It's already in the new video. You should see the Montparnasse train disaster in 1895. The train crashed into the station building, and parts of the building crushed a newspaper stand. The woman who was inside died because the owner (her husband) went to get more newspapers and he told her to stay and look at the stand, when he returned there was a locomotive and the remains of what had been the stand, a Type Hugo train crash, to see it.
Quick little fact: Train derailments happen every day, but ones that cause injuries/fatalities are EXTREMELY rare. If a plane crashes, there's a pretty high chance you'll die, but if a train derails, it's a very low chance.
Depends on WHAT You count as a plane crash, an asiana flight once Lost it's whole back section when landing at over 200 mphs and only 3 people died (funnily enought, one of the 3 people got ran over by a fire truck) Planes are the safest way of travel, and most accidents occur on prívate planes
I don’t think you’ve ever done any research of plane crashes besides like 1 paragraph, it is not likely you will die in a plane crash unless it was at a dangerous angle it crashed or it was 9/11 or something. In general, if you die in a plane crash you are a pretty unlucky person
In the US, almost the entirety of the insane number of derailments happen in controlled environments, such as rail yards, and is usually the result of engineer and/or brakeman(conductor) error. As rail travel has advanced, so have the systems to prevent disasters. With the introduction of PTC, EOT’s, and advanced tracking systems(sometimes as advanced as what ATC’s use), rail travel has become the second safest form of transportation, with the first being aircraft. The number of derailments is exaggerated by the media to the point where people expect the worst. In the last year, especially, with the increase in highly publicized incidents, railroads and railroad safety have become a topic of debate and has even resulted in legislature being pushed by the white collars in Washington. After East Palestine, for some reason, there was a brief increase in mainline incidents. Among the most notable would be the derailment in Collegedale Tennessee, on December 20th, 2022. -> TL;DR: Mainline derailments are extremely dangerous, but extremely rare. Don’t buy into the media nonsense.
Planes are incredibly safe and it is very and I mean extremely rare for an emergency. if you ever look plane crashes up you will notice lots of them happen in the mid 60s to 90s as planes were not as advanced as today. so dont be as worried about planes, they are incredibly safe. Also if you look up crashes every year you might see a lot but if you think about it, over 10,000 planes safely get to there destination every day. I hope this helps @flush
Most train accidents are due to drivers driving over crossings at unsafe times ignoring any warnings. That can result in a derailment. Train crashes for other reasons are super rare and only happen about once every 3 months i guess. But deaths onboard trains are very rare, so rail travel and air travel are about equally safe for passengers. Freight rail is different, as many countries have rail only for freigh with few saftey systems. Germany for example has PZB, LZB, SIFA and ETCS to name a few are in use on all trains. PZB is a system that will stop the train unless the driver acknowledges signals showing green-yellow (expect slow), yellow (expect stop) and any speed reduction warning below 100 km/h. LZB is basically like autopilot. It is only in use on high-speed lines. SIFA is a vigilance system that sounds an alarm every 30 seconds that the driver must acknowledge. ETCS prevents the train from going above the speed limit and prevents SPADs (Signal Passed At Danger). In the USA, on the other hand, most trains only use one saftey device, the alerter. It sounds an alarm every minute that the driver has to acknowledge. Sometime ATCS is in use, but mostly only on passenger railway. So rail travel is super safe. Compared to travelling by car, train and plane is super safe. This was a very long comment, but i am so annyoed that you label train travel as something to avoid. Edit: Most railroads in America use Positive Train Control (PTC) as well
The *tangiwill* game was actually made just for fun, There weren’t British mail cars on the train and there was not a Furncass railway k2 like Edward is ( the engine on the game you saw on the train ) it was 1953 and all the k2 locomotives were scrapped by then, the coaches were New Zealand railways style although they do look like britsh long coaches, and the head of the train was KA 949, a 4-8-4 northern type locomotive If you wondering what 4-8-4 means, it means locomotive wheel arrangements, they are usually used on steam locomotives but sometimes also can be found on experimental diesel locomotives. The 4-8-4 means 4 leading unpowered wheels, eight large driving wheels, and another four driving wheels. How they got the name of them? Well the first 4-8-4s were used on the Northern Pacific Railway, their name came from the fact they were used on the northern pacific, want to learn more? search up Amtrak guy 365 how steam locomotives got their name. Edit: Holy shit six likes thanks
The game you play in the beginning of the video was actually based off a lost episode of Thomas and Friends called, "Thomas and The Unfinished Bridge", but it's not real at all!
The last one with the boat, those students got told by the captain to stay calm and in your room/ hallway untill it got a very quick dark turn. They could nowhere to escape. It's the captain faults, he was too calm.
