      Fantastic! Yeah, we played it as kids and loved it. My favourite game. Great that you'll be playing with your child. You may want to know that Fantasy Flight have stopped making the 4th edition now so the expansions have been selling for crazy prices. There is talk of Games Workshop publishing a brand new 5th edition but there's no more news yet. Thanks for watching our episodes. By the way, we've created a Facebook GROUP where fellow imps hang out and chat about fantasy. You can also post things up for discussion. If you search for The Bottled Imp Fellowship, click on the Join button and I'll add you in.

    I love Warhammer and D&D, het I never heard of this game. So, when the digital version was on sale, me and my xbox buddies gave it a try. In a period of 2 months I've had countless, multi-hour long sessions of wheezing laughter and cheeky interactions. Truly an amazing game.

    11:19 - This is incorrect. If you win a battle against another player you can take one life, one object or one gold. You can't take a follower unless playing by your own house rules (or unless you kill them obviously).

    I've only played twice and didn't finish either time, but it's a great game. Feels really immersive (maybe because I was drinking) and building up your character made it feel like a video game.

    Flipping heck, I remember reading this but forgot all about it and you have also answered my question spot on as always.
    This game is incredibly brilliant, so simple yet so involved and as for the cards, I just love the way they are written and they're so brilliantly thought up. I am playing tonight with the main board (obviously) and also the Highlands, Woodlands as well as our good old mate "The Grim Reaper" and venturing all 3 boards... Brilliant night 😊 On Sunday I am buying 2 pasting tables, a 6ft X 4ft board and using all 4 expansions and a hidden alternative ending, yep it's gonna be a long day, but a fantastic one. Brilliant reply as always, many thanks 😊

      Lol, yeah, there are quite a few rules to remember. We still refer back to the Rule Books to double check things. There are also good websites and forums that cover tricky rules. And yes, you'll need a big table with all the expansions! Good luck!

    I love Talisman! I was introduced to it as an adult by a friend who grew up with the 2nd edition (I think) and it served as my introduction to role playing. As a result, while playing with them, there are actions I won't take based on my alignment (for example, if I'm good, I won't attack another good character) and I love to just let my character do their thing even if, as a player, I know it's a bad idea (like going against a much stronger monster because my characters is good but naive).
    Thanks for the review!

    Thank you for this review. I have difficulty finding good reviews for the game, but I don't know why. I love the exploration aspect of this game to the point of changing the rules a bit to find as many magic objects or get 7 magic objects and the talisman before going to the Inner Region, just so I can explore more. There are people that do not like the game--but I think they could probably modify it a little to remove what they don't like. Thank you again!

    Ah, memories! I fondly remember playing the first edition around the time it first came out. It was a good game to play with friends and family who probably weren't quite ready for hardcore RPGs or more advanced board games. I recently played the iPad version of the game, which served as a decent nostalgia trip. Anyone else who's on the fence about shelling out for the full board game might like to try the digital version first to get a feel for the game's mechanics.

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  10 лет назад

      Hi Mark! Thanks for watching my review. Yes, lots of memories. That was the reason we got back into it. Still as good as ever. Yeah, D&D always seemed too complex and a game you needed a lifetime to master before you understood it let alone enjoy it. Talisman was a good game to jump into and play yet still giving you the fantasy fix. Playing with all the expansions has taken it to another level now - it's more of a day event that a couple of hours! Good point about playing it digitally first - get a good feel for it. Nice one.

      +Hyper Combo Finish
      Hi Hyper. Welcome to the joy of Talisman! Yes, the reason why the expansions are now getting to be silly prices is because Games Workshop withdrew Fantasy Flights licence to make the game. So they've stopped making the 4th Edition and therefore the only copies left are those in the shops. Games Workshop have announced they will be publishing a 5th Edition later this year.

