Detective Sam Swarek | Rookie Blue

Sam Swarek is a detective who is known for following his instincts instead of the book. Sam was formerly an undercover officer, but his cover was exposed when Andy McNally arrested him, believing him to be a suspect. He returns to 15 Division as Andy's training officer, awaiting a position to open up in Guns and Gangs. Undeniable sparks soon begin to fly between Andy and Sam and the rest is history. For the first four seasons, Sam shares little about his personal life, it’s only in season five that he opens up to Andy about his difficult childhood and relationship with his estranged father, Jay Swarek. Andy and Sam have an on-again-off-again relationship throughout the show, but officially rekindle their love in season 5, prompting Sam to propose in season 6.
