  • Pechakucha Night Burlington (or “PKN Burlington”) is a visual storytelling event that celebrates the creative power and diversity of our community here in Burlington, across Vermont, and beyond. Drawing its name from the Japanese word for the sound of “chit chat,” Pechakucha (pronounced petch-aa koo-chaa) is a worldwide phenomenon that began over 15 years ago in Tokyo, and that can now claim regular events in over 1,000 cities across the globe.
Since our inception in 2010, we’ve hosted 35 (and counting!) Pechakucha nights, featuring over 260 unique presentations. The Pechakucha format uses a quick and concise 20×20 presentation that allows each presenter to show 20 images for 20 seconds. Presenters share their stories as the images transition automatically. Every presentation lasts just 6 minutes and 40 seconds. We are beyond grateful to the Pechakucha Night Burlington committee members, our past presenters, you our community, and our loyal sponsors Mascoma Bank, the Media Factory, and solidarity of Unbridled Labour for the space and support to be able to return to Flynn Space.
PECHAKUCHA NIGHT Burlington is sponsored by Mascoma Bank and supported by Solidarity of Unbridled Labour and the Media Factory. Presented quarterly in downtown Burlington.

PechaKucha Night (PKN) is a worldwide phenomenon that began in 2003 in Tokyo. It offers the opportunity for a broad range of participants to present their projects, ideas, and passions at a fun, informal, and fast-paced gathering. Drawing its name from the Japanese word for the sound of "chit chat," PKN uses a quick and concise 20 x 20 presentation format that allows presenters to show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. Presenters describe their project as the images forward automatically.
