I'm Peter from Frankfurt am Main, Germany and I bought the Al Mighty with spikes for my front wheel. Here we often have slush that freezes overnight or freezing rain where nothing works without spikes. Have you ever fallen on ice with spiked tires? I would be very happy to hear your description if you could write me a few words about it. Ever since I fell on a fat bike with spikes, I know that when I'm an old man, I'll ride a fat bike! These wide tires definitely protect against broken bones!😉
Hi graham, nice video. I want to ask u if i can fit these almighty tires on a 26x4.0 rims, so it will be 4.8 widt on 4.0 rims? And do i also need a new inner lube or tire or can i use the 4.0 one on the 4.8?
I run these arkel.ca/collections/bike-panniers/products/orca-panniers?variant=42881456734457 and theres no issues, the Bow ti has long chainstays so no need to worry
Great review and the camera work and mix of shots at 3:40 is lovely 🙌👍

Be interesting to compare with Bud and Lou in our usual mix of weathers.
Much better if grip is what ypu want
How tall is the tire (OD measurement)? Curious if it will fit in a Bluto fork or no.........
I'll video it tomorrow

Thank you so much for this review! Do you by chance know the width (including knobs) of this tyre on these DT Swiss rims that you are using?
4.7"
@@GrahamFootBicycleLover Thank you!!
@@GrahamFootBicycleLover Not quite get it, you have told in review it was 4.5".

Good day, Hello from Russia ! The Stans no tube, not harmless for rims? I,m heard that it make rust on a alloy rims
No, no problems at all. All rims are aluminium and Stans is the most popular
@@GrahamFootBicycleLover great thanks
How would you compare these to the Maxxis tyre?
If you want grip they are so much better, more compliant
And bigger.
What website? Not linked from this video or on main video list. Availability of “Al Mighty” is zero for ordinary folk.

Anybody know who’s selling studded versions in U.K.
Most Schwalbe dealers should be able to order them
I think its probably the "Al" like the name of a guy Mighty, given all their stuff is pseudo-names.
