Deadpool was one of the big memeable characters in the otaku circle in the early 2010's Japanese internet. Their portrait of him is rather obscure due to him being integrated into what they think of American humor is back then.
It’s so jarring how well voiced Deapool is vs the rest of the characters, you can really tell who enjoys their character. Even the animation is better on Deadpool. Also, Jason Spisak voices Deadpool, AKA Silco from Arcane
@ElPavoPavil Possibly, but even when the other characters should be emoting, their faces and voices are pretty stifled, vs Spisak as Deadpool who is very expressive with both the facial animation and voice. It wouldn't surprise me if more money was allocated to his animation vs the other characters since he is so beloved. This is just speculation though. :).

If you guys want some serious anime, I can recommend some 😊 "Violet Evergarden" (war-related, it's about a child soldier learning what human emotions are after the war is over, made me cry several times), "86" (also war-related, deals with racism and the reality that you can't save everyone nor can you change the system overnight), and "Moriarty the Patriot" (based on the Sherlock Holmes stories but with Moriarty as the protagonist, dark but satisfying if you like seeing rich assholes get what they deserve)
