Thanks man for the invite ❤ It was fun talking. Also for any one wanting to find unnecessary controversies, please don’t. We just had a conversation and kept our perspectives. As I said, always see positives :)
DSA is like a foundation. In my college time, I only understand the concepts. But while working in companies I realize DSA is very important if you want to optimize things. I can develop applications but when it comes to solving some complex problems there I face lots of issues and then I realize that I have to make my fundamentals strong finally I started DSA learning and solving problems after 3 years of experience and now I am thinking if I could have learned DSA and practice in college time it could be much much better. But anyway I feel still a good time to start and it's not late to start. The good thing is I realized and start.
Bro I am studying dsa in c language because I want to do mtech, I am in sem 3 now . Now currently I have python programming in college . Which language is best in future according to your experience? Can I have your Instagram for coding related questions
After watching 8 minutes of the video, I am commenting based on the discussion during that time. I strongly agree with Striver's points. As a Java full-stack developer with 3 years of experience, I have worked with a Indian MNC that focuses on service-based projects. Approximately 2.5 years ago, I used to write code that frequently received code review comments from the tech lead, who has around 30 years of experience and represents the client side. However, in the past 6 months, I have dedicated time to learning algorithms and data structures, solving approximately 300 problems on different platforms. This has resulted in a significant shift in my thought process and the way I write code. Although there are many aspects I cannot fully explain, I have experienced substantial changes. Algorithms and data structures are indeed fundamental and essential components. and code sbka chalta hai, but code dekhne se pta chal jata hai kisne likha hai and likhne wale ko kitni understanding hai,
In this conversation i really learnt many more things not only coding or development but also what's should do from a tier-3 college student...thanks for this 🙏
Great video, we need more videos like this with actual experienced engineers rather than youtube influencers Why don't you do a interview with kishan mittal - GATE CSE 2021 RANK 2
Stripe doesn’t require DSA for any round. A lot more companies are transitioning to more practical interviews than rote DSA. Dsa has nothing to do with how efficient your code is. What matters is Design Patterns, Code Architectures, understanding of TDD to be a better software developer. This is complete bullshit when someone says - “Development toh koi bhi karlega”
I just had my interview with a Saas company I cleared 2 technical rounds with the help of DSA and Java knowledge. I failed in last hiring manager round.
Following both striver's RUclips playlist and Rohit bhai ka coders army course.....both are the best if anyone want to learn DSA then go for them no one is close to there way of explanation I am gaining confidence even after having CIVIL engg background all I want to say you can blindly follow both of them they are better than any baiya diddi on RUclips 😊❤ #Chamka#codersarmy#luvforstriver.
Hello 👋.... I started doing DSA ... Most of the time I am able to think of brute force solution.... But I find it hard to optimise code myself... I just wanna ask is it okay to do brute force urself and then watch tutorial for optimal solution and understand it ??
Bhaiya I can't express my feeling I got by your podcast. Extremely sensational knowledge by this. You both are the motivation for us. Salute your journey
I believe he also watches videos of Sandeep Maheshwari. I can relate to him very well because he is incredibly open-minded. I really wish I could meet him in person, but I also feel that I currently lack the knowledge and skills in technical areas, coding, DSA, and others, to match up to him. Due to my current situation, I lack the confidence and find it challenging to study properly. However, I am determined to overcome these obstacles and I will make a sincere effort to work hard and improve myself as quickly as possible. 😣😮💨❤
Even in the open-source world, Git is the most utilized tool, and its commit history is implemented as a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) data structure. This implies that the creator of Git, who also initiated the world's largest OSS project, is knowledgeable in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
What Tanay Pratap said is to follow your passion in development and then get hired by emerging startup based on skills. When you will reach upto a certain level in development skills, then these tech giants will reach you automatically. It meant entry through development path, but you need a certain level of experience in that skill.
What if someone is AI/ML , cybersecurity....working in these domains......And want a a job particularly in these domains only...in good companies, will DSA still be the way of hiring..? Or will DSA still be very much related for such type of fields..?
- DSA is basics> logical > thinking sikho - about cp: "Joh logo seh hota nhi woh excuse krr rhi hai" - you can say new domains are coming up : open source - efficient code is different, need experience! - customization, security in good products are there - you choose what's better for solving the problem statement, good adaptability - it's hard to diffrentatate based on language - contests = dopamine - people around in senior - its more about the belief Alternatives: Early start ups: don't rely on efficiency unlike big giants
I failed jee two times and my family is not financially capable to take my admission to private college and they are suggesting me to do bsc in computer science from state University.... How can I go from there to become a SDE ... Is there even any possibility that I could make this
Main difference between DSA and development is Agar app acche college ho apke pass acha links hai toh dsa is good for you Other wise opt for development rise your links make some experience then go to big companies Tier colleges mai now a days situation is very bad so sirf dsa se nehi chalega vaii
But the problem is if someone wants to become a AI and ML engineer or Data Scientist , Cyber Security expert than DSA is no use at all, tell me where do we can use DSA in AI and ML or in DATA Science.

Come on, man! Tanay never said to stop doing DSA. He simply advised to first learn the fundamentals of programming and then pursue whatever you want.

- DSA is basics> logical > thinking sikho
- about cp: "Joh logo seh hota nhi woh excuse krr rhi hai"
- you can say new domains are coming up : open source
- efficient code is different, need experience!
- customization, security in good products are there
- you choose what's better for solving the problem statement, good adaptability
- it's hard to diffrentatate based on language
- contests = dopamine
- people around in senior
