Lyrics (also included in the video)
We see you in the distance as your weapon glistens
We hold our breath, we wait and listen
My end has come and I welcome glory
No one will know the truth to this story
The iron in my chest is not beating
It's burning - and smoking - and turning
I know what's coming... I asked it here
And with it the rain and thunder - electricity
Everything changes - tonight.
Crashman paces back and forth
Inside walls reinforced
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down.
Crash bombs mounted to his arms
Locked... loaded... ready... armed.
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down.
Closer draws the final hour
To break Wily's walls you will need my power
But to your aid, an unlikely friend
Programmed to fight till the very end!
A fitting death.
My hands are gone,
replaced by fire.
and intent.
Soiled in their conception.
A whistle.
An omen.
The breath stops. Mine?
Time for battle?
Yes.
Crashman paces back and forth
Inside walls reinforced
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down.
Crash bombs mounted to his arms
Locked... loaded... ready... armed.
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down.
And so they fought.
The clash of metal and grinding gears echoed across the night sky.
Victory was at hand
But in the end... his will overcame the program.
Down falls Crashman...

I like this a lot, it gives the feeling that Crash Man don't even want to fight, in fact, he HATES Wily, and knows that Megaman is the only one who can stop him, and also that he needs his power to do so, but he's programmed to fight against his will - But in the end, he breaks free of the coding, and chooses death rather than slavery.
Well done, Megas, such a story.
Good job at decoding it. What do you think Metal and wood mans are about?
@@SakugaAsu Metal Man's just seems to be about him ranting on and on about how powerful he is and that Mega Man can't stop him.
I always liked crash man in that he would only attack when provoked into doing so. Otherwise, he's just doing his nightly exercises
I had no idea you could do that. I'll hafta try it out next time I go after him.
bezoticallyyours83
If you haven't done it yet it only works on the Japanese Version "Rockman"(I'm playing the Legacy Collection for X box one)
Mothra Leo the Divine Moth oh
the best part of the song is
"Crashman paces back and forth
Inside walls reinforced
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down.
Crash bombs mounted to his arms
Locked... loaded... ready... armed.
Gotta gotta get out of this town
Gotta bring that Wily down."
In my opinion
CRASHMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN
He is. This song has lyrics that tell that he actually called Mega Man to him, so he could have his suffering ended and so Mega Man could use his power to break down Wily's walls. He also sings of how he's trapped forever, pacing back and forth in a reinforced room; he can't get revenge on Wily himself, despite the incredible power in his arms. His programming forces him to fight Mega Man, and he nearly kills the Blue Bomber, but through seer willpower, he overcomes his own programming.
I love this one. In the end, Crashman actually had Mega Man. Crash Man had done what his brothers could not, he had beaten Mega Man. His victory, WILY'S victory was at hand. But Wily's own, faulty programming within Crash Man made him hesitate, made Crash Man stay his hand, giving Mega Man the opportunity to take Crash Man out... To the relief of Crash Man. In the end, Crash Man actually got what HE wanted, and can rest knowing the Wily will fall in the end.
(singing along) Crash! Let's do it...
-Wait, WRONG SONG! >__
Done that millions of times....
It's amazing how they put a personallity on every robot master, for exemple, Crashman is the most concious and the kindest robot (the best either).
that's what I like about The Megas: they make it clear that neither side is the definitive bad side.
At the line "an unlikely friend" I always picture on of those half visible images (you see when someone is kinda speaking telepathically or something) of Crash Man back to back with Mega Man
this song made crashman my favorite megaman 2 robot master, dude deserves more respect!
I call this...
*Put on Sunglasses*
Rock.
You make fighting Crashman look so easy. He almost always blows me apart unless I use Airman's weapon on him. And this music will be stuck in my head for a few days now.
My favourite robot master is Crash man and these guys Are the best band ever. *MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE YAY!!!*
I read somewhere that crashman was made from gutsman and bombman, and that makes him bipolar
I believe that was in his CD card, but I don't quite remember. It's definitely in Archie Comic though, as evidence as when he first met Mega Man.
actually he has the strenght of gutsman and the destructive power of bomb man
1:16 SLICK ASS DODGE
Crash maaaan
Gotta love the bass & solos of this song, they're just so fantastic
"Ready? Let's go!" From that intro, you just KNOW the song's EPICWIN!
If I might offer a counter point, I disagree with the assessment that the Robot Masters joined Wily. This song in particular tells of Crash Man being tortured by Wily, and how Crash Man wants Wily dead, so he helps Mega Man. Air Man's song tells how Wily made a monster out of him by giving him only the power to push others away, cursing him to a life of loneliness. Bubble Man's song tells of a robot programmed with an inferiority complex, one that drives him to jealousy and hatred.
