Have you ever cooked the sweetened condense milk in water covering the can with water? One hour keeping the can covered with water at a slow simmer. Let cool and open, the most wonderful caramel ever! Place a ring of pineapple in a small serving bowl, scoop out some caramel and place a spoonful of whip cream on the top. WONDERFUL

I've made a very similar no-bake pie using these ingredients, except that I squeeze a bit of lemon juice into the condensed milk. (You can't taste the lemon when it's done, but OMG...it thickens the condensed milk to an almost pudding-like texture--amazing!) I also use low-fat Cool Whip, pour it into a graham cracker crust and chill in the fridge (not freezer). It comes out light and absolutely delicious.

Now THAT makes more sense! I was trying to figure out what was the point of gently folding the pineapple mix into the cream when they ended up whisking it again once it was combined? Might as well go straight in with the whisk and get the job done in half the time 🤣
I’ve never whisked condensed milk so now I’m intrigued what the end result would be. Does it expand much in size like butter or soft cheese does when it’s whipped to within an inch of it’s life!?! 🤔

@@mikeblaz Contrary to popular belief, some canned fruits and veggies aren't as bad as they may seem. It is indeed true that some canned options have higher sodium, syrup or added sugar, and yes they can be bad.
However, there are caned goods out there without the muss & fuss nonsense. I myself love Tuna, and tend to get the canned version in water as opposed to uh.. .well you know, the ones drenched in preservative eww, lol.
Don't get me wrong either, I think it's absolutely necessary to get foods in case of crisis. Like when you're snowed in and it's simply impossible to traverse the outdoors because of Artic blasts dropping the temp in the negatives. Canned crap food, is better than no food. In some places deemed hazard zones or states or countries in a state of emergency, it can be seen as a Godsend.
All things have a place, If you've the ability and privilege to get fresh fruit, get it! I eat it when I can, and when I can't I opt for frozen, then canned. Have a lovely day, nice chatting with you!♥

Was the glass bowl pre chilled or the condensed milk refrigerated over night first? In different recipes when using condensed/ evaporated milk it was advised to do that so it would be fluffier. I love the idea of using my Popsicle molds for this too

😋Love this variation! My family doesn't like things to be too sweet, so I substitute the regular condensed milk for it's lower fat option. It still comes out the exact same way, just a little less sweeter. Regular has 22g of sugar, and the Low Fat has 12g of sugar.

@justalilloopy592 ☺️ You're incorrect about your comment. Regular Eagle brand condensed milk has 22g of sugar, and the Low Fat version has 12g of sugar. Making it 10g less sweet. If you're st not sure about my answer, it's really easy to look them both up. Happy cooking!
