all the superstars in the league are phenomenal defenders other than steph and luka (and maybe jokic, but hes great at specific things that the nuggets plan their defense around). and steph has a huge motor on defense

Even though we lost, I love that Paolo stayed aggressive tonight. I can really see the work he put into his game from the way he plays. Unfortunately Just had one of those games from three as a team, making our first three in the third quarter. When those start dropping again, we’ll easily be back to our winning ways. Go Magic!

During his rookie season and even before that, lots of people were claiming he will never even be an average defender, but Paolo moves his feet very well for a 6'10 250 guy. Just needs better focus/effort at times. He's not a bad shot blocker either. We've seen a lot of improvement on the defensive end from his first year, and i believe he will be a very good defender throughout his career.
Im irritated that his rookie year was overlooked because everyone was talking about wemby instead. Paolo is solid and deserved more shine .

Been tellin' y'all about this dude. He reminded me of a bigger Tatum coming into the draft, especially coming from Duke as well. His game looks so much more polished this year. He reminded me of a mix of Tatum & Stoudemire last year, but now he just looks like an all around star. Future is bright for the Magic.
