Brilliant! Fantastic use for these shoe organizers. I have seen people build wood framing around them so that they look like builtins. Either way these are fantastic for this purpose.
Yes! the tops have a little "well" or tray area to keep things from falling off. Since the space is so close to the bed, I wanted to use the "tray" space to keep me from knocking things off!

@@chans_spicynoodless you should definitely try these because they’re great for lining the back of your closet or the sides of your closet or really anywhere on any wall to give you some extra storage and I’ve even used them as a small bedside table so the top of it has a little lip on it so you can put things like phones💕😊

I LOVE your idea of lifting it off the floor! And another benefit if you move, they are super light to carry, unlike the heavy dressers that are a pain to carry and move around. I have started to be drawn more to lighter weight furniture that are easy to move around! Thanks for this brilliant idea!!
I used the IKEA Hemnes shoe unit for my small space in my bedroom. I do have those plastic ones behind my kitchen door though for shoes 😊

@@TheoryofSimple Oh I do. I first used for underwear but now hair products and other bits and bobs (no shoes though!). As I also picked up the unit second hand from eBay, it was a bargain. I screwed to the wall for more stability. Adds that extra storage when there isn't room for full depth units 😊
Girl this is from another girl in fort Worth Texas and that is awesome I'm going to remember that I'm getting ready to move from my own brother's home my son is moving up from Houston area and going to move in with my son and his family and I'm not sure exactly where we're going to live but I'm going to remember this because there's never enough storage in any house in my opinion unless you live in a mansion so I've seen these shoe racks before who in the world would have thought about the clothes cuz they always show them at the front door up in Canada there's this girl uses up there because she decorates small spaces awesome

@@nuthinbutlove the wall across my bed is actually two closets. This is a really small bedroom so it is the only wall that I have available.😊

Don’t like the dresser how it doesn’t touch the floor so it has to be anchored to the wall and cant hold alot to much weight but your room looks good
@@rickilynnwolfe8357 well it is balancing on the baseboard, but I have been using this for two years stuffed full of things like jeans and sweatpants and workout clothes and it has not come loose. But you have to remember to use anchors.😊
@@TheoryofSimple all my clothes wouldnt fit in that little dresser but that’s good you can fit what you have in them . Still dont like them but the rest of the room is beautiful 🤗

I just wondered why would someone put a king size bed in a small room
All the rooms in my home are quite small and this is the largest room it also is the master bedroom with a master bathroom and we are two adults that want a king size bed and feel more comfortable in a king size versus a queen size😊

😂 the wall full of baskets could hold a HUGE dresser and not clutter your bedside

change out the fronts. the plastic looks crappy.
Well, on this particular unit it is a temporary solution until I find something else that I like so it will have to do😊

@@BlondeQtie yeah I like those as well. Eventually, these will go into a closet to hold shoes. I also like these are only 6 inches in depth so the very limited amount of space I have between my bed and the wall this works.. thank you so much for your suggestion and your feedback! 😊

I love them and this idea for them! I got a similar wood-look set at IKEA for actual shoe storage in our last house, because we didn't have a proper entryway, and it changed the whole space. I got a Trones set last year for our large camper trailer we're working on making more into a tiny home. They're so great for all kinds of storage solutions.

@@deenad3562 vs what? I was not able to find a furniture piece with those small dimensions to be able to give me ample storage. Plus , if I move or decide to rearrange this unit I have the flexibility to do so. Money well spent. 😊

I'm blessed with a walk-in closet ( though I don't walk in as it is full of storage bins for clothes and non-clothes. I keep clothes in bin to keep from dust mites ). If one day I get a regular bed instead of air bed, I'm fixing to get bedrisers so to take some most commonly used bins and put them under bed to free up closet space. Then use a step to get in and out of bed. I prefer bed higher off ground anyway, so....

I had a queen air bed, bit when I had to get new one, I downsized to full to see if I can do full again as I sleep alone and my boyfriend sleeps separate but this air mattress is 24" above ground imstead of 18" like last one. I decided it was worth the smaller bed to have another side table. As weird as it sounds, my bedroom is more my hang out spot than living room when I nit have outside company or my adult son over.
However, I still am so very grateful to have an apartment that is not studio or efficient.

Feeling blessed at one point to have 350 ft.² to my own when I went through a divorce. Those trong things from Ikea are just awful. They do not clip together and the back side of that flip down lid is less than half the height so everything always falls into the void behind the flip out lid. Just terrible.

@@helenbrough43 I didn’t put a wooden shelf on the top because there’s a little wells on the top of each of these cases that keep things from falling off. Especially since it’s so close to the side of the bed, I didn’t want things to just get swept off accidentally.

How many sq ft is this bedroom
The bedroom is 11 x 13’ but I also have to give access to a walk to the master bathroom with closets on that side so the actual space is probably about 11 x 11

@@WeAreStrongwithJesus the reason why we got a king size bed is because my partner had quadruple bypass surgery and our king size bed is actually two twin mattresses that he could have hospital style bed while recovering. I need to lift my end up when I’m sleeping because I’ve had a esophageal cancer so this allows us to each have our beds at different heights and you cannot do that with a queen size bed.😊

That’s another great idea. The reason why I did not put a shelf on top is because the top of the boxes have a little lip that help hold things on there in case they get knocked around because there’s such a narrow pathway for me to get to and from my bed and I didn’t want anything else to stick out any further that I could bump into😊

@@lornawood3260 i didn’t add a board to the top because the tops have a lip to help keep things from falling off. Also, there is so little room to get by that I didn’t want anything more to stick out from the wall. But if you have the room, it would be nice to box in the whole unit to give it a nice look😊
