    4:15 That cap and the whole box is supposed to mimic a competition/racing style fuel cell, a glorified gas tank. They are stoutly built to prevent punctures, resist damage, and ultimately prevent fires. *In case anyone was wondering.

    I've made my own 1/18 roll cage crawler. It looks very closed to the Lemur. The way i designed the suspension system is simple : no shock at all.
    Instead, one piece of string connecting each axle to the chassis. So, the axles can't fall down (and the drive shafts can't pop out).
    On the rocks, it works incredibly well. The cross axle angle is about 60°. Just try this tip on your Lemur.😉

    Absolutely fantastic mods. It looks so good now, and after watching MCCT #35 it has the performance to match. Much better stretched to a FCX18….this is the Lemur FMS should have made.
    The lowered light bar, matte black paint, bumperless front, chrome links and servo, comp tires…….😍🤩👍👏

      Thank you... but still... shocks - no solution for this ;-)
      Cage urgently needs more shock mount options.

    Great video! I love my lemur. It's a very underrated truck.

    Good information. I love my FCX24’s and would really like to get a crawler style like the Lemur but it is the first FCX that I think they did wrong. I wish they would do a v2 and fix some of the mistakes they made on the Lemur. Probably won’t happen sadly. Since you can get the Hobby Plus Evo Pro for only a bit more money, I don’t think even a sale on the Lemur would tempt me.

      Totally agree... a FCX18 Lemur would be the way to go.

    That's excellent 😊 awesome mods for the lemur..... like you say people hate it but I quite like the looks especially the one you built..... I was wondering..... are those panels lexan?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you.
      No - do not know the material, but I think this is not lexan, thicker than the "normal lexan" of micros. Inner side is painted with a kind of white, so material should be transparent. It is quite easy to make custom panels, did already cut those from matt plastic, but finally not use, because it was not so easy to bend the hood - so painted the "stock panels".

    0:40 You can certainly do an unboxing--we value your opinion over those other guys who get theirs for free. The slow and dramatic cut-open-the-box and sliiiiiide the product out gets tedious so you could shorten that if you wish. Anyway those other RUclipsrs have nothing but good things to say about their freebies and they are not real hobbyists in my view, just commercial product shills... 🙄

    I'm curious if the enjora pins would work any better because there's more pins

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  6 месяцев назад +1

      Lol - me, too ;-) - one day I will mount them and try them, they are still in their bag. They cannot be better on wood ;-) - but maybe in test 2 and 9.

      @@donaldsneffe yea I only have the injora pins and really like them. I'm thinking maybe the little bit more rubber on the surface may help

    • @donaldsneffe

      @@charlieshankles I had both out and checked them and finally found the OGRC look better for this style of buggy, guess they are also larger than my Injora Pins (have the small ones), and so I chose the OGRCs ;-)
      Today I received the Hobby Plus 1.2 rims and 1.2 crawler tires (very difficult to mount ;-) ) - guess they would look very good, too, and perform very well.
      And sooooo many others... (have tons here) - too many new tires to test all.
      Every month a new "best/favourite tire" out there ;-)
      This started for micros with the Proline Hyrax 1.0 about 2 years ago. Before this there were "only" RC4WD 1.0 (I had/have nearly all types) and very few others, mostly no good ones. Then Hyrax 1.0 and the newer Injora tires, always new ones, and better, ... and now, so many new brands, tires, ... impossible to follow for the last two years.

    Good day! FMS Lemur is equipped with R3A receiver+esc. I've read that it's capable of controlling brushless motors (Applicable Motors: 2030 Brushless Motor). Is it true? Did you try any motor with these R3A receivers? It's the same on Lemur, K5 Blazer and Smasher.

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  6 месяцев назад

      No, it is not capable of controlling brushless motors, only brushed motors.

    • @Hjerte_Verke
      @Hjerte_Verke 4 месяца назад

      That is an interesting concept, a sort of One Ring Rules Them All (an ESC that can drive brushed and brushless motors) but it would be a niche item I think.