    Good to finally see a fantastic review of my favourite board game, I have been an avid fan of the game for over a decade and have most of the expansions. I have recently introduced it to my 3 children and they completely love the experience, especially as we role play our characters, nothing more hillarious than someone picking up the hag and loosing their unicorn or being turned into a slimy toad :) will you be doing anymore Talisman reviews Ken? and have you seen the news for the next big box expansion, Cataclsym, it completely replacing the main board with a new one how awesome is that. Anyway keep up the good work :)

    Hi Ken, I hope you had a good weekend 😊 I did actually spend 6 hours with my granddaughter on Sunday using the 5 Talisman boards as well as the Grim Reaper. Although we only concluded an ending when Crystals character got killed, we did actually manage to venture through all the 4 large corner expansions and got to know the game a lot better. Neither of us succeeded in beating the expansion endings, but still had a brilliant time, which left me agreeing with you... 12 hours is a guide to completing the full game, but that's without any of the alternative endings.Playing with and explaining the game to a 6yr old, really does slow everything down, but I really don't care, she's so grown up and she finds the characters sooooo exciting.I ended up using a 9mm sheet of mdf 5ft X 4ft, which leaves plenty of comfy room around the edges for excess cards.A question for you, I came across a dungeon card called "Pied Piper" which read... Roll 2 dice and move the Piper that many spaces clockwise around the board. Do I assume that when it moves as far as it can which is the "Lord of Darkness" square, that it gets discarded at that point.One last thing Ken, when I packed the game up, I thought it a good idea to have another read through the rules to see if I was missing anything. I realised that you can only use each spell once. I thought spells were for keeps till you were made to lose them. I had used the same spell numerous times and wondered why 😆So there you go, as long as we keep playing, we keep learning.Kind regards,Terry

      Had a good weekend thanks. Visited my brother and we had fun playing Dead of Winter for the first time! Sounds like you had an epic Talisman session! Nice! Impressed that your 6 year old granddaughter played. As for the Pied Piper card; it's from The City expansion and should only be drawn from The City expansion deck and therefore the Pied Piper would not get stuck as The City expansion movement is in a continuous loop. The only way I can think he ended up in The Dungeon and thus got stuck at the end was if an Event card made players draw City cards whiles in The Dungeon. If that's the case, I would just leave him left on The Dark Lord space with any Enemies that he has collected along the way for players to encounter. If on Enemies were collected then just encounter the space. Hope that's clear! Yes, spells are all one shot deals unless stated otherwise. I think there is a spell that let's you pick up the last discarded spell to use again but all spells can be held and used when you would like when it says to use them. Yeah, always good to read the rules from time to time!

      Hi Chris,
      Thanks for your kind words about the Talisman review. Yeah, we played this as kids too. It was the first board game I played that wasn't like any other board game. Hours of fun as some games go on for 8 hours!
      Would definitely recommend buying it. Probably best to start with the base game as there are now lots of expansions that add more complexity to it so that might be a bit overwhelming. But if I was to suggest a good expansion to buy with the base game, it would be The Reaper Expansion. This is a mini expansion that is really easy to understand but will add a little more excitement to the base game. I’ll be reviewing all of the expansions in time so hopefully they’ll be of help to you and your gaming group.
      Once again thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing. If there is any fantasy book, film/TV or board game you’d like me to review, I’m always up for suggestions.

    As for the additional RUclips channel, I always believe that you can never have enough information and help, so I shall be taking a look at that one as well.
    Then I shall be spending a couple of weeks working out which characters to paint and in which order, as my paint stock is seriously limited and count down to my holiday is under way (need to stop spending on my precious hobby and collect some spending money for Malta, but very tempted to buy the complete paint set on my return... Expensive I know, but I also call it false economy 😆

      @thebottledimp  9 лет назад +1

      2,5 hours, for us, would be a short game! Other factors for the board game are number of players and how many expansions you play with. Obviously the more players and expansions, the longer it takes to play. We make a day of it!

      @trentbear2044 9 лет назад

      +Stu Barfoot Nah it's a long game. Always has been. Not sure where they got the play time on the box for. There isn't much time difference in playing the Board/Digital version as there isn't really any accounting downtime, both play at pretty much the same pace.

    • @trentbear2044
      @trentbear2044 9 лет назад

      +The Bottled Imp I've always been of the impression that the expansions (Apart from the dragon one that created more for the finish in 3rd ed at least) speed the game up slightly as it makes it easier for people to target some of the upgrades they are after.All in all the time difference with or without expansions isn't huge though.Player count definitely adds time though.

    I've been following your videos on Talisman (haven't really played yet, but I really like when board games go digital; I like how much faster the setting up is without losing the core of the game); anyway, one thing I noticed (first video I watched from the playlist was the Druid's) that there's an ungodly amount of dice rolling on this one. Maybe you haven't played the game in digital form, but if you have, can you comment on the fairness of dice rolls by the AI?
    If you haven't, can you in general please comment on the luck vs. skill factor's weight in this game?

