I just wanted to add something. I had heard of this and this was big news at that point. really big news. I mean Anderson was very well known. And the news said Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. And I was wondering why had Pamela Anderson married the actor from The Fugitive. He was old and not so good looking. Really seemed strange. The Fugitive had released the same time and Tommy Lee Jones was getting rave reviews for his performance. It was the movie that was his breakthrough role in Hollywood. So I thought that maybe he did marry Pamela Anderson.
This show is so great. I couldn’t believe by episode 3 I’m actively routing for Tommy and Pam. Sebastian and Lily bring so much humanity and pathos to their performances.
I know many people are upset that Pamela herself wasn't in favour of this show but, it has actually worked in her favour cos now people know what actually happened. I know it's decades later but still it's helping both of them regain voice by letting people know it wasn't them who leaked the tape. Lot of people thought they did this for money and and nobody knew how damaging it was for both of them especially Pamela. So in a way show did her good.

I honestly really enjoy this show, wish I could binge it. but im more than okay with it because during an episode I'm already captivated and ready for the next! Great job!

Just watched Pamela, A Love Story, and her reaction over this show. But I could never get the empathy to Pam without this project being done. I think this show just want to defend Pam in every way they could. Not the justification part of the thief though.
Regardless, she hasn’t actually given a statement either way. It has also so far shown them as victims and humanised them a bit. It makes you root for their relationship. Regardless of how it turned out in real life, nothing in the show so far has shown these two negatively or different then how they have appeared in public.
This was made against Pamela Anderson's wishes. They are making money off her trauma disregarding the fact that she didn't want this series made. It's exploitative. Also they show Pam and Tommy's relationship as a great love story when in reality Pamela was assaulted and abused by Tommy. I'm sure the actors did an amazing job but I can't watch this with a good conscience.

It’s the same with true crime shows or movies based on true stories. It’s peoples lives and stories used to make money. There has been no actual statement from Pam herself, especially since the show has stared airing. You don’t know what her “wishes”. From what I’ve seen of the show it actually humanises her and makes you empathise with her and what happened. It shows you that it was a crime, it was an interment moment between two newlyweds that was exposed by a disgruntled employee. You feel for their lack of privacy and it shows Pam as someone who wanted more then to just be seen for her body. So far I think they have been telling the story and putting Pam in a very good light

This way they can be true to the story and actually bring a different side to it.