I realized recently that the lyric "Victory was at hand, But in the end... his will overcame the program," is in reference to Crash Man keeping himself from defeating Mega Man, which was his program. The Megas' songs are just very profound.
@bluefrogman2000 Seeing how Crash man describes it as "the final hour" and he says that to break Wily's walls "You will need my power", Crash man was probably the last robot master to fall, and definitely the strongest of them all. "Victory was at hand, but in the end, his will overcame the program" indicates that Crash man was strong enough to defeat Mega man, but just as he was about to lay the final crash bomb, his human side overtook the programming, and he killed himself.
I can just see the last scene
Crash Man stands poised to win, back to the edge, Mega Man at his mercy. Then, his will finally prevails, he drops two crash bombs, and falls back, hanging on the ledge. Mega offers his hand, but Crash wants to end his shame. He leaves his chip, then drops.
Crash Man knows that he is basically screwed,He knows Dr.Wily wants to take over,He wants megaman to win.
this is one of my favorite ones it seems like crash man knows he must die and he accepts it but he will not do it without a fight
He is the robot master that will pierce the heavens!
I always thought that Wily was the bad side,
but the Robot Master's themselves are more grey-sided.
i don't know much about megaman but i like crashman a lot
also why has nobody pointed out megaman going "O_O" when watching him run around
@TheAwesomeRacoon It's also implied in Quick Man's song that his defeat takes place in the Wild West. I think the Megas used their imagination quite alot with these songs.
You made this comment 11 months ago, so I'm a bit late to respond. This song is about Crash Man being tortured by Wily; Crash Man paces back and forth in a reinforced room, all alone, with his hands removed and replaced with weapons. It tells how Mega Man will need Crash Man's power to break down Wily's walls, and how Crash Man nearly defeated Mega Man, but through sheer willpower Crash Man overcame his own programming and sacrificed himself to help Mega Man defeat Wily.
Man, I love the way this song finishes with the thunder and rain! 2:48
Drills for hands! No *HAANDSS*
just who the hell do you think he is!
Well, that makes sense. These songs are supposed to be sung from the Robot Masters' perspectives, and the Megas gave them all distinct personalities despite that fact that, in actuality, they're just programmed by Wily to cause trouble. Artistic interpretation (yes, I consider video games art) at its finest indeed. Here, the Robot Masters mostly joined Wily willingly for various reasons, and to them, it looks like Mega Man is ruining their dreams by killing them and all the other robots.
EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY!!!
THE MEGAS!!
VS!!!
. . .THE PROTOMEEEEEEEN!!!!
CRASHMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
I always thought the acoustic version was more fitting, but this version still is fine
he is. he was made to be evil, but became good.
@Dstorm20xx
You got that right.
Crashman didn't want to follow Wily's reprogramming, so he forced himself to pace back and forth so Megaman could defeat him. The retaliatory shots are a programmed reaction.
What was originally poor AI has been reinterpreted as a fairly deep character trait.
I lol'd so hard at bug-eyed Mega Man.
You know, I thought of something... when you fight Crashman, he has a special trick: if you shoot he jumps out of the way, then fires a bomb. It's like a program. Now think about that in light of this song. "Programmed to Fight."
You make these songs sound like all of Wily's robots had some love affair with Megaman and are now scorned angry lovers...
Just Crashman, THE BEST robot master
Outside of a game store near my house, there is a sign that says "Mega deals!" with a picture of Mega Man X.
Both that and what you just said are horrible jokes, but I smile every time I see them.
Holy shit I love these guys.
Not to mention that Crashman hates the wind. 2 shots from Airman's weapon toasts him in the GCN Easy Mode
Makes sense. They were like that in the comic, too. But I imagine them to be more hostile, at least to him.
"Created by a killer...me and my brothers were built for destruction. Our only purpose is to kill Mega Man. But shouldn't that be our decision?
All he causes is the genocide of our own kind. His kind. Robots. Maybe this isn't the life I chose...but it's the one I'll live.
Mega Man will die by my hands."
^I think I'm going to finish writing that as a Mega Man fanfic.
not bad actually makes him look like one of the good guys
Awesome video, you sir are partly the reason I got into The Megas, stand proud.
As for a request I have 2; Be the one or Promise of redemption.
Yet again that might be how many people in the past thought themselves as heroes in wars never thinking of what they did or how they protected or conquered kingdoms for their own. So it might not be so unrealistic.
its i gotta take that wily down the first time not bring that wily down
I imagine Crash Man could hook his arm at an angle, or burrow a drill into the framework.
Don't think about it too hard and just enjoy the song.
There's a real Cake vibe to this one I enjoy.
