    What a Chinese team.
Liu Xuan full of grace and smiles. Great bars and wonderdul beam, 2 time Olympian.
Ling Jie gave us a peak of modern UB routines and had an amazing beam.
Huang Mandan beautiful on bars. Dong Fangxiao ahead of her time, had a DTY, round off layout full on bb and her tumbling is still strong to this day.
Yang Yun the best All arounder of the team and one of the best of the games, her team final vault is one of the prettiest vaults I've ever seen, beautiful bars with always a stuck double layout at the end and a big smile; beautiful, original and difficult beam and her floor routine had so much style and grace.
Kui Yuanyuan sadly re injured her knee in the prelims on vault but it's a world champion on floor, performed one of the most amazing beam routines in history and it's one of the few Chinese gymnasts to compete in 2 Olympic games. This team was so strong, elegant and talented!!

It's unfortunate that Dong Fangxiao was found to be underage, this team was so talented. I feel especially bad for Huang Mandan, she was so strong on bars, but was excluded from bar finals due to the 2 per country rule, and now she doesn't even have her Olympic medal. Kui Yuanyuan as well, such a shame about the injury

@@mht4908 yes and she was perfect in prelims, she must've felt so bad that even with her best it wasn't enough. Also Kui worked so hard just to get injured in that suspicious Sydney vault. Oh well... still just making the Olympics representing China is a HUGE accomplishment, medal or no medal, considering how deep their talent pool is. Hope these girls realized that then and now❤❤

    So here's the story:
Chinese gymnast Dong Fangxiao competed in the 1999 World Championships and 2000 Sydney Olympics. After 1996 the minimum age to compete as a senior elite gymnast was raised to 16. Dong was registered in FIG records as having been born in 1983, however when she was working as a national technical officer during the Beijing 2008 Olympic games, her documents stated she was born in 1986, making her 14 in 2000. In 2010 the investigation concluded and it was found out she was underage and the Chinese team were stripped their medals away to be given to originally 4th place Team USA.