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  4 года назад +2

      Thanks for watching Kenshiro. Yes, Talisman on the whole is a dice rolling game. That's it's main mechanic. I've played the digital version and have Dodd a review of it plus a play through too. I like it. The fairness of the AI dice rolling when the digital game first came out was a bit unfair so the developers changed that so it's a more fairer system. For me I like chucking dice so I just have fun rolling the dice and let randomness take it's course. There his strategy involved and you can try to take some randomness out of the game by using Fate tokens but certainly there is randomness of dice rolls involved.

    I love Talisman, both for nostalgic reasons and because it still stands as a great fun game! I now play it with my 7 year old son, who can handle most of the rules (manufacturer's recommendation of 14+ seems a bit high). We often play with revealed spells, until he gets to know how to play them. Can anyone recommend any other "adventure" themed games that work with kids of this age?

      Same for me. Lots of fond memories playing Talisman as a kid. Still lots of fun to be had years later!
      Welcome to the Dungeon is a good little game that will be easy to learn and play for your son. It's a fun push-your-luck game where players choose whether or not to put monsters into the dungen, if they remove a monster they also have to remove a piece of equipment from the Adventurer who eventally will go through the dungeon to fight said monsters. It's quick to play too. Check out our for it ruclips.net/video/Knmdz9GGlsk/видео.html
      Also, Once Upon A Time is a story-telling card game where players have to tell a story using certan cards in their hand. Really good fun and good for the imagination. The artwork is beautful. Have a look at our review on The Dice Tower channel ruclips.net/video/S9KoT-idN34/видео.html

    Say you stand at the church and roll six, can you go up to the middle region (fighting the knight on the way) or do you need to roll 2 and land on the Knight and then fight and on your next turn roll die and move up?

    Hi Ken, back again :-)) and a question on fate tokens please.
    I've seen this answer somewhere and believe it was from your good self, but that was a long long time ago. Both sides have a light and dark colour and I think its something to do with, light side for me, dark side for other characters, but can you confirm this and any other rules and if its from yourself, where have I seen it before.
    I have the four large expasions, as well as The Frostmarch, Reaper, Blood Moon, Firelands and Harbinger small expansions and I have checked all of the instructions and cannot find this answer anywhere, but I'm sure it was yourself that answered this in one in one of your excellent videos.

    Not a bad game, (I've got all the 3rd ed stuff), but it's still at it's core a roll and move game. I find it takes a couple of hours to play through with 4 players, so it's not just the BottledImp team that goes over the time to play on the box.Great intro game or beer and pretzels game but it is missing a level of depth for anything more. Generally I prefer my lighter games to play a little quicker. That aside, it fun to play occasionally.

    Awesome review! I just bought the game yesterday. Maybe you can answer me- why does the game (4th edition) comes with 6 dices? You roll just one dice each turn, do you need all of them for playing the game or are they're for spare parts?

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Sasabe. I'm not sure what Fantasy Flight officially say but the game is for 2 to 6 players so if 6 players play, they can have a dice each to roll. Plus sometimes a player may have to roll two or three dice at the same time. Just makes it easier than rolling one die three times.

      @@davetherave3511 that doesn't make any sense at all. A game is a game. Plenty of board games have been adapted to video games. It's your preference, but the mechanics of the game hold up. Especially Talisman. It's a fantasy role-playing game where you pick or randomly get a character to play and do a run to the center of the board against npc or real players. You collect gear and level up stats a long the way. There it's basically a rogue lite lol.

      @@davetherave3511 there's no sense really in arguing with someone that is is irrational and unaware as you are but I'll try lol. You should never use blanket statements about games and people interactions. Obviously too much gaming is potentially bad for an individual for x amount of reasons but most things in moderation is okay.
      Also board games are good for in person social interaction which I actually stated I preferred in my original comment, and only was applauding the fact I could play the game long distance with my friends who moved to other states.
      To assume that computer/console games are not good interaction with other people is ridiculous as well. You clearly have never played an MMO or other team based multiplayer games where you and your friends get together in a virtual space, communicate and try to beat the challenges the games present.
      But in general, I was merely stating that fundamentally the game design of a board game, can translate very well into a video game. The difference being that the video game version of Talisman for example is faster paced because the game does certain things automatically and knows the rules so you and your friends don't argue over them lol