@TheAwesomeRacoon Oh, no doubt about that. My favourite is probably either Air Man's or Heat Man's. I quite like Metal Man's... but Air Man's has the whole 'THERE'LL BE A TOMBSTONE WITH THE PLANET EARTH ENGRAVED ON IT!' and Heat Man's just has an awesome chorus.
If you decided to join the Army for the sake of a cause you thought was right, and a lone enemy soldier started killing all of your squadmates, wouldn't you think he was a bad guy? He's a person too, you know. He's just doing what he thinks is right, and so were you. There's no such thing as someone that everyone can agree is a "bad guy". There's at least two sides to everything.
Megaman is an innocent victim and tool to the real evil...Dr. light!
No. The robot masters were programmed by Dr. Wily but they still have free wills and emotions. In Crashman's case he does not want to fight Megaman but his programming forces him to. It is an inner battle between his programming to fight Megaman VS his free will that wishes to help Mega stop Wily's mad schemes. Just listen to the line,
"But in the end... his will overcame the program". While he could not stop himself completly, he was however able to hold back enough so Megaman could win.
OOH CRASHMAN! (clicks thumbnail-computer crashes)
perfect timing for the ready lets go part 10/5 in stars
Woah, there. They still need to finish History Repeating:Red before they even think about 10.
This was quite excellent, and I enjoyed it very much.
As for a request... either Hornet Man or Wily Machine (MM10).
beautiful man
@ShadowdaHedgie11 "I can't defeat Air Man" makes him badass, but it doesn't reach "Then I will walk the earth alone" levels.
so good
....and Simon Belmont destroys those poor, poor zombies :'(
its really good
Awesome
NO NO NO this is megamanz he prob liked it for a gaming reason
crashman seems happy to die at least by megaman's hand
i like it!!
I dunno, I think they suck delicious root beer as well. (It helps fuel their glorious, GLORIOUS music.)
You know, some of these videos really make me think mega man is a bad guy.
actually the robot masters have emotions and their own will, the reason they fight megaman is simply because theyre loyal to wily
Poor crashman, I know how it feels.
you got bombs instead of arms?
Amaury Iglesias, no, he HAS no arms. Yep!
I think the lyric is actually 'everything changes... to night.' Referring to how, halfway through the stage, the sky changes to a night sky.
Well, some of them are. Like Woodman specifically says
"And I would, if I could
Destroy
All that's good."
Seems pretty much definitively bad to me XD
Also, Airman, while he does feel outcast and has his reasons, seems pretty evil. I mean, his goal in Annihilation of Monsteropolis is to kill literally everything else in the world.
>a girl (implied single)
>loves megaman
Marry me please.
I think I can take or leave this one. It's not great, but its not terrible.
I love this song, its my new favorite one! Would have been better if you were on 1 hit left to die when it said "victory was at hand." and then when it said "But in the end... his will overcame his program" you let him run back and forth like before and then kill him in 1 shot when it says "down falls crashman." other than that its fucking epic.
@cutman15 Oh wow, that's really interesting. o-o Thanks for the reply! :D
Smash. .uff said
ah come on! cut him some slack, he gets enough flak with everyone thinking hes gay... (even though he is obviously the MOST masculine robot master ever...I mean he has drills that double as bombs for ARMS!)
1:52, if you fight airman first, you can use item 2 to get the e-tank and the extra life
@OnyxLeo If you don't shoot, he paces back and forth, rarely attacking, I find it funny to see people "dancing" with him
@ShadowdaHedgie11 It's implied in the song that Crash Man is against Wily's ideas.
I agree MavByte
My favorite one is crash man for ....well....everything!
The unofficial theme of The Hunger Games.
@TheAwesomeRacoon I dunno if they made him THAT much more bad-ass... have you seen the music video for 'I Can't Defeat Air Man'? That makes him HUGELY badass.
sa déchire
Because I class one guy knocking out a terrorist as an all out millitary-grade assault on a factory or whatever.
first time i heard it i thought it was Cake too!
I tried to give this band a chance tonight. But from all I've heard, it's a pretty simple and formulated music. Good once every song, but I can't find a replay value or anything more than literal play by play. Lots of potential to go deep with metaphors; but the chances are passed up.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 And that's what makes them so awesome!
2:08 Lol
This song hell of reminds me of cake, that band.
@HyperKenny1991 Yeah, I played a very little bit of it but still remember the robot masters. ^^
This seems really inspired by Cake... Anyone else hear it? Its not a bad thing, in fact it's great! :D
Thanks.
I wish the game footage wasn't stretched but in it's original aspect ratio :(
Because he IS. Do you think there are no reprecussions to all out military-grade assaults on power plants, forest preserves, heat generators and foundries, factories, marine facilities, mines, research stations, etc
If only it did...
@mattwo7 I think it's Crashman's theme, because it shows him at the start.
0:47 is literally my favorite part!