For people saying 9/11 is the deadliest plane crash, yes it is. But the video is talking about deadliest *single* plane crash, only consisting of 1 plane, while 9/11 consisted of more, 9/11 also had ground casualities. There's 3 things, JAL 123 being the deadliest *single* plane crash, Tenerife being the deadliest plane crash/ *collision* , and 9/11 being the deadliest *aviation related* accident (not really an accident...)
You should see the M.S Estonia tragedy in 1994, it's a RoPack (cruise ferry) that sunk in the Baltics in a rough storm. FedEx 14 was coming in a land on tokyo international until the md-11 bounced 2 or 3 times and banked right on the 4th bounce causing a fatal crash no survivors where found😢

The ferry disaster was more darker then the wiki stated see, the captain said to stay put because he wanted to make out of there then the students if u dont know it is the captains job to evacuate everyone and if they dont they get arrested. Rip to all of the students who got tricked😓
one thing to note is that most train derailments are minor freight accidents in which one or several cars come off the track usually not hurting anyone, fatal derailments of passenger trains are extremely rare
You should play the Cajon Pass Runaway train of 1989 in which a train ran away after losing its brakes and derailed into a town and later caused a massive pipe fire. A quick note as I am a train enthusiast and happened to find this, train accidents are quite common, but that usually from stupid people in cars. And deaths are very for them aswell.
What makes the federal express runaway even crazier is that the inauguration of a president was coming soon, so they had to build a temporary floor ON TOP of the GG1 which had fallen into the basement, removing it later on after the fact, and the locomotive still exists today!

4:21 that includes ALL derailments. The most common "derailments" are when the train just jumps a rail while going slow, and they just rerail it without injuries or anything.

The Captain and Crew ran for escape and said “No one else was in there” while on the other hand, there were approximately 250 HIGH SCHOOL KIDS IN THE FERRY. And they were* in there and some people tied their life jackets to each other’s and the cause of it was extreme docking (banking)
I know plenty about the Tangiwai train wreck. On Christmas eve of 1953 at 10:20PM a bunch of waves destroyed some pillars which made a bridge collapse. When a couple of people witnessed the bridge one of them grabbed a flashlight and waved at the train but the drivers had no idea what was going on so the person with the flashlight had to move out of the way and when the drivers saw the bridge they applied the brakes but it was too late. Sadly, the train crashed into the river and only 134/285 survived. What a terrifying disaster.
Rip to all those kids on the Sewol, It’s disgusting that he really told them to stay in their rooms, and all those other people that just sat and watched. Rip to those 325 students, and only 75 students survived 🎗️
Here’s a thing that a lot of people mistake: The pilots of JAL123 did not put the gear down for a emergency landing, they put the gear down to try to stabilize the plane. (exact time in the air 34min)
As a Train-enthusiast I can say although they seem more dangerous most of the crashes are minor derailments like the engine comes off the track it’s right wheals is in between the tracks and nothing else comes off
6:23 the plane did something called a dolphin landing which basically means the plane bounces higher and higher when it lands and it just wont actually land and just keeps bouncing instead which makes the plane flip over
never mind that wasn't a dolphin landing I got mixed up with fed ex flight 80 instead and also when the plane moves side to side and shakes a lot while landing it is called a cross wind landing
Flush, you should try to find the blackbox recordings of all the plane crashes you have covered, especially JAL 123's recording, which the last lines was: Captain:this is the end GPWS: TERRAIN TERRAIN. PULL UP! PULL UP! [First impact with mountain side, tearing the left wing off] GPWS:PULL UP! PULL UP! [Final impact with mountain] In which only 4 (initially 54) out of the 520 aboard.
What's crazy about the Federal Express runaway train was that after it crashed through the station it was actually built into the basement until it could be cleaned up because there was a presidential meeting happening at that exact Station and the leftover train was just turned into a Break room
On the runaway train incident, the one person's name was John Feeney. Thats literally the name of my grandfather. First and last name are the exact same. What a crazy coincidence.
Wait till you hear about the Szárazrét and Szajol train incidents in Hungary. Your feat of trains will become stronger, and you will start developing a fear of railroad crosses
"Your odds of being in an accident during a flight is one in 1.2 million, and the chance of that being fatal is one in 11 million. Comparatively, your chances of dying in a car crash are over 200,000 times higher, averaging around one in 5,000." Wow, I thought planes were deadlier
Fun fact: the train that crashed through the station actually fell into the basement because the floor couldn’t support its weight. Once the situation was cleared and if I’m correct they left the train in the basement.
