I seriously can't thank Eric enough for bringing up Mark's faith. You can clearly see how happy and surprised Mark is when Eric talks about his speech thanking God during MAMA. Mark's faith in God is an inspiration to a lot of people and I honestly feel like he isn't aware of that. I pray that someday he'll be aware of how much we appreciate that side of him. Thanks Eric! 💚

pls hearing mark describe his parents as the typical asian family makes me, a fellow asian canadian in vancouver, feel so happy inside T-T he was just a regular asian kid like all of us and there's something so beautiful about it T-T and seeing eric as an asian american too. we're so fortunate to have them as role models and as representation growing up

Jisung listing Jeno as one of those who acts the youngest, and Haechan as one of those who acts the oldest are things you would never expect to hear. I love how despite being the baby of NCT, Jisung thinks very deeply and maturely.
I actually expected Haechan considering he is the oldest among his siblings and how he babies and takes care of Chenle and Jisung. But Jeno came as a cute surprise. We always see him as the one of the mature members of Dream and fans (+Chenle) joke about him being the father figure. It's cute to know that Jeno can still be like a kid with the Dreamies.
reminds me of when chenle said they bring the cute side of jeno cos fans only see jeno as the muscular person 😂 it's even funnier when haechan who always do aegyo but also is the hyung figure to jisung. i guess jaemin wasn't lying when jeno does act cute behind closed doors lol

Jisung saying Haechan is someone who acts like more of a Hyung to him because he's disciplined and taught him many things just proves that we don't get to see alot of how Haechan really is behind closed doors. He's known as the mood maker and baby-like member to the public, but I wish people would notice how kind hearted, thoughtful and strong he is. Like come on...Jisung Park said so himself!! TT U TT
When the question was asked, I instantly thought of Haechan. Glad that this assumption was confirmed. Can't agree more, he has a greatest heart, lot of empathy towards the members and a very hardworking attitude.

Renjun is really a born artist. The places his mind goes is really different from others. When you look at him, you can really see how much thought he is giving to every question and response. The way he expresses himself is just so beautiful.
I agree. I admire Renjun for the way he speaks. He’s so eloquent, genuine and sentimental. He gives great life advices so when I feel lost I try to go back to what he’s said in the past to clear my head.
One of my favourite advice from him is when a fan told Renjun that she was self-conscious of her height. His reply was like, “If we can’t change our physical appearance, we can change our perspective. If we wear filtered glasses where we see everything in a bad way, no matter how pretty something is, they would still look ugly. So instead, we should wear a good filter where everything is beautiful. When we fight with someone, we can think that we are bound to have fights to live alongside one another. So if you can’t change who you are, change your perspective. Think of yourself as a classy, confident and attractive person.” Because changing one’s perspective is the first step to self-love.

I feel like normally in other interviews Mark portrays this image of being the cute clumsy boy next door stereotype if that makes sense. However in this interview I really found a new respect for him as an artist. You can clearly see how passionate & work driven he is. Sometimes it seems like some fans downplay his talent & drive and just focus on how "cute" he is but I hope in the future he gets taken much more seriously as an artist.
Also I'm sure he's very passionate about rap it's really obvious that singing stripped down acoustic songs are where he truly wants to be. I hope in the future we get to see more of that side of him musically. *cough* SM *cough*
Anyways as always Eric Nam & Dive give us another podcast interview that includes questions with actual depth where we get to actually learn new things about idols. I would love to see Johnny & Jaehyun conduct an english interview bc they both also have really interesting backstories fans would love to know more about

that is so true. and I actually prefer mark english over johnny cos johnny seems to lisp a lot while he's speaking. so I was like what was he saying again...? I couldn't understand without eng sub 😅 and mark also speak at a decent pace which I prefer. some people talk too fast or too slow, but mark is just right

One of the things that makes me fall into NCT was Mark’s speech at MAMA’s thanking God. I was so impressed how that young boy had so strong faith. I LOVE NCT not only because their talent in almost every art but also for them as a human beings, everyone has a story background and every story teach us something.
