There are new luxury apartments built in downtown you can get for around that price or you can look at places like in Culver City. It’s really not that hard if you actually look for them. Hell, if your as broke as I am, you can find a bachelor or studio apartment in Koreatown for less than that. No roommates needed.

It depends. But if you want clean, safe, nice area, people in LA pay upwards of $2000 or more a month. LA is slowly becoming just as expensive as New York!

To fix the 'walk through Amanda's room situation', I'd suggest getting a tension rod and a curtain for Amanda to hide her bed if she needs the privacy. That way, Danielle can walk through without disturbing her.
I think the sloth is cute and matches the aesthetic of the room. It's a cozy home, and I am in love with that kitchen set up: large dinning table and the wall length bookshelf

4,200 a month will get you a mini mansion in central California about 3 hours north from Los Angeles and 3.5 hrs from San Francisco. Country living at its best and not too far from the big city life to drive for weekend of fun in the big cities or national parks or beaches.