4:20 one, nice. Also, the word ‘derail’ is a bit misleading, as most of the time when a train derails, it’s just got a few wheels off the track, it’s not usually a 20 car pileup. For these incidents most of the time the men just lever the train back on the tracks.
Remember, you don’t have to be scared that the plane you’re on might crash. There are around 70,000 plane accidents every year. But everyday, there are more than 100,000 flights!
I don’t know if there is a game for Alaska Airlines Flight 261 but I am obsessed with that crash and those pilots were just as fearless and helpless as the pilots on JAL 123.
@@itsyourboy940 I mean because of the hole video I rlly mean it BCS now I know that trains crash even more often then planes I kinda have the feeling that trains crash half of the time now or smth
The Tangiwai train disaster that happened in December 24th 1953 at 10:21pm the railway gauge was 3 ft 6 inch gauge also called cape gauge the locomotive was a NZR Ka class 4-8-4 no 949 they were 35 of the class built between 1939-1945-1950
Another disaster: the Kismet train collision. Train #1: a cement train led by BNSF 4475, BNSF 4715, NS 8967, and BNSF 4576. train #2: a Manifest (mixed freight cars) led by BNSF 4059, NREX 5473, BNSF 1065, FURX 8110, BNSF 2437, BNSF 7065, and BNSF 997. both trains collided at Kismet siding with the Manifest turning onto the siding, And the cement going straight, however, they both collided at the SAME time, and not one colliding with the middle of the other. all but one locomotive was saved and restored. the rest were scrapped.
FedEx flight 14 was similar to FedEx flight 80. what happened to FedEx flight 80 was that a bounced like flight 14 and finally the wing broke off, causing the airplane to flip

Flush, you should try to find the blackbox recordings of all the plane crashes you have covered, especially JAL 123's recording, which the last lines was:
Captain:this is the end
GPWS: TERRAIN TERRAIN. PULL UP! PULL UP!
[First impact with mountain side, tearing the left wing off]
GPWS:PULL UP! PULL UP!
[Final impact with mountain]
In which only 4 (initially 54) out of the 520 aboard.
4:09 New fear unlocked: THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE
6:02 I was born on the same day of the crash. 31/07/1997. Freaky, right?
What's crazy about the Federal Express runaway train was that after it crashed through the station it was actually built into the basement until it could be cleaned up because there was a presidential meeting happening at that exact Station and the leftover train was just turned into a Break room
Rip Edward😢😢
Amtrak is one of the safest only crashing a few times
On the runaway train incident, the one person's name was John Feeney. Thats literally the name of my grandfather. First and last name are the exact same. What a crazy coincidence.
Fun fact about the runaway:The locomotive fell into the basement, but the workers were on coffee break and that saved their lives
Comparatively, your chances of dying in a car crash are over 200,000 times higher, averaging around one in 5,000."
Wow, I thought planes were deadlier
I have been on over 90 Amtrak an metro link trains and none crashed or derailed
Fun fact: the train that crashed through the station actually fell into the basement because the floor couldn’t support its weight. Once the situation was cleared and if I’m correct they left the train in the basement.
4:20 one, nice. Also, the word ‘derail’ is a bit misleading, as most of the time when a train derails, it’s just got a few wheels off the track, it’s not usually a 20 car pileup. For these incidents most of the time the men just lever the train back on the tracks.
2:52 the most shocking part is that the engine survived the crash and still around today.
Thank you so much for giving me nightmares and phobia of trains 🙏
Its just a game ai kid
@@itsyourboy940 I mean because of the hole video I rlly mean it BCS now I know that trains crash even more often then planes I kinda have the feeling that trains crash half of the time now or smth
@@cellomascha8575 WELL THEY DONT NOW KID
The Tangiwai train disaster actually happened in my home country.,It was a horrific event that wont be forgotten.
I'm in New Zealand as well
At least he tried pronouncing tangiwai right.
What is even sadder is the fact that the tangiway rail disaster happened on december 24th, a day before cristmas day😢
The The Big Lie was the most important story in this series and it is one that will continue
Tangiwai train more like Edward's mail train.
You forgoted a train crash that is the 2013 castleton train collision
2010 Carrbridge Train Derailment 11 Years Later
0:05 Brody really put Thomas and friends Edward as a real life crash 😭
Right
FedEx flight 14 was similar to FedEx flight 80. what happened to FedEx flight 80 was that a bounced like flight 14 and finally the wing broke off, causing the airplane to flip
Next video could you do turkish airlines flight 981
At first I thought you were a clickbait RUclipsr like LankyBox, but I love these videos.
I sweari, if someone makes a makes a Audi RS6 crash recreation-
The tangiwai rail disaster happens on Christmas Eve of 1953.it’s kind of sad to thing of dying the day before christmas
