chest? Haha. I loved having one in our basement to store breastmilk and tons of food.
hahah SO helpful!
You look amazing!
thank you!!
Baby brezza isn't recommended because there were too.many reports of incorrect formula ratios. Which can be deadly.
I‘m a little confused about adding distilled water to the formula powder...isn’t drikning distilled water really bad for you? Because there’s no minerals left, or whatever.🤷🏼♀️

Distilled water pulls toxins from your body in an osmotic type of way so I've read...
When you use the Haaka, say at night, do you immediately have to transfer it to a bag and put straight in the freezer? Or can it sit until morning?
Fresh expressed milk can be out for up to four hours before being refrigerated :)
I think I’m the only one who’s baby doesn’t like being swaddled, doesn’t like his babybjorn bouncer and white noise doesn’t make a difference 😂😂
video starts at 1:24
does not have 20min to herself
yet makes 13min youtube video.
hmm
hehe jk
@@ColocasiaCorm it’s almost as though this is how she feeds her family
@@keya2325 maybe focus on feeding your own family
Yall think I could use my Bluetooth speaker and a white noise vid from RUclips? 🤔
We tried this and it worked great until an ad popped up. Luckily the baby didn’t wake up but it was close.
@@darianalexi lol ofc the ads 😂😂 maybe I’ll just hafta pay the subscription
Use a video to mp3 converter and then add to mp3 player and play through speaker on loop. We did this with our first baby and it was free 👍
Lol
Yes.. the rain noise on RUclips does the trick
It's just easier to use a sound machine. One botton and your done.
Hi
Too much talk and not enough showing.
