Going To Kentucky to check out the mammoth caves

  • Mammoth Cave National Park is a national park in south-central Kentucky, US. It encompasses portions of Mammoth Cave, the longest known cave system in the world. The park's 52,830 acres (21,380 ha) are located primarily in Edmonson County, with small areas extending eastward into Hart and Barren counties. The Green River runs through the park, with a tributary called the Nolin River feeding into the Green just inside the park.

    Went there back in the late 80s. Seems like I can remember it was a guided tour then.

      Yes they have guided and self guided tours now. It was so cool.

    i was just there from the 24th to 28th. maybe i saw you there. i was there every day. i did the grand avenue tour, river styx tour, intro to caving, lost river boat ride and diamond caves. wish i stayed 1 more day since i had to drive back home to CT. it was so hot there i just wanted to stay in the caves.

      Wow so cool. I was there on the 20th so I missed you by 4 days. Yes the cave was so cool and I mean by temperature. It was hot 🥵 I didn’t spend to much time there They need to make a place to stay down there. That’s awesome you live in CT. I grew up in Rhode Island. Actually, on Block Island.
