Maybe these days they would, I'm sorry but when I was growing up, the division between the races were not as amped up as they are now. It was during a time where we didn't have identity politics dividing us and we blew shit off instead of coming up with bullshit like microaggressions that is a big word for irritating someone. I also think the division between the races is worse in certain area, areas metropolitan cities where everybody likes to toot their own horns at how progressive they are, yet they don't really do anything but agree with how things should and shouldn't be or how people who don't look like them should be treated, yet its very seldom they soend time with people who don't look like them or build families with people who don't look like them, they keep their distance. There is no reason we should be as divided today as we are, bjt we are because identity politics, social justice rules, they all line us up in our categories by race, gender, sexual orientation etc, and then they pick apart those on the lower ranks of the order, and the fighting continues.