    Hi Ken, I've searchrd all of the cards and cannot work out what makes a character change into a toad, can you shed some light please. All I can see is rolling a 1 in the City. I thought it was if you rolled a 1 for movement, but that's what wakes the Reaper up

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  6 лет назад

      HI Terry, normally getting turned into a toad happens to a character rather than a character being able to turn into a toad. It's normally when you have to Roll for an outcome and could well be a Space on the board (such as in the City) or because of a Spell Card, or a Stranger Adventure Card etc. Rolling for movement will NOT result in a character being changed as you quite rightly point out. Hope that helps.

      Ken, I recieved two lovely parcels from Amazon last night, The Warewolf and the Harbinger, if I was wondering about the toads before hand, I'm definately worried now lol.
      One of these two mini expansions (I won't say which and spoil it for other readers) definately has it's possible fare share of toads lurking if you roll the wrong dice.
      Also as for the Harbinger, regarding all of the Omen cards running out and no one winning the game, there's a brilliant card that puts an excellent twist on this called THE APOCRYPHA, but I'll not spoil that either... you probably know what I'm talking about :-)
      I now use the Reaper, Warewolf and Harbinger with just the base game, so that it's not overwhelming, but the whole game now comes a live. Also starting the game and rolling a 1 on the first move, taking the go as normal then activating the Reaper, this ganme can be over within 5 minutes.
      Ive not played this game sometimes because of it going on and on, but now with so much flexibillity of time frame involved with these mini expansions and the way they are all envolved most of the time... it's brilliant :-)

    I thought I posted this question a few days ago, but cannot find it or an answer...please forgive me Ken if I'm duplicating.
    I'm venturing further and further into more expansions and as my Adventure Card collection grows, I am becoming more and more fascinated at the way Talisman is structured, so that every move and either gaining or losing something just seems perfect.On my own tonight and only using the main board, the Reaper and 2 other mini expansions (Frostmarch and The Firelands), with were delivered today.I have a question for you my friend. I have come across many cards tonight which are confusing me on the same issue. One of them for example is the Flame Rift (Event).It says "burn all adventure cards in this space" (which I understand), and the top 3 cards off the adventure deck. I'm trying to understand the reasoning of burning loads of cards off of the adventure deck?I must have 350 to 400 adventure cards, so burning them (removing from the game) will only result in EVENTUALLY running out of cards.Can you kindly explain the reasoning behind this process for me please... I can only think that the Firelands wants to burn Talisman completely and once all of the adventure cards are gone, the game ends and all characters on the board will mention that phrase by Kenneth Williams in the carry on film... "Frying tonight" 😆

      Nealty caught up with all the comments! Good we're getting more but means it takes me longer to responed. May have to do question and answer videos!
      Ah, nice you've got The Firelands. This starts to change the shape of the board, as you've propably found out, with the use of the Terrain Cards.
      The theme of this expansion is burning and destruction. So burning cards from the Adventure Deck fits thematically. They have made some Adventure Cards Fireproof. This means they cann't be burned out of the game so there will always be Adventure Cards in the deck. If you do mange to burn through all of the non Fireproof Adventure Cards then you will be left with an amount of Fireproof Adventure Cards in the discard pile. Once you reahc the bottom of the Adventure deck you simply shuffle the discard deck to create a new Adventure Deck and keep on playing. I'd be very surprised if you burn all the non Fireproof cards though even if just plaiyng with the base game and The Firelands expansion. Lol, nice!

    HELP! Quick talisman question re. the Inner Region Pit Fiends!
    If a player rolls a 4, thus encountering 4 Pit Fiends to fight (4 str each), do they combine their attack (16 str)? And if the player wins his roll, are all 4 Fiends beaten at once, or are 3 left over to fight (now 12 str)? We can't figure this out from the rules and need help urgently. Thanks :)

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  6 лет назад

      With this space, the Pit Fiends fight separately (NOT combined) with Strength 4 each. You roll 1 die to see how many you have to fight separately until you die or you kill all of them. This is because the Pits space says to fight them separately. This is different to the normal rule of Adventure Card Enemies that DO combine if on the same space. Hope that makes sense. The wording on the space is this: Fight the Pitfiends"
      Roll one die and fight that many Pitfiends with Strength4 each one-by-one until either you are defeated or you defeat all the Pitfiends.
      You may move on the turn after all Pitfiends are defeated.

