In fact burritos is a mexican food, but it's not a mexican thing because they don't actually eat it like most people assume. In every country there are foods that foreing countries take as stereotypes of local cuisine, when native people don't really eat them that often, or ever. For example sushi and stuff as commom japanese food, when in Japan most restaurants don't have it and japanese people don't eat it all the time like we imagine they do.
