You are, by far the best teacher I have ever come across anywhere, online or in person of any IT topic. Man you probably don't even realize how big a service you are doing to folks like us who scour through reams of documents and large contents on the internet just to get a grasp of these topics. THANK YOU!!!
Eli, I will always be indebted to you. Almost anytime that I have a system question, there you are with an Army styled point by point block of instruction on the subject. Thank you for all of the digestible, yet comprehensive content.
Almost 10 years and this course still one of the best courses out there on virtualisation. You give me the will to switch to IT everytime I watch your videos. Your way to teach things is amazing. You seek like a very nice guy
Eli, I've been working in the IT/communications field for over 20 years and I have to give you a really big "thumbs-up" on this video. I've learned all about VM's and all the animals it contains. You explain things very clearly, and in a very good pace. Kudos to you, keep up the great work!!
the beautiful thing about eli is ---- bloody hell seems like he is reading my sleepy mind and he repeats and recap everything, which I pick up even if I have missed anything during his first intro ---- one of the best teacher I came across in my whole life
Eli, I have watched a few of your video classes. They are simply great and great and you really have done a superb job, man! I have benefited tremendously from each of your video. Please do keep posting more of those videos. Thank you so much for putting out a genuine work on RUclips. Suresh, Ontario, Canada.
I truly enjoy Eli's lessons. He is great at explaining things in a simple way and he ties up information together beautifully, not to mention his indispensable repeat of vital information for the viewer to easily and quickly retain. His delivery is smooth and his manners are charming. Many thanks Eli!
Thank You so much Eli Sir. I am a fresher undergoing training in Cloud Computing in Capgemini. I always watch your videos before my assessments because you explain every topic crystal clear. You indeed are the best teacher on RUclips ! who follows the KISS principle..never bores.. and always helps me learn so much !
Wonderful, thank you so much :0 Most presentations, even lectures in real life, have zero redundancy and just blast through the material at incomprehensible pace. With yours, it's like... listen to it, okay, got it in one, woah. I actually understand the concept instead of just learning to parrot the words to describe it.
Huge Fan man,i remember having your "Introduction to networking video" that really got me more into starting my IT career! now I'm head of IT with knowledge in networking, Windows suit, Firewalls and getting into the cloud game and deploying OpenStack this month. Thanks a lot!
Well done, E! This helps me in my new IP Telephony sales job. You don't overwhelm, yet you don't leave any meat on the bones. Your approach is balanced. Thank you, Sir, it's much appreciated.
Hey Eli, I have always said that a good instructor should be able to explain a concept 4 or 5 different ways or how many times it takes for the learner to understand. Your really know this topic. It's the best explanation I've seen on virtual machines. Thanks !
Hi Eli, I'm Chinese, my English isn't so good, but I can understand what you're saying in this wonderful video, which is very straight and clearly explaining. Thanks very much.
This is a great video to learn the very basics of virtualization. I've been looking for something like this for weeks, everything seems to skip over the basics. I can now say I actually understand what a hypervisor is, before it was just a word I've heard many many times. It's a shame you're not the VMware CBTnuggets guy, you would rock!
@KevinDR1987 Outside of a highly virtualized environment this is correct. This type of virtualization is built to work this way. The server instances are not shut down. It's the physical servers that get powered on and off. As an aside I understand what they are saying, but be careful of taking it too literally. You should maintain your systems to a degree that you are 99% sure the things will come back on if you do a reboot. Windows Server 2008 isn't NT...
very good lessons for even a non-techie person. repeating of same things basically reinforce the idea/concept. excellent for introduction class. very clearly explained difference between cloud and virtualization. i will look for cloud class from him. great guy...thanks a lot.
Amazing teaching skills with having practical problems in mind. To the point and repetitiveness makes one easily understand the concept.. Kudos.. Eli !
This is the best IT video I have watched on youtube. If you can do tutorials in other aspects of IT like Business Intelligence, I won't hesitate to pay to get the tutorials. 58mins well invested
Eli , God Bless you for being so patient throughout the session. You definitely understand the importance of repeating key points on the subject which help the beginners like me a lot. I have a good understanding about what virtualization is to begin with and continue my journey of learning. Thank you :)
Fantastic teaching. Very down to earth and better than paying thousands to all these so-called Training Tech companies. Do you also have a donate button? Keep this alive and you are certainly impacting so many lives intellectually!
Eli, Thank you so much for taking the time to really break this down for us. You are the true meaning of an EFFECTIVE teacher - use simple terminology that normal people can understand, and that is key to learning - and now because your method, I really have a better understanding .. GREAT JOB bro!!!
Hey Eli , this is my first video of yours and i am going to continue with all he videos of yours. Thank you very much !! You have a great talent of injecting things into mind so clearly and easily, thank you very much man and a great thanks
This was an awesome video! I now feel like I have a mental framework to better learn the specifics of the many virtualization tools. Also, you are a natural teacher, and I really appreciate your starting with the big picture-- IMO this is critical, but often overlooked in tech training. Thanks so much for posting this!
I have been in IT for 18 years as a sys admin and the most important aspect of anything new in IT are the concepts. Yes, I understood basically what Virtualization is. I know what a Lun is. I know what a data store is. But some things I did not know. And when all these experts did their best at going over hyper v or VMware basics, they were not communicating irtulization concepts but were only communicating features of the software. So the concepts that I didn't know interfered with my learning. Not one person I met at these conferences was adequate at communicating basics. People, if you don't understand the basics, forget it. Also, never let your ego persuade you on learning from the most rudimentary level. Its one thing that has helped me immensely. I am never ever afraid to be a 1st grader all over again and in fact, I embrace it. Its actually fun. Eli is like a 1st grade teacher that I needed to find before I could move on. Now I have a much better understanding at going through the VMware hands on labs because now I understand the vital concepts. I really look forward in finding some more videos that Eli shares.
mark kenter Professors, instructors are not your best friend. They're there to make money. If you ever challenge their intellect on different subjects, they'll be just as loss as you are, unless they're proficient in many subjects. You can always give them a poor rating if they are a a** hole professor/instructor.
Really enjoyed this. Clear explanations and clear enunciation. Well structured. The level of detail remained the same throughout. Working in IT Service operations I need to know a lot computing concepts
Hello Eli, in case you are still reading the comments on RUclips.... I have a paper to write about virtualization, and so far, nothing is as clear as your videos to summarize all the information I am actually looking for. I will most definitely quote you in my paper, but if you have any suggestion for a book or another type of papers about the subject of virtualization, I would take it happily ! Most of the papers I found are very specialized, and the book I read about OS (and their chapter on virtualization) are most often only talking about the type 2 of hypervisor ! You made things so clear. Anyway, if you don't have time I still thank you a lot for your videos, you are a great story teller and that makes your explanations about computing beautifully accessible. Many thanks
Thank you so much. The information was very helpful. I was online yesterday looking for a good book to pruchase on virtualization. I decided to check out RUclips and came across your videos. They have helped so much.
hi eli! u r doing a great service to the humanity at large man! keep it up :) yes indeed, many people especially it-youngsters & it-start-ups are truly benfitted by ur it-class-videos. plz ignore those people who give u negative/offensive comments/feedbacks but go ahead doing what u think is good 4 u & 4 all. i wish u all d best :)

The beauty of Eli is that his "ability to explain the technology and pass it to others in a very easy and understandable way" .