    • @Anduril1974
      @Anduril1974 6 лет назад +1

      @@thebottledimp That's extremely helpful thank you for your reply.
      My only concern with that rule, and why we thought there must be a mistake in the first place, is that if I have str 10 at this point (which is entirely possible with most characters, even 'casters'), I could be fight a million str 4 fiends, and they can never beat me. Even if I had str 8 or 9 the chances of me losing are minuscule - even if I fought 6 of them. It just feels like a poor challenge given that's the final tile before reaching the crown.
      Have you ever considered some house rules to make it more of a challenge or has it never been an issue in your games?

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  6 лет назад

      Yes, it does seem a bit easy but that way, the previous two spaces test your Craft so maybe the idea was your Strength may not be that good. We just know to get your Strength and Craft to at least 8 before going for the Crown of Command.

    I've become a little discouraged playing this game now. Not only because I've played it so many times, that I pretty much do the same things every time, but I've seen a lot of unofficial expansions that make the game so much better! Lots of cool new items, mounts, quests, classes, even boards but I'm mostly interested in all the new cards. One of the most interesting things are all the monsters that do something new.
    Printing all that out would take forever though, and it'd be a lot of work. I'm not sure how to make it look good.
    I suppose instead of a simple paper, I could buy blank cards online of similar size and just write on them.. but that wouldn't be very immersive to keep looking at my terrible handwriting.
    What I mean is I kinda don't feel like playing again, without those expansions.

      Yeah, I guess most games can suffer from over playing. Not seen any of the unofficial expansions. I guess that's the problem with them; the printing is required which is a bit of a pain. I wonder if the people who devise these unofficial ones could Kiskstarter them? Maybe that would break copyright laws.
      You may want to check out The Cataclysm expansion when that is published (first quarter of this year) as it replaces the base game board complete and all the spaces are different. That should give a mew feel to the game.

    If I take two cards off of the Adventure deck and the 1st (which is an Enemy-Animal strength 4) results in a stand off which means I don't lose a life, the rules state that my characters turn immediately ends.
    But does this only apply if I only drew 1 card. As I drew 2 cards Can I look at the 2nd card and do what it says or not, as I never killed the monster on the first card. I don't think I can touch the 2nd card until the Enemy-Animal on the 1st is killed and your profession advice on this will be adhered by 😊Many thanks,Terry

      Good question. You have to resolve the cards in numeric order. Lowest number resolves first. The numbers are the small ones in a circle bottom right of the cards. I think the order is 1) Events, 2) Enemy, 3) Strangers, 4) Objects and Followers, 6) Places. So if you pick up 2 or more cards you resolve the lowest first then in order. If you had a sword and an enemy you would have to resolve the enemy with combat WITHOUT the use of that sword since it has a higher number. If you win or evade the enemy you can then resolve the sword card by picking it up if you wish. If you lose or stand off, that's the end of your turn and you can't pick up the sword. All the expansion 'Adventure' cards work like that even if you have to resolve different ones from different expansions in one turn. Hope that's clearclear! By the way, if you draw 2 or more enemy cards and they are either all Strength or all Craft you have to fight them at the same time. You have to add all the scores up and only roll one dice for attack. Example: I draw 1 Dragon with Strength 7 and 1 boar with Strength 1, that's a total of 8. Another player then rolls 1 die and gets a 5, giving a total of 13. I have a total of 9 Strength and roll a 2, giving a total of 11. I lose and both enemy cards remain on the space. If you draw 1 enemy that is Craft and 1 that is Strength, you still have to fight them both, or evade if you want and can, but you fight them separately. You can chose which one to eight first because they both have the order number of 2. Be aware though as some enemy cards may have a different number.

    I only found out about this last night i've never played Talisman and now i'm in a little bit of a panick. Games Workshop is ending their contract with Fantasy Flight and you will no longer be able to buy it after February 2017. I'm going to go ahead and by the base game asap. Any recommendations on what expansions I should buy for it?

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  8 лет назад

      +Gurubu Gaming
      Yes, not sure what's happening with the game after that. I'd go for a couple of the mini ones like The Reaper, Blood Moon, Sacred Pool. The City, The Woodland corner board expansions add a lot of new mechanics. The Dragon is tough! The other corner expansions are more of the base game and The Cataclysm is a totally new board that replaces the base board. We've done all the expansions apart from 2 really mini ones and you can find them all in our Talisman playlist.

      Thanks! I'll check out your other videos and decide which ones seem like the best to get. It seems after February 2017 they will no longer be sold and available (and i've also read the prices on currently available copies are starting to go up). Btw great video first one i've seen on your channel keep up the good work :) Also official link: www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2016/9/9/a-new-path-forward/

      Cool. The Pied Piper card I was looking at was from The City expansion and has The City back of the card. Unless there is another one in a different expansion?

    • @Bassmunchkin1
      @Bassmunchkin1 8 лет назад

      Yep of course, you're spot on Ken and my mistake sorry. I saw the back of the card and mistook it for a gate, but was thinking of a dungeon gate.
      I know what I have done wrong. I have cut out bits of card from cereal packets and wrote a C for city, D for dungeon etc and put them on the back of the packs with elastic bands, so that at a glance, I would be able to set the game up quicker.
      I have just checked my decks of cards and the D card, was on the City deck, I seriously need to blame it on age (55) lol, or maybe we could mention that playing every night, needs to include a night off at some stage lol
      Tonight might be a good starting point, as it's 9pm and just got in from work.
      As always mate, great chatting and thanks for your valued time.
      Terry

    Hi Ken, how you been keeping, I hope that you are well.Well I'm venturing further and further into more expansions and as my Adventure Card collection grows, I am becoming more and more fascinated at the way Talisman is structured, so that every move and either gaining or losing something just seems perfect.Im on my own tonight and only using the main board, the Reaper and 2 other mini expansions (Frostmarch and The Firelands), which were delivered today.I have a question for you my friend. I have come across many cards tonight which are confusing me on the same issue. One of them for example is the Flame Rift (Event).It says "burn all adventure cards in this space" (which I understand), and the top 3 cards off of the adventure deck. I'm trying to understand the reasoning of burning loads of cards off of the adventure deck.I must have 350 to 400 adventure cards, so burning them (removing from the game) will only result in EVENTUALLY running out of cards.Can you kindly explain the reasoning behind this process for me please... I can only think that the Firelands wants to burn Talisman completely and once all of the adventure cards are gone, the game ends and all characters on the board will mention that phrase by Kenneth Williams in the carry on film... "Frying tonight" 😆
    Either way, I bet there's a logical explanation,
    Kind regards,Terry

      Thank you Dean of Games. Glad you like our Talisman episodes. The wooden truck was given to me by my mum's nursing home. It was a hamper gift from a supplier, they weren't using it so I asked if I could have it. Or, I stole it from an Orge from his cave. It was bursting with gold coins! That one's more exciting!

    Thank you so much for all the Talisman videos you've made! I had played the game many many years ago, I'd guess it was the 2nd edition or something... anyways, I used to enjoy it very much, but for some reason I kinda forgot about it.
    I stumbled upon this video and got a bit nostalgic, and just the day after I found the base set at an discount in a local store! I instantly bought it, and in this moment I'm eagerly waiting for The Reaper, The Dungeon and The Highlands expansions since I think they looked like they might the best expansions to buy for starters, according to your reviews.
    I noticed that there are atleast two expansions that you haven't reviewed, atleast as far as I can see...Nether Realm and Cataclysm. Any plans on reviewing them?
    Thanks again for the awesome videos! Keep up the good work!

    • @thebottledimp
      @thebottledimp  9 лет назад +1

      My pleasure Duke! Oh, yes! Going to be reviewing all of the expansions. Currently there are 12 of them! (4 big ones, 8 minis) Won't be for about a month as we've just filmed the next set of reviews but at least 1 of the big reviews will be in the next lot of filming. If you are thinking of getting on of the big ones (the corner board expansions) I would start with The Dungeon or even The City. The Dungeon is all about fighting monsters and plundering. You get extra characters, Adventure Cards (Dungeon Cards), Spell Cards and there is a big boss to fight if you make it to the end of the Dungeon. The City is all about buying cool equipment, spells, potions, even pets for your character. Plus you can gamble and take on Bounty Cards to fulfill. So adds a different feel to the game. And you get new characters, and new spells etc Great fun! Hope that helps.
